i kinda skimmed through and thought you typed "pants". Afterall, this character was told on screen to put his clothes back on.I’ll pick one up. I can imagine they’ll borrow parts from the Sol figure, which is pretty smart reuse.
Yeah, I'd have preferred the Stranger and Jecki by a country mile. Still, I may get this figure. He was a decent enough character and I'm sure the figure will look great. It'll be nice to have a small number of High Republic Jedi.I’ll pick one up. I can imagine they’ll borrow parts from the Sol figure, which is pretty smart reuse.
I do hope they make Jecki. Her and the Stranger are my top wants for The Acolyte, and I imagine they’ll make the Stranger at some point. Jecki is more uncertain.
Yeah, I might get him and the upcoming ()Didn't like the character so ne real need for the figure. If I want Jedi fodder there's always Sol to use and will come out sooner.
Should have been Jecki, but I understand why they chose Yord. Said it all along Sol reuse, swap the head and you've got Yord. That's Hasbro.
The Black Series versions of Sol and Yord actually share very few parts in common. Which is odd because I’m used to Hasbro being more lazy than that.Didn't like the character so ne real need for the figure. If I want Jedi fodder there's always Sol to use and will come out sooner.

And is it me or does he have different boots than Sol? The image is too small.
"New sculpt" as in what though? Surely, it's not 100%. Probably head, lower legs and belt/skirt at most. So they're using "new" very loosely when they should have aptly called it "partial tool".
It's not. Same upper legs and upper arms. Same torso, probably just different overlay.Looks to be 100% new.
It's too small to see the fine details from one gauntlet pattern to the other, so it looked the same to me. Could be new lower arms. It's similar to Sol's sculpt, but the details are different. For instance, the gauntlets have a different pattern and the torso has more shirt layers than Sol's. It seems like a shrunk-down version of the Black Series one, which is also a unique sculpt compared to TBS Sol. The only part I can't quite tell is the upper legs because they're kind of obscured.

BTW, I'm not knocking it for reuse, it's good leveraging and what I expected from Sol's mold. I just don't appreciate the terminology used, of it being "new", as if they're trying to convince us we're getting two totally distinct all new molds. Nothing wrong with some reuse, never has been.
In fact, it would be stupid and fiscally irresponsible not to utilize reuse here when you can.
Oh, there's definitely a "complete tool" involved here."New sculpt" as in what though? Surely, it's not 100%. Probably head, lower legs and belt/skirt at most. So they're using "new" very loosely when they should have aptly called it "partial tool".
Yes, which is why I asked a simple question because from what I could tell they looked different, so I was looking to see if anyone else noticed. It's not my fault the image available was grainy/poor quality. Or I would have stated it as a fact they were. I wasn't looking for an argument, just a discussion. When I looked at a better image, I spotted the same fabric folds in the arms and legs that Sol has, so IMO, it makes more sense to reuse those parts than to sculpt all new identical ones.By your own admission, you couldn't tell for sure if the boots were different (They are). No offense, but I'm not sold on your judgment of the rest of the sculpting.
Given the TVC budget it makes logical sense to reuse these parts and only sculpt new parts where there is an obvious difference, if they're actually wasting tooling budget to redo perfectly good upper arms and legs and torso then they should have cheapened out with Andor's boots! The upper legs are harder to identify since they're partially obscured. I'm not sold on them being the same. I'd have to see it in person. Upper arms look similar to Sol's but the folding looks slightly different. Again, I'd have to see that one in person and compare.
