I guess we know what the wave will include some or all of the following;
^Will be the best wave if this is the case (pun not intended).
Well I imagine that would be 2 waves. But I agree, there are some great choices there. Particularly in light of the terrible first few waves.
^I would guess 2 waves as well, especially if add in the rumored naboo pilot, a-wing pilot and the infamous mia rex...that'll be 2 waves of 5 not counting the 41st clone repaint if that happens. The 2 pilots i believe were also later found in wm's computers. Also i think stan hinted wv4 or 5 will be esb heavy, and there are 5 listed above from esb
I for one am stoked for this wave for 2 reasons:
1. It's primarily OT heavy, including a few never before made figs and a few that I feel could use an update.
2. Although we continually verbally flog the ever living crap out of Hasbro, this wave does give proof that they do listen to us as collectors (not as much as they should though).
so all in all, aside from Vizam in wave 3, I'll have to wait until this wave drops before I start really hunting again

Not sure about that at all. They do listen for sure, but I dont think that influences Hasbro decision making as much as other factors.
then again, i somewhat recall reading that the honor guard is part of a bp and if the rots vader is the vader in the euro case listing for wave 3 (sometimes early pics of upcoming waves do not include all in the wave, like wave 1 pics didnt include anakin and the clones at first) that could leave a wave of 6 for wave 4 from above list, so really there are multy-possibilities. As far as rex, naboo pilot, and awing pilot...maybe toss in the 2 mia BAD astromech and there's a amazon excl. part2....again many possibilities, kinda fun speculating
As far I am concerned, I am treating the one from the WalMart list confirmed as Basic Line figures. Its very unlikely there would be a change there!
I dont recall if all of that list was from the computer, but I know most were, I know all the ESB ones were.
SOme of them do seem terrible choices though, and much more suited as Battle Packs and pack-ins, eg A-Wing Pilot, Medal Bearer etc etc.
a few of the amazom carded figs, also showed up on the wm list w/ upcs ...tie pilot, 212st clone, sandtrooper( likely corporal) so if these do not get remixed into tbs as hasbro implied, then i guess things could change. however, under normal circumstances, i would agree that if in retail computer as single releases then likely thats what they'd be. but again, these amazon excls do throw a wrench in the gears a bit. Unless these BAD cards were intended to be card variants like last years lost line, or previous gold coins, "revengeOTK", cards etc and idea got dropped for retail release and made a excl out of them. also there are a few more listed in the wm computer, saesae tiin, jag, gal marine, 327th clone, palpatine...a wave right there

yeah, i think it may came from that flyguy site. Palpatine (ep3) and a few others had a upc posted w/ it. I tried to find it again through jta archives but link wasnt working great. i did however copied the lists and saved them. here's what i saved that had upcs listed w/ each fig:

I see, I hadnt realised that. Good point. But the point remains that the only way these figures aren't coming in the basic line, is if plans change. And really the only way these plans are likely to change is if they are released an alternative way, like the amazon set. At this point that may seem unlikely, since retailer exclusives are set for now? I think you are right, I bet they were originally intended as basic line figures, and we changed late on.

Well yeah I am sure there are some PT ones that need re-doing. But the last OT Emperor we got, of any kind, was over 5 years ago.

Yeah, unless they make a new headsculpt (doubt it). And I don't think he was in TCW for Hasbro to personalize him like Neyo.
It's a great sculpt, so I will still pick him up if the rumor is true. But it seems like an uneeded update. Seeing as he was in that Walmart evolutions set.
I guess they are wanting to do it for the sake of accuracy, like all current Clone releases. Before the VC Oddball, the pilot sculpts had a few innacuracies, so I guess they just wanna put Jag on par with Oddball, especially considering that they're the only two Named pilots in that gear. Also, Oddball's co-pilot in ROTS has Jag's helmet markings, so such a figure also doubles as his crewmate.
And anyways, Hasbro clearly have a thing for pilots considering the number of Rebel, Imperial and now somewhat Republic pilot releases we've had.
Snowtrooper Commander and a new Dagobah Luke not coming out on vintage cards is gonna be like a knife in the gut. TBS should stand for 'total ********'.

I have no big hurry for Dagobah Luke, but I've been after a correct Snowtrooper Commander for 15 years!
I'm not saying that version of Luke shouldn't be made, but they have plenty of time to milk the core characters.
Vizam has been great. But if W4 includes Luke, Yoda, Wedge and Stormtrooper Cmdr then it will be a knockout IMO.
I understand those that are tired of the repeats. However, if they give us Luke, Yoda, Wedge, Snowtrooper Commander, Torynn, and hopefully Piett, it would be a really cool wave and kncok out a lot of my ESB wants with one fell swoop, although I have to admit the Dagobah training Luke from 2004 (?) with the different sets of arms is really cool.
If Dagobah Training Luke is getting updated, I'll still keep my 2004 version for the handstand pose and head with the hair standing up. I'm also really hoping an ultimate Bespin Lando comes at some point next year, and hope that the six guys you mentioned are in this wave, as well.
So anymore rumors about Lobot? I thought he was on the short list.

He was near the top of the parking lot for The Vintage Collection. Since they basically "reset" the parking lot with each new line, we're not sure where he stands. It was rumored that he had already been sculpted, not sure if that was confirmed or not.
I believe that Lobot and Hammerhead were both retooled for the now defunct Vintage Target 3-Packs. If this is true, I'm hoping that Hasbro waits to release them when the Vintage cardbacks return since it's unlikely they would get another release any time soon after that. This Black Series packaging dreck cannot leave the pegs soon enough for me.
With Vintage still going on as exclusives, I could see another set of these being released, at Target or another store. The second set, with a new figure in each, was a decent seller.

Hammerhead would work because they could always put Ponda Baba in there as well and a lot of people missed out on him. A pack with Lobot could do well.

The cantina pack could work with the original characters because we haven't seen Greedo in a while and Ponda was not easy for people in the US to find. However, a Bespin pack with Lobot, the mustached BSG, and the gray Ugnaught might be more interesting for people than one with Han and 3PO with Lobot.

Just because TVC is gone, doesn't mean they still can't release these as target Exclusives. Remember that Exclusives fall outside the lines of normal releases.

I'm fine with TVC being put out as an exclusive wave, but I'd rather those figures like the Emperor, Sim Aloo, etc, just came out on any old card sooner rather waiting for the later (TVC), which might take longer than we think to come back.

What are the chances we will be seeing this wave next week at NYCC? If it is due to hit around February, they'll want to show it before New York Toy Fair and there aren't any major trade shows between the two.
