I checked that Battle Droid several times during the day and I never saw it in stock once.
I shouldn't have said all were in stock as I didn't check the battle droid. But Jana & Wedge were there for sure.

The Walmart I have the highest success rate with in general (be it Black Series, Legends, or Lightning Collection), had ZERO Black Series figures the last two times I've gone :(

Neither of my two stores ever got the display with the black series Luke Jedi or the VC Luke Yavin so I resorted to ordering it from Walmart.com :sneaky:

Seen two posts on Reddit about Mando #94 wave showing up at Walmart again, first time since TFF.
Hopefully it makes another round...
I specifically spotted all except #94 at one of mine, got there too late after they restocked, and someone must have been lucky enough to grab it.

My local store finally put the third piece of the train out, so I was able to grab Luke and Yoda. Thankfully I was the first to hit it, the figures were packed in there so tightly that the boxes behind the first ones were scuffed very badly and I don't plan on opening these.

yeah I happened upon a stash of 8+ Jedi Luke yesterday at a wal-mart I checked on week after week. Just kinda kinda slung into the general vertical Star Wars product area. No shipper, just a pile of Jedi Luke boxes were pretty badly smashed up, no Yodi in sight. but the center isles have been so packed with other christmas shippers. I'm not surprised this one has gotten the worst placement. I'm guessing 2020 is going to be rabbit season on these little guys.

Hey and I just wanna say... Great work on adding this EDIT feature... I was really unpleased with my laxidasical capitalization... and delighted by the opportunity to add pertinent details clarifying my post. Good work everybody!

The Wal-Mart closest to me has a generic Wal-Mart toy endcap on the front of the toy aisle, but all the star wars stuff was piled on the hot wheels aisle-side of the endcap. This one had black series (but no exclusives that I saw) and a restock of Galaxy of Adventure figures. The shipper in the main toy aisle (where the star wars section has been for a year) has all the GoA Jedi Luke, a few TVC, a ton of lightsabers, and Jabbas Skiff.

Argh, did it again, there was a topic already for Luke. Will move my reply.

I guess I may as well say here, that I found the BS Luke & Yoda along with much of the other stuff that's shipped in those displays.

Ago, thanks...did not know that. Looks like the old Trendmasters mold. Wonder what happened to the disintegrator pistol it was supposed to include?
They reused the old packaging text but no pistol actually comes with this release. These fly off the shelves in my area, although I suspect much of it is scalping and not collectors activity.

Okay, at this point, Hasbro doing this kind of crap deliberately, just to be jerks.
I think they’re doing it to correct their box misprint. And they probably figured that Luke would sell, since it’s kind of unprecedented for him to pegwarm in the Black Series.

Maybe if they included the Skywalker Strikes version's accessories he would've sold. As it is, he's pretty bare bones with just the medal and blaster.

I am selfishly excited for the re-pack of the already pegwarming Yavin Skywalkwer figure, since it means the already low going rate (under $10 on Amazon) will plummet further...making it easier for me to buy a couple up for head-swaps. Improved farmboy and stormtrooper Lukes, here I come!

Near the greatest snow on Earth.

Considering the corrected version is already shipping as a running change in Wave 23 (Cara Dune), I'm not convinced Hasbro nor the fans are that masochistic to pile on even more peg-warming, half-price figures. As I've said elsewhere, double-packing Bly made more sense in Wave 24. And, if there really is an overwhelming desire for corrected Lukes, they could have offered solid cases via fan-channel outlets.

I think we can assume they didn't think it was going to be a pegwarmer, but instead would be a very popular figure as the main Luke in stories for the time being.

A couple problems with that assumption: a relatively obscure costume (it's from a famous scene, but is relatively fleeting in the movie...and the fact it's in the comics is only relevant to a sliver of the general population), the lack of a main weapon (gotta have that lightsaber, folks), and perhaps some Luke saturation (the archive X-wing, the Target Stormtrooper, and the WalMart Jedi Luke all came out in the last 12-18 months). I think if they had flipped this and the ROTJ Luke, having 6" Yavin be the WalMart exclusive and having Luke's main look in ROTJ be the double-wave release, they would be better off.

Or I'm wrong, and the toy buying public is just fickle and you can't predict what's gonna happen.

Immediate Edit: two other things I just thought of. First, having this come out at the same time as the "convention exclusive" (but available at online retailers and some brick-and-mortar specialty shops) Skywalker Strikes version cannibalized the collector market. I would have jumped on the regular version if I hadn't just bought the expanded version with the extra knick-knacks. Second, and this may be very minor, but the main image they released for this made the face paint look terrible and over-done. The actual figure generally looks better...but I think people may be seeing this and deciding to pass:

The first wave sold out around me, but then Walmart restocked and aren't moving very much. I've seen the same qtys there for a couple of weeks now.

That only explains why the figure was made, not why they're re-releasing it even after it's proven unpopular.

My memory is that they announced it was going to be in the follow-up wave even before its first wave was released.

That said, the question is why didn't they shift their plans after it wasn't moving. Maybe there's just too much lead time in production, and the ship is just too big to be able to course correct in time. Whatever it is, feels like they are heading for a pretty big blunder and a lot of wasted figures that are going to end up in Ross, Burlington, etc etc in a few months' time.

I never thought I’d see Wedge or Yavin Luke pegwarm. But I’ve seen them at multiple stores.

I missed pretty much the entire wave at one of my stores yesterday. All that was left was one Luke Snowspeeder pilot. No need for that one.

However, I used the SKU posted by Yakface on Brickseek today and came back with these guys! The count showed 4-5 in stock. Automatically knew Mando would be gone. Happy with what was left behind, though!
