Wal-Mart

no, what was tough was the SDCC 2013 or 2014 exclusive multi colored lanterns. each day was a different color & they made 2000 I think or less. at least these were all different figures, not like white clones with different colors..

The Walmart closest to me added a big ’Collectors’ cart that sits in the isle in front of the toy dept….

One side & end is all Hasbro, the other side & end is Mattel. All of that space & not a single Vintage Collection item on (or to be placed on) it. The
associate was unboxing & putting stuff on it & let me see the planogram page.

I’m so confused as to why the Lando’s haven’t been clearanced down to “I’ll get it just to give to Toys for Tots” prices.
My only guess is that the SKUs are kept under bw generic heading so the store manager doesn't want to mark it down.

Everyone talks about their mix of figures or markdown prices and my Walmart loves it's Landos at full price.
Echo Six picked up on my reference ;)
A slight detour into a different geek realm. 😄

I remember seeing they made a blue Lantern Saint Walker figure and being so frustrated that even the mainline ones had essentially become 'ebay exclusives' around me. I didn't even bother tracking him down.

What’s crazy is that was apparently a bigger story than ’the Soviet Union suspected of building missile sites in Cuba’.
Because nothing was a bigger story than that a little over a month later (October).

EDIT - The picture of Sam Walton right above the Soviet Union story & not contained in the Walmart article layout is oddly funny.

It's almost like a March Madness Bracket to see who survives:

WALMART -- KMart
Venture -- TARGET
JCPENNEY -- Sears

Those were the comparisons I always made as a kid. It seems odd to compare Walmart to Target now.

The internet is just the same!

FACEBOOK—MySpace
Excite—YAHOO
GOOGLE—Bing
AMAZON—BookStacksUnlimited

The next WalMart was a used bookstore. The next Star Wars was an educational video game with bad graphics. The next major television broadcast network was a dating site. The 21st century is dumb.

Was at my local Walmart today and they have completed their reset. Needless to say, they now have a peg full of TVC they couldn't sell for $16.97 now priced at $19.97. I did see at least one Crosshair and the new Cobb Vanth. And if anyone is curious, YES. Still two or 3 Lando figures that have now gone through like 4 price changes.

I’m holding out on Lando until he hits $24.97.

I remember saying something similar when the $12.97 Landos got bumped to $16.97. I guess he's aging like fine wine - the price just keeps going up.
I think I posted about this once before, but there was a time when my Walmart had figures on clearance for I think it was $5. I tried to buy the Lando figures, and of course that was one of the SKU's that WASN'T part of the markdown. Even though it was hanging on the pegs, they still wouldn't honor it.

^ Hey now, I've actually seen that! Though the new higher priced stickers were often pasted over the lower price ones. lol

I haven’t seen a Lando on the pegs in many months, but only because virtually every Walmart and Target near me has removed all their pegs and haven’t reset anything. I have one nearby that has about four Fennec Shands and probably ten Deluxe Cobb Vanths, none of which EVER will sell for any reason. They NEVER update their pegs.

Also, none of my Rosses or Ollies ever get any TVC. I’m left in the dark, retail-wise.

Yuck, I was hoping the store near me was an anomaly. It has a solid case of the Jedi Legend Obi-Wan and Super Commandos, and about 3 solid cases of the Teth Clone. They fill the aisle pegs and are out on the collector display as well.

Solid case packouts are death at retail. Even moreso now that the shelf price is $20. Retail should only get assortment cases, at least those stand a chance.

I am also flummoxed by the fact that no stores near me did a fall reset. The stores with only TVC are still carrying it and getting in some new stock at $20 a figure now, and the stores with Epic Heroes are still only carrying those, with no new figures or pieces seemingly incoming.

Everything’s fine, though—right boys? I never see jack crap anywhere. Literally anything anywhere. I think I’m just in a bad area for it. All my Walmarts have purged TVC. They have one peg of mixed Epic Heroes, like a mix of Gideons and Sabines, maybe. That’s it.

Speaking as someone who used to see nothing, or stragglers of Lando or X Wing Luke and Klatoonian Raider I'm confident it will swing your way again

I’ll keep checking. I’d LOVE to see a TVC figure for $4.99. I might even buy Lando at this point.

I saw two pegs full of the 501 Commando, and a peg full of Jedi Legend Obi Wan. Its interesting that thats what others are reporting too. Most of my walmarts are generally a random potpourri for TVC.

I haven’t seen any of these single cases of figures, but just the other week one Walmart nearby got a case of the Imperial Commando. Lando likes getting new friends.
