I thought I'd start up a separate thread - If the new Vintage Collection (2018) is the last Vintage carded line ever what figures are a "must have" for this line from all the movies? So that we can finally have closure to this line and be satisfied when it's all done and over?

Oooh, since vintage style packaging really screams nostalgia to me I don't feel right nominating anything but OT figures. Of course, we'll see loads of PT, ST and R1 figures on these cards anyway, but I'd be just as fine getting those in regular packaging. Here are my OT wants:

-Lobot (if the rumours of a new figure are true)

Hoping for a return of the Vintage Collection vehicles. Someone did a mockup of what the TESB Star Destroyer would look like with TVC packaging, a few years ago. Loved it, and I'd gladly pay for that. I know they're afraid of playsets, but you could call it a big vehicle! And I know they not going to do a mini-rig or anything from the Droids or Holiday Special cartoons, but an INT-4 would be cool beyond words.

As for figures, I was always mad that we never got a TVC Count Dooku, Nute Gunray, Death Star Droid, 8D8, Skiff Guard Klaatu, AT-AT Driver, AT-ST Driver or a General Veers (I'd be happy with the AT-AT Commander figure but with the old Imperial Commander card art!), so those are on my wish list for older stuff.

As for the two new films, of course, Phasma, Hux, Kylo Ren, Snoke, Krennic, Death Trooper, Flame Trooper, First Order Snowtrooper, First Order TIE Pilot, Beach Trooper, and a new Tarkin (without the "lady skirt" please). And I'm sure TLJ will have a new cast of great villains.

The last one was in 2001? Hasbro could even kitbash this figure quite easily using a repaint of the Black Series Hoth Leia, with new legs and the Bespin Gown Leia head.

My signature says it all, make as many Jabba goons as possible before this ride is over. Obviously the originals should be done first, then move onward. Since I believed it was over, any of them here on out is gravy.

For closure I guess finishing the rest of the vintage figures for those fans. Although I really don't want to pay for a single jawa.

When it comes to the other films, and new figures, there's a few. A new TPM Amidala throne room dress would be ideal, Senator Palpatine would be nice, they have the head. ATOC Dooku, why not. ROTS Padme's empire speech dress. Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru deserve some love. Finish off Leia's looks with Bespin escape and the unreleased ewok dress. Mon Mothma, RO, ROTJ, pick one. TFA Han in normal jacket, General Organa

I can't think of much that hasn't already been pitched that's truly essential, but I would like to see an SA Cpt. Antilles or Gen. Dodonna - R1 offers a nice excuse for those - and Colonel Yularen's cameo on Rebels gives him a boost, too, in my opinion. Both the TCW and OT versions are highly expensive figures, and the film version's never been single-carded, not to mention he's more striking than most Imperial officers, plus possibility of reusing parts. R1 also boosts Red Leader.

Bail Organa is a PT character who I think has earned a Vintage cardback. I'm also very fond of Count Dooku, and would re-buy a version I already have on a Vintage card, although I would hope for the Geonosis Arena version I don't have, or a new/kitbashed sculpt. I think a ROTS Tarkin would be a perfect opportunity to create something totally new, but also an excuse to alter the sculpt (skirt and color?) for the possibility of a new R1/ANH version down the line.

TFA/R1? Well, a lot of characters from those movies deserve the SA treatment, but nobody's sticking out to me as especially necessary but unlikely. I'm not super fond of the Gen. Hux character, but a removable hat and jacket would be pretty ******.

Also as a general note, a ton of 6" sculpts could use downsizing. I'm very jealous of the realistic Rebels sculpts - I would go nuts for that Hera, and while the SA Thrawn from 2008 is a favorite figure of mine, I think we could use a fresh crack at him, with the yellow epaulettes and a blue-er skin tone.

My intention in this post was to avoid what's been said, but scrolling up, it looks like I've been beaten to many of these as it is.

I suppose the point here is must-haves though, not stuff in general we'd like to see, and the true must-haves for me would be a better Hux, Dooku, Antilles, Dodonna, Yularen, and while I love the aliens from the background, none of the unused ones feel individually necessary to me, save maybe a new Hammerhead. I love the aliens, but nobody sticks out as better than the rest of the lot, so to speak.

Personally, I have no interest in resculpts for the most part - the real must for me is new characters. Sim Aloo is the example I tend to use, he's a Kenner figure, that Hasbro seemingly neglected to put in any of their modern lines.

If Hasbro already released a character with limited articulation, but with a good sculpt, I don't want a new version instead of a new character.

VOTC Han, Luke and Leia are well over a decade old and look it. If you're relaunching TVC, core characters are a 'must have' 'so that we can finally have closure to this line and be satisfied when it's all done and over'. If the line ended without Sim Aloo that's not the end of the world but it's criminal if it ended without Farmboy Luke.

Not that anything we're saying here carries any weight with anyone who matters.

I'll take a lot of flack for this but I see cantina patrons and Jabba's henchmen as a waste of slots that would be better filled by rebels and imperials. It's Star WARS not Star HENCHMEN. Therefore my own preferences are faction heavy.

I know it's anyone's guess but how likely are we to get some new or remade vehicles? I don't have a Falcon and although not too good have been looking at the Nerf one as price has come down. I will hold off if there should be something at least up to par with POTF falcon. I would also like to see more troopers from both sides with different head sculps and some new x wings and tie fighters.

Trying to come up with something off the top of my head that hasn't been mentioned yet. I'd love to see anything from Maz's castle - especially Grummgar and his FO informant lady friend (two pack anyone?). Korr Sella also comes to mind, along with the furry guy next to her (don't know the species name) in the scene where the FO obliterates Hosnian Prime.

I'd love a multipack of all of the Knights of Ren from Rey's forceback vision. I could see EE having this as an exclusive set or something like that.

I'd also like to see realistic versions of the Rebels crew.

I'd also say scene specific waves. In my opinion, there is no better way to get people to buy something they might not otherwise. A parent looking at pegs might buy a Farmboy Luke... but they might also buy a couple Cantina Aliens if they are told these figures go together. Just sayin'

Gotta be realistic then. Hasbro confirmed any cartoon character chosen for the poll would be sculpted as realistic. I guess any regular release would have to be too.

I hope that all previous versions are omitted. I hate remembering 2012/2013/2014 when TVC ObiWan and QuiGon sat on the pegs unmoving for years. My Walmart got so used to it that there was a peg that instead of saying "TVC" it just said Qui Gon.

I'm glad to see TVC returning, but I know Hasbro and despite every 'new' change of direction that we've seen since 2011, it still is always the same. Peg Warmers that keep fresh stock from reaching us. $20 SA TVC figures will be slow to move and will be lightly stocked. I fully expect very high levels of frustration with this line after wave 2 appears. I'd love to find that SA Rebels figures are to be included with the TVC line. But then I remember how Rebels is treated now. Few figures at all. Dumb ones like one episode Leia are chosen. The ones that are good are hard to find. Ugh.

You mention a perfect example of an ANH alien, Tzzivvt, that has been on wishlists for many years - I would prefer this character over ANY resculpted ANH alien. After collecting for so many years, I need new characters to remain interested in making SA 3.75 purchases.

Every single character from Jabba's Palace, Except for the ones like Slave Leia, Lando, Luke, Han, Boba, Jabba etc.... Excluding Bib Fortuna if you were to count him or at least the ones we've never gotten, though i would like an updated Yak Face and vintage sy snootles as well as alien we've gotten before. If I had to choose one I would choose either Shasa Tiel (Palace Ishi Tib, she loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong overdue) or Cane Adiss, I'm still debating on which one to choose for the Vintage Collection vote. Oh and I wouldn't mind a Episode 3 Nute Gunray, I expected that to come out in the Revenge Of The Sith line.

Like many of you there's tons of figures I'd like to see, but as a newly reinvigorated collector (I took a few years off) I'd like to see the main characters and major supporting characters of the new films done in this style before I see too many new sculpts of characters that have been done many times over.

I'd also like to see some canon non-film characters as well. The main Rebels cast and some major supporting characters from The Clone Wars would be nice. A canon-style Thrawn to compliment the 6" version they're making would be very welcome for me. Maybe a few of the standouts from the Marvel comics like Aphra, Triple Zero and Beetee.

Classic figure, but I'd love an Endor Poncho Luke. I know there's a good one in TLC but the base is already there with the Lightsaber Construction Luke and it'll look so good on a vintage cardback. That and Sergeant Melshi from Rogue One deserves some love!

Don't expect to have more than a handful of figures each year. The days of 30+ figures per years like in the first Vintage Collection are long gone and Hasbro has different strategies now.

I have a way too long list of figures I'd like to see, but the thing I would really like -though I doubt they will release any vehicle in this new line- is Vader's Advanced Tie Fighter to go along with the previous VC Tie and Tie Interceptor.
