Well BWW is very hard to agree on...Most of the guys that meet usually live on the West/Northwest...only 3 guys live in henderson/east side...So last met at BWW on Flamingo/Hualiapi...Metro Pizza is more central to everyone...

Re: local toy sale December 6-7

I've had a couple PMs asking what specific items are going up for sale with prices, and I'm giving a quick and dirty list that is by no means all-inclusive.

Star Wars (vintage): AT-AT (complete), Death Star (complete with box), Y-Wing (complete), B-Wing (complete), snow speeder (complete), cantina (non-exclusive, missing 1 door), approximately 40 loose figures, including '85 POTF and Ewoks cartoon figures, a Tatooine Skiff (incomplete), and Imperial Shuttle, and more.

Newer: POTF2 Snowspeeder, Target Shuttle (boxed), Betrayal on Felucia set, Royal Naboo Starship (boxed), Target exclusive ARC 1170 fighter (boxed), Target exclusive TIE bomber (boxed), most of the TAC figures still on card, series 1 and 2 Clone Wars carded animated figures from a couple years ago, SDCC exclusive Shadow Scout trooper and holographic Leia, carded Saga figures galore, varied loose newer figures, and more.

GI Joe:
Defiant, Flagg, Terrordrome (with box), Night Raven (with box), Sky Raven, Night Striker, Skystriker (with box), 2004 MCC (with box), Tomahawks (one with box), Ghost Strikers (one with box), Transportable Tactical Battle Platform (with box), Mission Brazil figures, Slaughters Marauders figures and vehicle, Tiger Force figures (including Eurpoean Psyche-Out) and vehicles, Straight-arm figures, Python patrol figures, SMS system with box, Funskool vehicles, train set, US-1 Trucking set, and more!

Masters of The Universe:
Castle Greyskull (original, with box), con exclusives, 2005 Teela, many vintage parts

Marvel legends - many

and that's scratching the surface. I'll be putting the actual list with prices together all this week.

Thanks for checking!

Re: Meet

I really don't care if we go to Metro, BWW, Hooters, Chilies...hell, i'll even go to Applebees just so I can get thrown out
. I do think ECHO may have an issue though, if we get the same waitress as last time. So, i'll i'll just follow the crowd.

SS Indy

I was eagerly waiting for the SS 12" Indy and it arrived yesterday. What an amazing figure, in both likeness and detail. My only complaint is the joints seem kinda loose and I hope they don't come loose (like one of the 12" Anakins). Someone over at the Cool Toy News forum posted some great pictures of him posed.

In looking at the upcoming Diamond Select 12" line, I wonder why they're even bothering with such a thing since SS can't be beat right now. The Diamond figures simply don't come close in quality of build or detail either.

I got mine yesterday as well...and your right max great figure...Yes, the joints are some what loose, however, I can live with that..But I have a real problem with Indy's neck...But the awesomeness of the figure out weights Indys faults...

Cant wait for the PF Indy...

Wedge Collector\'s Engine

Anyone using this to track their collections? I decided I wanted to cataloge everything and this seems great, except when I tried to save anything, it did not register in my collection, then ten minutes later popped up. Is it always this slow and cumbersome? Any other databasing/cataloging for the collection?

Wave 4

If anyone is in need of wave 4 figures, go the Walmart next to the Fiesta casino. Take Rancho north to I95 keep going north about 2 miles and make a right at the Fiesta casino. The Walmart is just east of it. They must have had at least 5 of each figure.

They also had some new Titaniums...Alaya Secura's fighter, tie defender, B-wing with red markings, Shadow republic gunship, and magnaguard fighter.

Nope but I can PM you what I have ready.:) I realized as I was setting up just how much of a sheer volume of crapola I actually own.

So to the above list, add Super Powers, StarCOM, Battlestar Galactica (old and new), Justice League, and ...

There's a lotta stuff here. Thanks to KayBee on Serene going out of business, it's at least somewhat organized.

Hope to see some of you guys here!
Thanks,
Pat

Not sure if any of you still collect hasbro...Well if you order through hasbrotoyshop, type in holiday25 (at checkout) and get 25% off order and if you spend more than $50, you get free shipping..

Not bad.

Re: local toy sale December 6-7 -ONGOING

Thanks to the guys who did make it over here this weekend - it really helped! It was good to meet you guys too.
My wife is planning to run another sale next weekend to get rid of the rest of the garage sale stuff, but honestly, I'm not going anywhere during the week so if anyone has the desire to shoop durning the week, I'm usually here all day. I may also be running the sale myself on Friday since that seems to be a high traffic day.
I'll post a couple pics of the "store" later so you get a better idea of the amount of stuff I'm selling. Still all kinds of vintage and new stuff here!

Woulda loved to have met up with you guys yesterday - we ended up shutting down the sale right about 2 PM yesterday because we just weren't getting the volume.

I know a couple people have already dropped me a line about coming back or stuff leftover, so I'll respond to those inquiries and provide pictures as needed.

Thanks again for the help!

orion...

would have loved to have bought alot of items off you, especially that Teerrdrome...But Im in the same boat as you with 'work' and the few things I sold off, was to get my Indy fix this month...

Good luck with the sale...and maybe if I luck out and get some work, I will hope that you still have that Terrdrome available...

Orion, do you happen to have any glass display cases for sale?
Depends on how many of the toys in the display cases get sold

Seriously, tho, I promised my wife the largest curio if those items went, but I also have a Rite-Aid shelf case that right now has the vintage SW vehicles in it.

If everything in both cases sold, I'd consider selling the larger curio too (and I posted pics of that one in the last Vegas thread), but right now it doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

I can't wait to get another job so I can replace this stuff!

EDIT - here's what's in the larger collector's curio - follow the link to the flickr album here.

Re: KB toy stores going out of business

Their over-priced, poor selection, bad distribution, old toys and just a poorly runned toy company..They were on thin ice to begin with and the economy just finished them off...Oh well.

I hope to go and find some decent deals...
