Press Release

Survival in the unforgiving desert of Tatooine requires strict training and discipline for the members of a Tusken tribe. Many grow up to be skilled warriors, powerful in battle. Inspired by the original 1970s Kenner STAR WARS action figures, this STAR WARS: RETRO COLLECTION 3.75-INCH TUSKEN WARRIOR is inspired by the characters’ appearance in STAR WARS: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT live-action series on Disney+. Fans and collectors can display this figure, with multiple points of articulation and Kenner-inspired packaging, in their action figure and vehicle collection. Includes figure and Gaffi Stick accessory.

This is probably my favorite figure of the wave. And it’s a repaint. But what a repaint. The softgoods look fantastic and this is a most welcome update with the darker colors on the body. Probably will pick up two of this guy for my loose collection.

I like the cardback image. It seems like them have moved away from those awful photoshopped "front and centre" and looking into the camera photos. I was hoping to like this one, but I am just not into it. I would have preferred an OT Tusken with fabric.

In for at least a half-dozen of these guys! Looking at the soft goods, I wonder if they're two separate parts, with the top bit coming off? If so (or after a pair of scissors if not), an easy enough way to get a little variety.

It does look like a separate doily around the neck, lol. We might be able to tell if they showed the back of the figure, or had the softgoods removed in one of the frames. Either way, I'm really liking this one, even if it's just a repaint with a new cloak - these are the type of smart repaints that add variety to the line.

I don't know why, but I'm getting a real AOTC vibe from this figure and now want a retro appropriate Anakin to go with him!

Really wish we’d get some news on this guy and the rest of the wave. Seems like we never will.

Love this. Is the soft goods cape one piece? Or it is two? Really love the repaint on this guy. I have two on order that will arrive after Christmas…

Just flipping a lot of the paint apps really makes a whole new figure. The head detail is especially effective. Very, very well done. And wow. Does he ever look like the card back image. :)

One piece, really nicely done. Yeah I much prefer the darker silver they used here. It's interesting how much the different paint scheme makes the face look like a different sculpt, like the eye stalks look closer together than the previous retro Tusken.

It's surprising how simply inverting the colors in most areas turned into such great deco on this figure. This is certainly one of those repaints that really puts an existing sculpt to great use.

My Tusken Warriors came at long last. Wow. What a great repaint. The softgoods are simply amazing in person. Fun, new and clever design — combined with the paint… it’s a whole new figure.

Truth be told, I’m torn about the hands… I mean… sure… it’d be cool if he could better hold the Rifle that came with Boba Fett. But the Gardaffi stick is so old school Sand People, I kinda dig that they left it well enough alone… Also, kudos to Hasbro for doing the stick in a slightly different color…

This feels like a scrapped version of the figure that almost released from the 1978. Like an alternate version with a cloth cape, but they cheaped out and went with vinyl instead.

Nice! I wanna track down a SW tan vinyl cape for my second BOBF Tusken…
