Exactly what I was hoping for.

Now we really need the Pyke soldier(s) to go up against the Raiders.

Say what you want about TBOBF, it's quite toyetic, and I'm glad Hasbro went "in" on it.
I would have applauded Hasbro if they had waited until April 1st, and revealed a Mod 4-pack as a joke, heh.

But yeah, there's a few characters from the show I want figures of. *cough*8D8*cough* Also wish Disney hadn't skipped BoBF when it comes to their Droid Factory sets. There were so many cool astromechs front and center in that show.

This set looks great! Definitely buy for me. I'm so glad to see them move away from the ratty edge oversized robes.

This is one time where I think the price point on this could be justified. I just wonder now if this will preclude us from ever getting the Chieftain on a cardback.

Could go either way I suppose. Will we get Waxer on a cardback? Probably not. But the Chieftain I could see them slotting him in as a repack slot filler.

Hoping they don't. I'm cool with just the Warrior on a card.

I kinda hope he doesn't get a carded release down the road. Mainline slots are so precious these days, that I hate to see them wasted on unnecessary repacks. Dune Sea Fett makes sense, since he's a main character in a specific outfit, and was part of a very pricey, repainted ship. But the chieftain is in a very reasonably priced set, and should be easy for most people to obtain.

The warrior tusken makes more sense as a carded release, since she participated in action scenes and seemed to get more focus than the chieftain, who mostly stood around and stared, heh.

I don't know that three and a half repacks/repaints and a new head/torso/accessories justify a $55 USD price tag, but that's life in 2023!
This set looks superb and I'm delighted to get it; I'm really enjoying this whole doubling-back and returning to BOBF that Hasbro's doing in TVC and the Retro Collection. I casually rewatched the whole series the week before the premiere of the third season of The Mandalorian, and I loved it even more. I actively want the Mods, at least Drash and Skad!

Very happy to see this as a troop builder 4-pack. I had a feeling that Hasbro could re-paint the VC199 Tusken Raider to make Boba Fett's tribe, and my suspicions were right! This will be a great companion release to the Tusken Warrior. And I really hope that the single carded Nomad Boba Fett will be coming soon.

Now we just need THIS!

Well, this is very unexpected and interesting. Might bite on the Tusken woman now.

Nice to be getting a set of Tuskens from BOBF. My main issue is just like the 212th set, I’m less inclined to buy multiples with the Chief included. Still, I’m glad Hasbro is doing the four pack.

I could actually see the Tusken Warrior getting his own separate release since we have the card back from the Retro Collection. I wouldn’t bet on the Chief, though.

I do find it funny that Mando Mania has turned into BOBF Bring Home the Bounty 2.0. It’d be even funnier if we didn’t get a single release announced for the actual Mando Show. Oh well, maybe they’ll do it for Ahsoka Mania or whatever.

I'm here too. The one commander, three troops configuration works against buying multiples.

This is exactly the smart kind of thing Hasbro needs to do more of. Some simple paint changes, soft goods in different colors, and a few new parts, and BAM! 4 brand new figures. I think the price is fine. That works out to $13.99 per figure which is still cheaper than the new $16.99 price.

Also, The Book of Boba Fett is a side story in the overall Mandalorian narrative. So these reveals fit in with the overall Mando theme. I would like to see some more figures from the Mandalorian though. Maybe some of those Mon Calamari that keep popping up. Either the dock workers from season two, or the ones in the "mind-wiping" facility. What can I say? I like the Mon Cala guys!! ;)

It's a real downer when a new figure gets released and just as it gets released, some website comes out with a "these things need to be improved on this figure" article.
Ah, the never ending pursuit of "perfection". Which to be frank will never happen because one's idea of perfection can literally be the total opposite for another, and in those cases I'm glad those ideas aren't listened to. That said I don understand the dilemma of finally getting an all new updated figure that is toured as being the "ultimate version", only to realize it's subpar in your eyes. Case in point that Jedi Luke that Depriest emphasized was one they could reissue till the cows come home. I thought it was horrible in almost ever way and was glad to have a new one in 2011. So I can see that viewpoint. Thing is that was ages ago and the figure sculpt have improved immensely since then meaning we rarely have that situation, but I'll also admit that they're not all improvement free.

As far as the dated figure issue with Din and Boba, I can see how that is something the hard core articulation fanatics would care about more than most. And even I who's not big on some of the joint utilized today feel the hinge hips aged out with Solo figures as they had already been around long time but used sparingly. So in that tiny instance I do agree because I do like the newer hips more, but I also don't need all those figures with them to be updated. They are simply a victim of their timing and we can enjoy them on all the new stuff. If they swap the hips out fine, it will be a nice change but I'm not clamoring for it because I feel older updates are far more important.
Lol in what universe does it makes sense that the Clone is packed x1 and the Andor x2
Well in Hasbro's defense we do now have the 4pks to turn to for army building and at a cheaper price that tracking down multiple singles. The question really is how long can a person wait for it? Even at 1X per case I don't see the Clone being that scarce, I mean they have to know that a brand new phase 2 sculpt is going to be popular. And surely the online shops will offer full cases of just the Clones?

This is one time where I think the price point on this could be justified. I just wonder now if this will preclude us from ever getting the Chieftain on a cardback.
Now that you mention it I have to agree, I was a bit unhappy with such an increase for basically repaints but this Tusken 4-pk is a very nice change from the norm!
I hope that it does mean more "diverse" sets of figures. While I do understand it's still basically the same figure repainted they did at least change out the torso and head on one to create the Chieftain. Then again the costs on that might be less that four unique head sculpt. lol I think where the increase comes from is the extra detailing and different colored SG's. That said part of me is a bit unnerved about having to get three other figures just to get the Chieftain, because I already bought plenty of Tuskens a while back.

This set makes me think they could totally do a Pyke 4-pk, two with helmets and two without then just cover an existing figure with various SG's. It also might mean they could do a proper Rebel Endor Soldier set using the short jacket for one or two, with one being Nik Sant, rather than all four being the same long coat version.

I believe there's potential for Ragnar, Vane, Gorian Shard, and Elia Kane to become substantial by season's end.

Just potential. Not quite there yet.

We haven't gotten to the "Droid Bar' scene from the trailer yet that's virtually action figure nirvana.

I hate to say it, but outside of Ragnar, I don't know who any of those characters are that you mentioned, heh. 😅 I wouldn't hold your breath for Ragnar though, considering Leia from OWK is still MIA.

That droid bar is going to end up being my favorite part of the season, I can already tell. Of course, I'll probably be highly disappointed in the lack of droid figures to represent that scene. I'm sure we can count on Disney to at least give us a few of them, but Hasbro will be giving us zilch, as usual.

Hot for these Tuskens. I’ve got 2 of the “classic” TVC Raiders and a few AOTC Massiffs ready to fill this crew out. I TUS KENT WAIT!

Not "perhaps." I quoted the post. It was said. If you click on the quote, you'll see a few other people agreeing with it. Not "somewhere." Right here.

I never claimed tons of people think this. *I* don't think it. I was referencing something that was said to make a point. Something that's done literally every day here.

As for what is and is not relevant, and what can and cannot be acknowledged, I'll be making those determinations for myself in terms of what I choose to post about.
Meh! That's fair. 🤷‍♂️

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

Now that is exciting. This is unbelievable in this day and age—something that, gasp, surprised us? We actually got something that we didn't expect or know about ahead of time!? And it's a pretty darn cool item(s) at that?!

Bravo, Hasbro!

Also, happy to see the chieftain get made. Honestly, if the rest of the show had retained the quality of the Tusken portions, I think the show would have been received better. I loved the Tusken parts, by far my favorite aspects of the show.

I am excited to hear about the TBOBF Tusken 4-pack. I hope that means that Hasbro won’t rule out releasing more characters from that show. A Dune Sea beast would compliment the upcoming Dune Sea Boba Fett. Maybe release him in a set with the young Rodian character as well.
