Just to repost from the codes and coupons thread, you can preorder the black series from toysrus.com for 7.99 apiece right now. Free shipping if you buy 80 bucks worth of stuff.
No Black Series to be found at any of the TRU stores in my area....
Those would be the Jantzen Beach, Clackamas, and the Raleigh Hills TRU.
Finally saw both lines of the Black Series. They had EVERY figure of the 3 3/4 and a Luke and two R2s of the 6".
But when I looked at their prices............
$11. 49 for the smaller line, and $22.99 for the larger. BYE TRU!!!!!! You can keep all your figures!

Sounds like the same old same old. But they do price match their own website right?
Stopped at the TRU nearest me today.
They had a tag on the shelf for the 6 inch line, none were out, but they were $19.99.
They had three of the 3.75 inch figures on the pegs and they were $9.99.
Looks like this TRU is sticking with the standard price.

Today the Clackamas TRU had about 3 of each from the 3.75" Black Collection. I picked up my 2nd Padme, I wanted a Green Clone and a Biker Scout but the paint apps on those weren't so hot. I saw 2 good looking Lukes and some nicely painted Clone Pilots if anyone needs these get down to the Clack. TRU!
I'm in Queens NY and the nearest TRU doesn't even have a tag on the shelf for the Black Series, I picked up the ones I wanted when I was in PA and they had them listed for the same prices your showing.

Just got back from a local TRU and they had restocked wave 1, half of the wave had scotch tape on them to reattach the bubble to the card. They must have been completely off because a few figures had the wrong card back taped to the the bubble. I'm pretty sure this was done by a worker because the case just showed up today. The rest of the figures didn't have tape but you could see they were starting to come apart.
Yeah, this falling off the card thing has finally hit here.
Saw almost an entire wave in pieces at TRU this morning. Most of the blisters were on the shelf. A few were taped and were still hanging on.

Called up my local toys r us today here in the UK and they received just one box of figures in. Going to go first thing in the morning and get that padme.
I probably wouldn't ask for a discount unless it was actually missing something.
Anyway, I saw the whole wave aside from Padmé and Luke. Only Vader was hanging off the card, the rest seemed firm.

I just got my pre-orders today. I picked up the vader out of the box and the bubble literally fell off the card when i flipped it over to read the back. This is unreal. Glad I'm an opener, but if i ever buy any of these in the stores, I'm going to have to be super vigilant of swaps because this is just crazypants
I had the same experience with my order. The blisters on four of the eight figures were either partially or completely loose and the other four had spots where the glue was visibly loosening. I can't honestly blame the blisters, though. I wouldn't want to be attached to those atrocious cardbacks, either :whistling:.
I stopped by one of the local TRU today and found a lot of stuff there (finally got my 6inch black series luke and passed on the R2) but what caught my eye was the 3 3/4 black series- there was a lot of them and they all looked nice until you got real close for a better look. They are now applying a piece of tape across the top of the bubble to the cardback to try to combat the bad packaging issue. If they do this to them all, maybe the early ones with a decent affixed bubble will be a small bit of a collectible?!? Apparently they hadn't applied this idea to the saga legends stuff because I accidentally knocked a clone down and the packaging broke into pieces.
They have an online B1G1 40% off sale today. First wave of 3.75" and 6" on sale. Bigg's X-Wing too. Only 1 per order, unfortunately.
Okay, so I see they're having a 20-25% off sale. But it says on certain SW figures, namely TBS. That this is a "Hot Price" item, and cannot be combined with other offers. So does that mean you cannot get these less than $9.99, because they are already at such huge discounts?

Well it took me almost all day just to find enough stuff to get free shipping, then I realized once you add the 25% off code you don't get free shipping.
Their discounts are not combinable, so needless to day I removed $40 worth of product to just the essentials.
I went ahead and ordered the Red Snapper set, figured 25% off of that isn't too bad. Especially since I'll have to upgrade the articulation somehow!
But I couldn't buy anything Star Wars related at all! TBS I can get cheaper in my area, so there's no point in buying at TRU w/o the discounts!
Plus they barely have anything! I was going to order a few Clone Sergeants, but for some reason they limit you to only one per order!
I tell you, why is it so difficult to buy anything SW!:wtf:

Nothing new or exciting at my TRU either. Not even the Geonosis Jedi packs.

Just found the Geonosis packs today in NJ. It seems like TRU is keeping up well so far. We'll see how they do with TBS Wave 2.
I am seeing those packs at the two TRUs I regularly visit. And I am keeping my eyes out for wave 2, since they should be showing up between now and Thanksgiving, I'd say. I'm still not spending much on Star Wars toys these days, though. Most of my collecting dollars have been going to build my Walking Dead collection. I'd love to see wave 2 on those pegs soon, as well as the second wave of 6" figures.
The Geonosis Jedi packs have sat now for over a week and a half at my closest TRU (which is frequented by collectors). This pack is just too pricey for me and, apparently, the other collectors in town. Someone will pick this up for holiday gift-giving though...
Collectors are waiting for a BOGO sale at Toys R Us.
They aren't available in Canada until the 1st
Just stopped by again yesterday and...the Jedi packs are all still there. On another note, the Biggs X-wing has, for the time being, sold out at my TRU.
And...they put out 4 MTTs @ 134.99 each. Ugh. :\
