I had this idea the other day because it seems activity on this thread has been light lately (mostly because there hasn't been much new information on the line and the New York Toy Fair for Titaniums was a bust). Anyways I thought that photos could be posted of all the different molds in the Titanium line up to this point with all the different paint schemes. We could discuss them the mold itself and also the paint jobs. I plan on posting a new mold with the different paint shcemes about daily (I may miss a day here and there).

Hopefully this will be a good daily discussion creator while we wait for new information on Titanium releases and news.

I thought I would start out with a nice basic ship with a bunch of repaints up to this point. The Y-Wing seemed like a good fit.

I like this mold. It is one of the originals and has a few features that really add to it like the landing gear and the rotating gun. Interestingly the package on the Gold and the Green editions say the canopy opens but I have never been able to get mine to open. Have any of you been able to open yours?

There have been five releases of the Y-Wing being the following:

Nice post, Darth. I've always been a fan of these, and like the paint jobs they come up with. The red (on left) and gold are the same paint jobs as the Action Fleet Y-Wings. I wish they came out with a blue version though.

I was looking at the green one that was on my desk at work and it looks almost like the cockpit shuold opn, but I couldn't get it to open. Thanks for starting this thread. I'd like to see other variants all posed together. I think the only ones I have all of are the BSG ones and most of them are not opened.

Forgot to mention in my post that I also can't get the cockpits to open on the Y-Wings.

Red Two, Titanium Y-Wings don't have opening cockpits.

Good idea for a thread! I recommend new pics go into the original post.

I know, I was just responding to Darth's question. Sorry for not clarifying

Kinda weird though how the packaging says opening cockpit, but they don't open.

I would like to contribute to this thread, but at the moment about 98% of my Titaniums are still sealed.
I think having comparisons between the different variations is a great idea though!

Today I decided to do the different variations of the AT-TE mold since there have been some questions about the differences especially of the last two releases. There have been three variations, aas far as I know, of this mold. They are:

- AT-TE 2007
- AT-TE 2008 Wave 1 First Day Release (Gold Gun with Red Paint, Clone Wars)
- AT-TE 2008 Wave 6 (Brown Gun with Red Paint, Clone Wars)

The nice features to this mold are the poseable legs and the swiveling turret. The paint schemes are fine but I would have liked a bit more variation in the different releases, there really is no dramatic change from one to the other.

Darth_Morpheus disclaimer: I may not always be correct on what I have posted. Feel free to correct if I am wrong about something or if you have more information. Also, I will try to take the best pictures I can so it easy to see the variations (hopefully there won't be too many blurry pictures). Thanks.

Also I've decided to post each new mold as a new post though I will add the pictures to the original entry of all the ships. This is so it easy to find the new pictures for each day and so that the first post has pictures af all the different molds for easy reference. I hope that will work well for everyone.

Today I'm posting pictures of the Trade Federation AAT. There are four different variations of this mold, three are from the Titanium series and the fourth was the original Galoob release.

- Trade Federation AAT 2008 (Clone Wars, Blue)
- Trade Federation AAT 2007 (Clone Wars)
- Trade Federation AAT 1998 (Galoob Original, Clean Version)
- Trade Federation AAT 2006 (Hasbro Original, Dirty Version)

This as also a great mold. I have always like the original Galoob releases because they have moveable features and are packed with metal, very heavy Titaniums. This mold had an opening hatch and three moving turrets. The orignal Galoob release is the lighter clean version missing the battle damage as Hasbro released it in 2006. The blue version is my favorite and I think it was the best of the First Day repainted releases back when then Clone Wars animated movie was released, though the other darker Clone Wars tank is also a very nice paint scheme.

Here is a comparison photo of the original Galoob clean version and the Titanium battle damaged version.

Nice shots of the AT-TE, I didnt even realize there were 2 versions of the CW release...there are so many minor paint differences that its hard to keep track of all of them.

Here is another ground unit to follow up the AT-TE and the AAT. There have been four releases of the AT-RT (maybe five if you count the two-pack edition which I have read has a different color antenna, gray instead of black?).

Here are the variations:

- AT-RT 2005 (Original)
- AT-RT 2007 (Kashyyyk)
- AT-RT 2008 (Orange)
- AT-RT 2006 (Raw Metal Silver, Five Pack Edition)

No moving features on this one but I do like the Stormtrooper mounted on it. It is a good solid Titanium and one of the first released. I added bases to mine because they are one of the few releases that weren't sold with them. I'm also waiting for the shadow version to be released...

Shadow AT-RT... don't let Hasbro read that, or we'll get one for sure!

The Raw Metal one looks really cool in your pics. Good stuff!

Here is a comparison photo of the TIE Interceptor. There have been three different releases of this ship being:

- TIE Interceptor 2008 (Baron Fel's)
- TIE Interceptor 2006 (Original)
- TIE Interceptor 2007 (Royal Guard)

This is one of the better molds in my opinion. Also all of the paint jobs are pretty strong. If they didn't release the Galactica Basestar because of what Hasbro hinted at of safety concerns with all the pointy edges I'm surprised this one made it to production because it is all metal and it can stand with the points up in the air as you can see in the last photo above (Hasbro also stated that the license was up but then released the Viper Mark II again). Anyway it is a great all around model.

Here is another ground unit for your viewing pleasure. There have been three releases of the AT-ST to date being:

- AT-ST 2006 (Original)
- AT-ST 2008 (Clean)
- AT-ST 2007 (Hoth Blizzard Force)

This is a nice solid mold that is mostly metal and features an opening hatch and rotating cannons. I think it is also a very good representation of the AT-ST and a definite must for any Titanium collection. All of these disappeared quickly from stores in my area.

Here are some photos of possibly the most famous ship from Star Wars the Millennium Falcon. There have been five different versions of this mold most being released in 2006. They include the following:

- Millennium Falcon 2006 (Episode III)
- Millennium Falcon 2006 (Battle Ravaged)
- Millennium Falcon 2005 (Original)
- Millennium Falcon 2006 (Gold Edition, Transformer Edition)
- Millennium Falcon 2006 (Raw Metal Silver, Five Pack Edition)

This group of ships is one of the tougher groups to get together mainly because of the "gold" release that was only avaliable with the Millennium Falcon Transformer set. The model in itself is all metal except for the swiveling turrets and dish. What collection would be complete without this important ship?

Today I decided on a photo comparison of the original Galoob ship and the Titanium release of the Republic Cruiser.

- Republic Cruiser 2006 (Hasbro)
- Republic Cruiser 1998 (Galoob)

The first ship seen in A New Hope this is a great ship. The Galoob version doesn't have the black lines on the ship like the Hasbro version. This ship is almost all metal and has landing gear and engines that "glow" by sliding a button on the bottom of the ship. A very nice ship overall.

Hey thanks aackbar01 you are right about the Republic Cruiser being in The Phantom Menace.

I have had a request to do the starfighters. I'll have to start on that tomorrow after I take a few pictures. For today here are some comparisons of the three different AT-ATs that have been released.

- AT-AT Walker 2007 (Shadow)
- AT-AT Walker 2006 (Endor)
- AT-AT Walker 2006 (Hoth)

Another good solid model with some moving parts. The legs are all poseable and the head does move a bit on this one. The detail on the Endor paint scheme with the battle damage and the green/brown vegetation/mud covered legs is my favorite. This is another must have for any Titanium collection.

Here are some comparisons of the ship which maybe has been repainted the most, the Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter. It has been released with different paint schemes 11 times. These include:

- Anakin's Jedi Starfighter 2005 (Coruscant, Yellow, Dark Cockpit, Five Pack Edition)
- Anakin's Jedi Starfighter 2005 (Coruscant, Yellow, Clear Cockpit)
- Darth Vader's Sith Starfighter 2006
- Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter 2007 (Coruscant, Red, Battle Damaged)
- Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter 2005 (Coruscant, Red, Five Pack Edition)
- Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter 2006 (Dark Purple)
- Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter 2008 (Light Purple)
- Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter 2006 (Utapau, Blue)
- Jedi Starfighter Hot Rod 2008
- Anakin's Jedi Starfighter 2005 (Mustafar, Green)
- Aayla Secura's Jedi Starfighter 2008

This ship has been repainted many times for good reason. The ship is is just a great model and is very important in the films. It has a number of moving parts which include an opening cockpit, retractable landing gear, and opening wings.

Three of the ships have been repainted twice and include Obi Wan's red starfighter, Mace Windu's purple starfighter of which one is lighter than the other, and Anakin's yellow with one with a clear cockpit the other has a dark cockpit.

Obi Wan's red:

Mace Windu's purple:

Anakin's yellow:

Here is the comparison with the new release with the Hyperspace Ring which is one awesome ship!. It may be my favorite. I would love to see a ton of repaints of this one but we'll be lucky to get one more of these:

Here is another starfighter that is a fairly recent release. Only two versions up to this point which are:

- Anakin's Jedi Starfighter 2008 (Clone Wars)
- Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter 2009 (Clone Wars)

No landing gear on this one but it does have an opening cockpit. For some reason these two really look good displayed together. The design is great and I think both paint shcemes are done nicely.

Below is a comparison of the first release with the hyperspace ring and the newer version release.

Today is another starfighter, the Jedi Starfighter with Hypersoace RIng. There have been five releases of this model. They are:

- Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2007
- Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2008
- Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2008
- Kit Fisto's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2007
- Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2006

This is the first starfighter to be released with a hyperspace ring. It also features an opening cockpit and sold very well in its first few releases making it somewhat difficult to find. The ship itself is metal but the ring is all plastic, a large contrast the recently released Anakin's Jedi Starfighter with the 6 engine hyperspace ring that does have metal.

Here is a comparison with the newly released Jedi Starfighter.

Actually the one that was released with the IG-2000 and BARC Speeder is different. The paint scheme is like the one from the clone wars restart but it has a black cockpit instead of blue.

Thanks Tiger, I noticed that also. I plan on buying that one when I find it in the store, hopefully this weekend. I bought my IG-2000 and Barc Speeder (those two and the starfighter are from the same wave) from Hasbrotoyshop.com and for some strange reason that starfighter was not listed there. I'll get it as soon as I find it and update the post.

Here is another comparison of an original Galoob model the Trade Federation Battleship. These two have been released:

- Trade Federation Battleship 2007 (Hasbro)
- Trade Federation Battleship 1998 (Galoob)

This is one of my favorite releases, it looks very nice displayed. It has a number of moving parts and it is a very solid ship, thanks to Galoob who originally designed it (that is how they made all of thiers). It has retractable landing gear and a small Republic Cruiser that docks in the Battleship. Definitely one of the heaviest Titanium. Also both paint schemes are very nice. This one is still available at Hasbrotoyshop.com

I saw the black canopy variant on the shelves a couple months back so I think it was actually a variant and not a repaint.

I found one of the new Jedi Starfighters this weekend and took some pictures. Here are the new comparison photos:

- Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2006
- Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2007
- Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2008
- Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2009 (black canopy)
- Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2008 (blue canopy)
- Kit Fisto's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperspace Ring 2007

Here are a few photos of the green starfighters:

To me it looks like the newer released black canopy version has a darker grey finish than the the blue canopy First Day release. The two rings are exactly the same. Over all there is not much difference though just the canopy is black instead of blue.

I also have updated the photos in the first entry of this thread to reflect the six starfighter variants.

This comparison photo definitely is just a minor variation of the Jabba's Desert Star Skiff. Here the two versions:

- Jabba's Desert Skiff 2008 Wave 3 Legacy - The Clone Wars (battle damage)
- Jabba's Desert Skiff 2008 Wave 1

The difference between the two is not as noticeable as a lot of the other repaints. Really the only variation is the second release has some black "battle damage" spots. I never would have noticed the change but it was mentioned on a post somewhere. It does have a couple of features which include a retractable plank and also retractable landing gear.

What I don't understand is why Hasbro released this one again after it had a hard time selling on the first go around. This is the oldest ship you can still find in the stores in my area and many times there are three or four still there with some being from the original release. It seems to me they could have released about any other ship than this one in Legacy Wave 3 and sales would have been better. I'm glad they released this one once, it a good ship to have in the collection, but releasing it again may be one of the reasons the line is going on "hiatus".

Here is a comparison of a ship that hasn't been released for a few years, the Swamp Speeder. There have been three versions of this vehicle which are the following:

- Swamp Speeder 2005 (Original, Red)
- Swamp Speeder 2006 (Dirty Deco)
- Swamp Speeder 2005 (Green, Five Pack Edition)

This is great vehicle and has been done nicely in Titanium form. The clone troopers are superb and the detailing is great on this mold. My favorite of the three is the "muddy" swamp speeder. Definitely the best of the three.

OK todays variant comparison isn't much of a variation but I thought I would throw it out there anyway. Many of you may even say its not a variation, let me know what you think. The reason I even found this was because someone on this forum mentioned the "dirty" Cloud Car in post. I compared the original release of Star Wars Legacy wave 2 with the release in Star Wars Legacy wave 6 and it does look like there is a slight difference.

- Cloud Car 2008 Legacy wave 2
- Cloud Car 2009 Legacy wave 6 (dirty version)

This a nice addition I'm glad they made to the Titanium series. The model itself is great. Very solid and almost completely metal. A nice touch was adding the two figures in the cockpits. They easily could have left those out but including them makes this a great ship. If you haven't noticed the slight difference between the two it is the exhaust streak in the sides of the ship. On the first version the streak is lighter and less pronounced but on the second it is darker and longer and is therefore the "dirty" version. Again let me know what you think if this is a variation or not.

Personally, I don't consider that a variation. For me, a variation has a distinct, different or additional paint application that distinguishes it from the original. I feel that you ought to be able to identify a variant in the package, and without being able to compare it to the original.

The perfect example would be Jabba's Skiff. The dirty variant has distinct additional 'blaster' marks, and when I saw it in the store by itself, I instantly knew it was a variation. When it comes to these Cloud Cars, it seems you'd have to compare them side by side to see which is which, and that means it's not a variant in my book.

Just my .02!

I gotta say I agree. If you wanted to count it as a variant it would fit into a packaging variant only category and not a redeco.

There is one example of Luke's Snowspeeder, though. The earlier release was less "dirty" and a later paint job the thing was practically black. Even though they are the same packaging the paint apps are noticeable 'through the bubble'.

another .02 for the bucket.

aackbar1 great point about Luke's Snowspeeder. I just took pictures of those ships recently. There have been four releases of the Snowspeeder but like aackbar1 mentioned there are five variants, they are:

- Snowspeeder 2007 (Luke's, dark dirty)
- Snowspeeder 2007 (Luke's, light dirty)
- Sandspeeder 2008
- Snowspeeder 2006 (Vintage Colors)
- Snowspeeder 2005 (Original)

This is a great model also with quite a few moving parts. It has an opening canopy, retractable landing gear, and two airbrakes that open and close. The ship is very sturdy. The only slight drawback is some of the airbrake flaps come off easily but that is a small price to pay for such a great ship.

Below is a photo a two Luke's Snowspeeders that are the same release but the paint job is very different. I already had the light Luke's Snowspeeder whne I saw the dark Luke's Snowspeeder in the store. It was a very noticeable difference that I immediately decided to buy it. When I got it home and compared the two it was very apparent how different the two are.

Darth, thanks again for doing these comparisons. It's because of your photos I now have a visual (and easier) guide to go by for collecting these.

Here is another group of fighters, the V-Wing. There have been three different releases up to this point and they are:

- V-Wing Starfighter 2007 (Republic, Original)
- V-Wing Starfighter 2007 (Imperial)
- V-Wing Starfighter 2009 (Republic, Clean)

Another nice model with this one. It features an opening canopy and poseable wings. My favorite of the three is the newest release, the clean Republic version, though the Imperial isn't bad either.

Today's comparison is of a ship that has been repainted more than just about any, the Republic Gunship. There have been seven different versions of this one being the following:

- Republic Gunship 2008 (Shadow)
- Republic Gunship 2008 (Lucky Lekku Nose Art)
- Republic Gunship 2005 (Green, Five Pack Edition)
- Republic Gunship 2006 (Black, Command Gunship Colors)
- Republic Gunship 2008 (Clone Wars, Red & Grey)
- Republic Gunship 2005 (Original, Red)
- Republic Gunship 2006 (Clone Wars, Shark)

One of the orginal Hasbro models that were released in 2005, the Republic Gunship has been repainted a bunch of times. My favorites of the group are the Clone Wars Shark, Shadow Gunship, and the Lucky Lekku Nose Art version. The Lucky Lekku version is the top on the list for me. When Wave 3 of the Legacy Collection was released I thought the Shadow version looked the best but after opening both of them the Lucky Lekku version really started to grow on me. And now with all of them displayed together it is the one that stands out.

Below is the Shadow version with a custom version I picked up on ebay for a few bucks. I wasn't sure how nice this one would be when I bought but when I pulled it out of the package it really surprised me. Someone did a very nice job on it and I think they painted it before the Shadow version came out. It ended up being quite similar to the Shadow version.

I gotta say I agree. The Lucky Lekku stands out by far and is definitely the best deco.

The gunship has been growing as one of my favorite ships. I think it's because I had a fascination with MiG craft when I was younger. The gunship is based on the MiG helicopter. Before I learned that I thought the Gunship was based on those little black paper clips with the silver wing things. Spread the handles just right and viola! Gunship!
