This documentary is UTTER INSANITY! It's on Netflix. It's completely fascinating, shocking, and BONKERS. Just when you think this can't get any more nuts, it does, every time. It keeps bumping up and up and up in sheer madness. Sex, drugs, violence, politics, backstabbing, trials, lawsuits, cults, feuding, on and on it KEEPS doing. All a true story, I don't want to spoil too much...but you guys have to see these....these characters. It's like they're not even real, but the final message of the Doc is a very powerful one for me as an animal lover. I highly recommend.

I am hooked. Only 2 episodes to go.
Oh dude you're in for a TREAT! It gets EVEN WILDER. Every episode seems to escalate EVEN MORE. It doesn't even seem possible, but just waaaait. I found myself saying "Are you F-ING KIDDING ME?" like MULTIPLE TIMES every episode.

it's beyond befell.
See I thought Carole was CLEARLY the reasonable one, But she CLEARLY IMO murdered her husband. SO now I'm like WTF?
EVEN THE MOST REASONABLE is LIKELY a murderer. I goes all out....

But he and others made drug addicts sex slaves for tigers. Ran drug rings for Tigers. They run sex cults for them, run highly illegal drugs through them, are willing to kill toms of people for them, then showboat them.

SO what I realized is simple. Firstly, EVERY single person this obsessed is insane or in the mob. They will kill you. So do not talk to them. Do not associate. They are all the scum of the Earth.

If you want to protect real Tigers and the endangered species, contact the real Govt, official organizations.

I'm shocked more haven't replied.

See I believe, in the beginning, Joe Exotic meant well. I mean the end of the documentary, you look at those old interviews with him, and he seems totally normal and sane and caring.

I believe once Carole threatened to end him, that's when the drugs began and he lost his mind. In a way, it's kind of a sad story.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I just saw the trailer. I'm definitely going to try to check this out soon. It looks twisted & sick, but at the same time compelling.

Years ago I followed Big Cat Rescue on Facebook. Two episodes in and I learn she may have killed her husband. But that somehow seems normal in this mess of craziness.

RIGHT! She SEEMED the most reasonable....AT FIRST! But then it's revealed. I mean do the math. Multimillionaire DISAPPEARS....and wife gets all the money....and OWNS TIGERS. I mean, even without all the other insane incriminating details, it's not rocket science. I'm convinced she killed him. Now I'm not condoning how Joe behaved ABOUT it, but I do think he's at least right that she DID do it. Now today, literally, Carole came out and made a statements talking about how the show sensationalized everything and portrayed her in a bad light. But here's my logic: Of course it sensationalized some things. That's what documentaries do. But you CAN'T sensationalize facts. Facts are facts and those facts sure seem EXTREMELY shady. See my theory is: The show has now become a phenomenon. I mean it just happened to come out at the RIGHT time. We're all home, bored, and watching anything and everything. Now that it's become so big...she's in panic mode and trying to cover her butt. Because now, the spotlight's on her. People will be investigating more again. And she's SCARED. It's like that lawyer said, someone will stub their toe on something.

I mean legit, all these people are CRAZY! The whole lot. What is it about tigers that apparently produces drugs, sex, manipulation, and murder? I mean I wanna see someone who owns a tiger sanctuary and they're COMPLETELY NORMAL. I mean like said, just when I think it can't get any crazier....it does. I'm of the opinion they're all going to go to jail eventually.

I mean back before I really grew up and matured, I had a few feuds myself. But I realize now, not really. It was more for fun, we didn't mean any harm. But this? This is the worst feud I've ever seen. It's hideously ugly.

Watched two more episodes tonight. Finished with the one where that guy from Vegas gets involved with Joe Exotic.

What is really bothering me is while these people feud with each other and behave selfishly, the animals suffer. It's disgusting. Like when Joe takes those tiger cubs away from their mom, and then is complaining about the noise they make. Or the alligators that died in the fire that Joe started. Or the Vegas guy taking tiger cubs into clubs in suitcases to get women to come to his room. It's all quite upsetting to me. I hope in the final episodes one of these knobs get ripped apart by one of their animals.

Exactly.

See I do believe, when you look at the really old interviews with him, Joe was well intended at first. I mean he seems normal, intelligent even. I think, personally, once Carole threatened to take his animals....he fell into a deep depression. I've done it myself in a way, certainly not like him, but in a way. But then the drugs started. He just lost his mind. But I do think he meant well originally.

Now I am starting something. Me! Personally! I want Jeff Lowe in jail. No one on my watch is going to SHOVE BABY TIGER INTO LUGGAGE to get laid. What a scumbag! The way he treats animals, the way he treats women, the way he treats people. He OBVIOUSLY has mob ties, only reason he's not in jail. But he will get there. And I will help make it happen.

So my theory is: I think Jeff Lowe got Joe super high and drunk and enticed him to say he'd LITERALLY kill Carole. See there's all that footage of him saying he wanted to, but I don't think he was ever REALLY serious. He just has a big mouth and when he gets angry....tends to say stupid things. Due to all the drugs and such, he just up and lost his mind. Which is actually kind of tragic, because he WAS a good guy. So Jeff saw his opportunity, get Joe on one of his drug-educed rants and film it, used that to his advantage to steal the zoo. Dude is a straight-up conman. Because here's the thing: Why would Allen and Joe work together? They hated each other. And $5000 for a hitman? PLEASE! That's the CHEAPEST hitman ever. Who's willing to potentially THROW THEIR LIFE AWAY if caught for a mere $5000? Which he didn't even GET! He got $3000! What a JOKE! Plus Allen never even WENT to Florida if I remember right. Jeff likely just said to make it SEEM as if he were going to Florida. Joe was totally set-up, big time. Now I'm not condoning Joe's rants, but I DO think they were just rants. He's just, well, kind of dumb at times. Truth is, for as many death threats he made, he should have gone to jail a long time ago because, mean it or not, you can't do that. It's called terroristic threats and it's a felony. Dude is LITERALLY shooting blow-up dolls with her name on it. But I think it would have been very temporary and if the law enforcement had done their job the first time, he'd likely have spent a brief stint in jail, never met Jeff Lowe, and learned his lesson rather than all this happening.

Just finished watching the excellent Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness Netflix documentary. WOW!!! This was one of the best docs. I've ever seen, and I've seen many. I knew nothing about any of these people and/or about "private zoos" that feature tigers/ligers/etc. prior to seeing this. Here are some initial thoughts - I may post more later:

-JE & DA are both scum-bags that exploit animals for profit, take sexual advantage of naive young people, and are human pieces of $%#@.

-However, IMHO the biggest villain of this piece is CB. She makes herself out to be pure as the driven snow, but she's the biggest scum-bag of all. She's a lying, gold-digging, hypocritical murderess. It's very obvious that she killed her 2nd husband (that she only married for his money). The scene when she was trying to explain his disappearance by saying that he flew away on his own without a pilot's license (which would supposedly explain why there wouldn't be any record of his flight path(s), etc.) was laughable. Obviously she was trying to cover her @$$.

She had motive & opportunity to eliminate him, being that:

1)He wanted a divorce from her - she knew it - and also knew that she would lose everything if he divorced her;
2) Conversely, if he instead disappeared before he divorced her, she would inherit all of this wealth if they never found him;
3) She had easy access to several things that could have eliminated him without much of a trace.

Note that women suspected of murder seem to typically get a pass from most people. Conversely, if CB were a man who was suspected of killing his wife under similar circumstances - he would be in jail right now...even without evidence.

-Another huge issue I have with CB's so-called "animal sanctuary" is that she's making as much money (if not more $) off of these animals as the "private zoos" run by people like JE & DA. So, I see 0 difference between her & the people she's claiming are exploiting the animals - which is EXACTLY what she's doing as well.

Obviously no one in the doc. gave a crap about the animals themselves - just how much $ they could make off of them. Disgusting, but not surprising.

-If there were any justice in this world, all of the principals in this documentary would be fed to their own animals - this would be very fitting.

-I do hope that this doc. results in the authorities taking a much harder & more thorough look at the "disappearance" (ha ha) of CB's first husband. Unfortunately I don't think they're going to find anything at this point....but I hope I'm wrong.

Going along with the above, CB's pathetic, p$#%$-whipped 3rd husband better watch his back if he's got any money she could inherit if he died suddenly ;)

-I also hope that this doc. results in all of these private zoos and so called "animal sanctuaries" being shut down completely. But, I know that's wishful thinking.

The wife and I finally started this (we're five episodes in), and I constantly find myself engaged in an internal struggle while watching. It's equal parts fixation (train wreck - I can't look away) and shame (I can't believe I'm watching this ****).

I heard there may be one last episode in the works. I guess some kind of follow up? Not sure. It's just what I heard on morning radio.

Also, it is known that the road where Carole was picked up way back when by her missing husband is an area for prostitution.

Not at all surprising - I suspected as much. This goes a long way to emphasizing what we already knew: That CB is dishonest & will twist/misrepresent the facts to make herself look good - when, in point of fact, she's a liar/manipulator.

In the doc., she said she first met her 2nd husband after getting into a fight with her 1st husband & was walking around outside at night - randomly - because she was upset. I.e., she made it sound like the 2nd husband picked her up because she was just walking on the side of the street/road & wanted to "comfort" her because she was upset & crying - ha ha. What a crock. I don't believe a word of what she said.

In fact, wouldn't believe CB if she told me the sky was blue.

Yeah it came out...maybe last week? Least a few days ago. Really, it's sort of just their version of "The Talking Dead," where after Walking Dead would air and post they'd just to a sit-down and chat about it with some of the actors/creators. It's interesting but not really essential.

See I can't say I'm surprised either. When she said she met her 2nd husband when he attempted to pick her up on a walk through the neighborhood at night, she was crying and shot him down, then he drives around the block and TRIES again and says he HAS A GUN and just wants to talk and she can hold the gun on him? Ah!? Then they go to a hotel. Ahhhhh!?

Yeah that sure sounds suspect...because I'll tell you what it sure doesn't sound like: normal. Hah! She's a master of manipulation. You can see it in her behaviors, it's underlying...but it's there. Now truth is told, I do think she killed her husband but I don't really know that. But I'm absolutely sure she knows more than she's saying at the very least.

One thing that got me thinking about all the tiger keepers...... I know a few people who would gladly pay for some midnight feedings, Wonder if that side business actually happens, when the wrong people don’t pay their loan sharks.

I'm sure some of those keeping tigers in the US are drug dealers and other criminal types, so I wouldn't be surprised if that happens. Didn't they mention that tiger stomach acid is very strong and easily digests bones?
