SO I have been watching this auction since the day it came out http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6046428936&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I emailed the sell asking for a early buyout. His price was pretty high IMHO but told them I would bid instead. Up to a couple of days it was still very reasonable. I then look at the bid history and what do I see but a 0 bidder bidding it up in small amounts.

Look at the bidding history and tell me what you think. The funny part was I had a nice large bid on snipe for the auction but this crap this seller is up to has made me decide I don't need the piece that bad. What a crook....

Re: This seller dieselcubed(UK) seems up to no goo

On this I'am 100% in agreement.

The facts come down to that the new "0" feedback bidder is located in UK and has been on ebay since August last year. He still has 0 feedback for all this time which means he has not won a single item since registering. Then this person has only bid on "dieselcubed" auctions and no one else's in the past month.

I feel this guy is the owner of the 0 feedback account. Sadly with this info and a hour to go, you won't be able to get the price any lower or get the toy. This is why you need to bid at the last moment on some toys like this so this would not happen.

Looks shilly to me. The user with 0 feedback has had account since Aug 05. And still hasn't won anything that he got feedback on in that time. Which suggests that when he does win an auction, his counterparty never leaves feedback. Which, ...

... sounds shilly to me!

Check out the high bidders completed bidding history, he bought stuff from the seller in march and has still not received any feedback! you should report the seller to ebay

How do you check this?

Unfortunately there seems to have been a few UK auctions with some "dodgy" looking bidding lately and I just hope it is a temporary trend.

I have never used or even heard of this UK seller before so I can't comment on how reliable they are.

Well, the shill bidder won the auction. Wonder if we'll see the seller relist that piece in the next week or so? Keep your eyes peeled...

The crazy thing is (if the 2 are connected) the seller will have to pay both the listing and final price fees aswell as having to pay to re-list the item once more.

Re: This seller dieselcubed(UK) seems up to no goo

If it is anything like the shill bidding auctions I've been subjected to richy10richy should be getting the 2nd chance offer - with the old glenross1876 has already told me he can't pay for the item so do you want it routine - about now.................

I agree with Todd, report him! These kind of people waste everyone's time and money. Although saying that, he's not much good at shilling as he ends up winning his own goods!

I just sent the glenross1876 account this question.

"Please could you tell me if the split on your Bib fortuna card is a split from the cardback seal or a crack in the bubble?

Many thanks G"

I will laugh my socks of if he replys

That Bib Fortuna has about the nastiest yellow bubble I've seen.

Still:-

"THE BUBBLE IS SPLIT AT THE BOTTOM BUT NONE THE LESS IS 110% MINT!!"

"THIS ITEM IS MINT AND HAS NEVER EVER BEEN OPENED BID TODAY ON THIS CRACKING PEICE OF STAR WARS HISTORY!!"

Cracking being the key word in that last quote I think.

If you go back and read through this guys feedback comments, everytime he gets a negative or neutral comment, he responds back very negatively, calling people names like Donut, and worse. And he calls people liars and stuff. Not good.

The shill account wins the Bib Fortuna but not the Ree Yees. Looks like he hasn't been shill bidding since being reported to ebay.

If that happens, after 7 days he will probably send to ebay a Request for " Final Value Fee credit for returned item or uncompleted transaction". ebay will reembursh the final price fee and he will re-list it again. If he is able to sell it in the second chance ebay will not charge the relisting fee.

LET´S PROSECUTE HIM....nobody should suffer this type of idiots.

Or he will probably sell the item to the second bidder telling him that the winner(himself) is not able to buy it. This way and bidding in the last minute, he raises up the bid of the previous bidder. Is this making sense ???

I guess he wants to raise up the price of the item slowly, in other words, if you pay attention to it, the seller has found a possible real buyer (richie10richie).O.K By increasing in small bits the auction he maintains alive the interest of the buyer, who thinks, he can still buy the item. What happen at the end of the auction ?? Himself with the other account is the winner, but he comes back to the second bidder (richie10richie) telling him that the winner is not able to pay the item so he makes a second bidder offer chance, and because he knows through ebay how much money the second bidder was able to pay..he offers him the item for that price.

The second bidder offer chance makes sense to me but 7 bids in a row when he is already leading just looks so dodgey its ridiculous.I guess richie10richie might not have been monitoring the bid history though and just the slow price rise.Ok I see the light. Thanks Miguel.

Re: This seller dieselcubed(UK) seems up to no goo

And it's not just his SW stuff:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=58443&item=5466652527

Look at the pictures. Obviously not the same pair of jeans in all pictures. In the top 2 you can see a tag on the top of the jeans. The tag folds over onto the back and is secured through the jeans. On the picture of the back of the jeans...whoops! Where did it go?

Jason,
I was just about to post it also. The seller emailed me yesterday and said "What can you see the item is sold already"

The one thing I've learnt recently is that high positive feedback over an extended period of time doesn't necessarily mean all is well. As well as shill bidding, a seller could also build up positive feedback over a period of time before trying to make a killing on some high end items. I've posted already about a Dr Who collector who tried just that with an AFA 90 MOC Palitoy listing. One of mates got done buying high end electricals off a seller who'd been buying £1.99 nick nacks for months in preparation for his scam. And then they can just hack your account and start listing stuff as happened to a forum member only today.

In this particular case it looks like the seller started out good and turned to the dark side mid last year when he opened his shill account.

Keep watching the skies!
