Yeah, I'm cautiously excited for these. McFarlane still makes nice sculpts but their QC really needs some improvement. If that happens I'll gladly buy from the TV series line. Definitely up for Grimes and some zombies.

Re: The Walking Dead Figures (TV & Comics)

I hear ya on the QC. McFarlane makes some amazing statues but they're not to be played with--Unfortunately, too many breaking limbs. Toy Fair is supposed to show tha packaging for the figures. I hope they're HIGHLY diplayable inside and outside the package.

On a side note, looks like the three figures pictured in the links above Lurker, Roamer, and Michonne, are from the comic line. Which I think is good--I always kinda pictured figures from the comics not being so realistic looking though. I'm excited to see pics of the Series 2 TV figures because I think both series are going to compliment one another nicely. Proof will be in the comparison between Comic Rick and TV show Rick. Exciting!

Knowing how McFarlane works, I think we'll be lucky to get 2 series from each medium over the course of a year. I shall hope for the best and expect the worst though.

Here are some figs I hope McFarlane ultimately gets to:

Comic Series:
-Lori/Carl 2 pack
-Andrea
-Amy
-Glenn
-The Governor (late)
-Rosita Espinosa
-Sergeant Abraham Ford
-Dale (late)
-Rick (late)
-Michonne's zombies 2-pack
-ANY Zombies

TV Series:
-Andrea
-Shane
-Amy
-Glenn
-Lori/Carl 2 pack
-Bicycle Zombie
-Mrs. Tongue.
-Skinny male camp attack zombie
-Female Zombie that investigated Glenn

head splitting action, that's funny. That just moved these toys up my list from no to possibly.

The articulation on those looks hideous, but I'm interested in some of the TV versions!

It's amazing how they don't articulate the tv versions as well as the comic versions. I'm gonna pass on this line.

Same here. I discovered these at TRU and was enchanted by the zombie with the hatchet and split-open head. :applause: But at $20 a pop forget it. :greedy_dollars:

Found 'em at Toys R(ape) Us today too. Simply cannot justify $20 for an average-looking 6 inch figure, ever!

It's good to see I wasn't the only one that had to do a double take at the price. When I noticed the tag I put those figures down so fast I'm surprised I didn't break 'em...

But I'll probably have to get at least one from the TV series. I'll just wait until they hit clearance like any other McFarlane product from the past couple years.

I cannot describe how utterly disappointed I was at the $15 price point for a six inch figure, but $20 just absolutely pissed me off—so much so in fact that I have made a personal decision not to support TRU and their ludicrous price-gouging policies further for ANY family toy/bicycle/electronics needs. I will go without before I will go into that “store”. On a positive note, it’s nice to see I have sane limitations with my hard-earned-but-highly-devalued cash. :)

I saw these and got interested until I saw the price. Sounds like that seems to be what everyone is saying about these. If they were closer to $10-12, I would have stayed interested.

Is the TV series wave hitting yet? I might have to bite on a Rick or Daryl or something...
Not yet I was mistaken..The crummy thing is that if you order the Case you get the Black & White Blood Splatter Rick and you can only get him in the case. I plan to try to get all of them.
As for the current ones I got Rick and the 2 Zombies. Got em for 10 each down at a local Toy Show. They are pretty cool.

I'd probably bite for $10. How is the quality, I've heard negative things in that regard?

Gotta love the 'Head splitting action' though!

What's up with the black and white ones? The graphic novel was black and white I'm guessing? But then what's the sense in a black and white figure with red blood spatter?

TV Series figures should be hitting any day now. They are up on TRU's website. I am a huge fan so I'll buy them but the price should be much less considering that TWD is an Image Comics property and they are not paying licensing fees like with their HALO line.

I think they are good quality do to they are based of of a comic book. The paint on Ricks face could of been done better. The head splitting is pretty cool the issue I have is the had just falls open unless you have a band on it. The other one splits in half, you can take of a arm and a hand and the top of his head.
As for the black and white one they are the "search" figure. I belive in a few of the first issues of the comic book there where parts where it appeared you could see the red in a B & W comic. Just kind of a cool concept.
