Re: Rochester Thread 72

Yes, good to see you Dave. Wish I could have stayed longer.

I spotted a "new" Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Saga Legends line I did not know was coming out. SL19 Obi-Wan is the ROTS Pilot figure without the plastic cloak. Weird. Otherwise, nothing new to report.

There's a store at Eastview called Toyland that cracks me up...they have SW figures marked up to $10.99. They have the same exact toys you can drive across the parking lot and buy at Target for 25% cheaper. Cracked me up!

I also picked up the complete series DVD of THE TICK!
SPOOOOOOON!

Also, I picked up my first Blu-Ray movie today!

I know I mentioned a couple of these as I'm sort of Blu-Ray junkie, but Braveheart looks awesome, as does Dark Knight, Iron Man and Grease for that matter. Most Blus look great, it's hard to screw it up. I simply upgraded some of favorites to Blu-Ray (Gladiator, Bourne movies, Band of Brothers etc..) My favorite to date is the Battlestar Galactica series, which I'm still making my way through. I am also looking forward to the ultimate editions of Harry Potter in December and was disappointed to see Lord of the Rings pushed back to sometime next year from this coming December.

looks like I must run to Brockport for my Driod 2-packs.

Now that I've got a gift card from my Birthday yesterday, I can afford them!

I am a little embarrassed to ask, but has anyone seen the KISS Potato Heads at Walmart. They are not for me, they are for a friend. Really. If so, can you stash Gene and Ace for me…I mean my friend.
Thanks

What's wrong with admitting to buying KISS Potato Heads? I plan on getting them along with some KISS M&Ms. Most Wal-Marts should have them as of today.

Re: Rochester Thread 72

Some Dork is running around buying them up. I was able to get Gene. They only had Gene and Paul left in Henrietta. I assume they were packed in greater numbers than Ace and Peter (or whatever those two are named this week).

I suspect the M&M's will be around for some time. Seven dollars a bag (and it is a pretty small bag). BTW there are four different bags.

Re: Rochester Thread 72

I picked up Spaceman & Cat at 3f, they had about 5 each of Gene & Paul, 1 Spaceman and no Cats left.

They didn't get in the M&Ms yet, but I didn't know they were $7 a bag! Holy crap!!!

Not sure which 3f is, but if you could pm location to me I would appreciate it. The M&M's were at the gates walmart, but in the halloween section. They also had masks, makeup and tee shirts for 5.00.

Re: Rochester Thread 72

happy B-day John.

BTW, as of yesterday...there were only a handful of sets left at Brockport. I don't recall which ones, but at least one was Bobba Fett. Most are gone.

LOTS of Octuptarra Droids everywhere I look...

Crappity crap crud.

Why are these things not sitting on the shelves?

Anyone been to Webster? they out there? How's macedon look?

If you're in the vicinity of any of those, let me know. I'd rather not try to drive all the way out to brockport to only be let down.

Re: Rochester Thread 72

Ok, I finally took the long drive out to Brockport WM.

It's a sign that I should have just left when I pulled in. The place was without power due to the winds.

However, I stuck around. I was able to get 3 of the 5 sets of build a droid. I picked up # 2, 4, and 5.

I am still in need of #1 and #3. IF anyone spots these, PM me ASAP and hide them for me.

Only an anikin set. that's all.

I wonder if these sets are going to hit full force come "black friday"? Or is our time for these come and gone?

Re: Rochester Thread 72

Brockport was the fifth Wal-Mart I checked.
Having grabbed the Maul set at Greece (the only sign of any of them), was determined to get the set.
It is suprising that they sold out of them, five days ago they had at least three full sets after my purchase.
Maybe after Droid Factory Volume 1 collecting dust, Wal-Mart reduced their order?

Maybe they ordered to many Octupurra Droids.
Maybe they should mark them down.

Happy October 7, John.
