It was rumoured once before, news via Yakface:

full

“Today we have a follow up to our rumor report from October 2022 regarding the code name and pricepoint of the Vintage Collection Mandalorian’s N-1 Naboo Starfighter. I’ve been able to confirm the code name is indeed “Bridgeport” and I’ve also found a pricepoint (U.S.) for $131.99 – a bit lower than what I had approximated back then. No word when we’ll be able to see an actual product/render but the sure money is at Star Wars Celebration in April.”

Who’s going to be purchasing it?

I was on the fence, but the price is better than I thought it would be to be honest. I might end up getting this if they feature the ship in some cool scenes during season 3.

For that price it better come with Djarin but some put droids would also be welcomed.

So a rumored vehicle gets a dedicated thread but an official Hasbro reveal like the 212th Clone 4-pk does not?

Wasn't this pipelined on the last livestream? And confirmed to not be an exclusive? I've been wondering why no one (with "sufficient privileges") started this thread when that happened.

So long as this ship doesn't get destroyed on the show before the preorder goes up, I'll grab this.

Yeah, it was pipelined during the February 1st Livestream. The only new info we got with YF's post yesterday was the price point and confirmation of the codename.

There also needs to be a thread for the Mando Speeder Bike/Trooper, and as @Masterfett stated there still isn't one for the 212th 4-pack.

While din seems most obvious, he is the least desirable imho, as he should be readily available singly ( notice I say, "should be") and that should be an ideal business approach, keep din seperate to promote another sale for din for those that need din. But include a character likely to pegwarm more than din, like peli.

It should definitely be Mando. Locking any other desired The Mandalorian character behind a $150 paywall would be nonsense. This isn't that Rogue One pilot we are talking about here that like 9 people actually asked for.

Peli won't pegwarm any more or less than any other TVC figure.

For me it doesn't matter as I'm buying it regardless (even without a pack in figure) but it should just be Mando with a soft goods cape.

Regardless, like in old Kenner days you go into store you see the ship then off to side you see fig to oulot it . Wow 2 potential sales vs packing a rerererepacked fig in w/ ship...one sale. Stores and hasbro want 2 sales. Also on pegs a Mando and a peli, who us the 1 fig most kids/parents etc buys? Mando. Only us die hard would go for peli so again smarter business says put peli in w/ ship, reissue single Mando on the side

Stop negating very pov I pOst, lol

It's not the old Kenner days.

Kids/parents arent buying TVC no matter who is on the pegs. If we are still going to pretend that kids/parents are buying these than the $150 ship has better include the pilot and star of the show.

Lots of people might want Peli that don't want to spend $150 on a ship.

It's his ship. He should be packed with it.

I mean just picture the box: "The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter" (The Mandalorian not included but here is the mechanic that kinda worked on it)

That is like "Luke Skywalker's X-Wing" (Luke not included but here is the guy that pushed the ladder to it that one time)

I'm having a hard time imagining Target or Walmart stocking this in their physical stores.

True. Unless it's scheduled to come out sometime around the holidays. Retail seems to be ok taking chances with bigger items in limited quantities around that time. Regardless I won't be surprised in the least if this is a Fan Channel or online exclusive of sorts. I can't see them limiting it to Pulse only.

"Not the old Kenner days...."

No 💩 sherlock

"Lots of people might want Peli that don't want to spend $150 on a ship."

Same damn argument on typhon fett despite it being his ship

I'm just saying from a business p.o.v. -hasbro, wm and target still see these as kids toys, hence "ages 4+" and in toy isles, despite who, 's buying and not buying. . So again from a business p.o.v, sell Mando separately for an extra sale to help the hasbro CEO w/ his plans.
Pics on box means nothing really

no driver or trooper included

incl peli would get die hards to buy it a bit quicker than a rererepack of a multi-owned fig already.

rerererepacking mando would be bottom line BORING!! imho

The ship can come with its pilot, and Mando can also get a new single card release with different Season 3-specific accessories and paint.

This is Hasbro we're talking about. They and Lucasfilm will milk the Mando cash cow.

And if it doesn't come with a Mando then oh well.

I really don't see Hasbro packing in Peli Motto. I'd be surprised and happy to get her if they do. But it seems like a longshot.

Peli seems more suited to be the SDCC exclusive with her droid entourage in one fell swoop. It would all be 95% repacks/repaints. Just Peli's head on Rose's body and any accessories really. Toss a Mando in there as well. Why not :)

Clearly you're looking to argue - I wasn't.

Anyway yes - those did not come with pilots. They also didn't come with a side character just because of...die hards?

If this comes with Peli (it won't) I'll gladly apologize to you because I'm just that kinda guy and move on to preordering it (if I'm allowed because apparently those are bad).

I wouldn’t be too surprised if there was a pack in figure or not. If there was, I would guess Din.

Peli is a head scratcher. She’s shown up often enough to warrant a figure, but she has a rather bland outfit and doesn’t really stand out on her own, which could cause her to peg warm. As others having mentioned, having some type of boxed set exclusive with all of her droids seems the way to go.

I do think an R5-D4 repack or repaint on a single card seems possible. Could even see it being on a Mando card.

Peli and Pit Droids or R5-D4

I'd take that.

I'm not sure where all this Peli isn't good enough for retail stuff is coming from.

They just put out that awfully boring Vel Sartha. At least Peli would have some cool accessories.

Agree that Vel is a pretty boring figure. Love the show. But the figure is bland. B2 is infinitely cooler.

Peli will work best packaged with her droids imho. You can't have one without the other. And they make more sense than ever now with the N-1 coming.

As mentioned above, displaying the N-1 will have challenges just like the Razor Crest. The footprint is wide, and the tail needs room to run.

Grogu is another pack-in possibility to sit in his little bubble.

At the end of the day they made Mythrol. They'll make Peli. Eventually.

^ still waiting on the client, s1 bill burr et co., and window opening is very dim for Dryden Vos, and/or tfa Gen leia. So not holding my breath on peli. Hopefully I'm wrong and they will make her.

i am more leaning toward thought of no pack-in fig. since price is not as high as orig expected. and honestly, i am ok w. no fig more than a din pack-in The way i see it, a din pack-in is a % of the total cost is wasted even if it's the same price as no fig

^ I feel a bit more confident as time goes with Peli's chances because of her increasing exposure and popularity. Dr Pershing is inching his way up the ladder as well, though he's still got a ways to go and needs to be more involved in Season 3.

The Client was in only one season. I don't think TVC will ever get him even though TBS did. Grrr.

Peli has been in Mando S1 and S2, BOBF, and now Mando S3. She's Mando's personal mechanic, a friend of Grogu, and basically their base with the Crest gone.

I don't think TVC will ever see another SOLO figure unless there's some big anniversary push or tie-in from another show/movie later on. Lucasfilm has swept that and the sequel trilogy under the rug for the time being.

yeah Monday am quarterbacking, it's a shame that "hades joker"(Vos?) and the rumored single pack patrol trooper from rumored final solo revision wave were not released in the tubed 3.75" GoA pre-TROS GoA line. That could've been a reasonable "transition" to new temp. packing of final 5poa 3.75". Many times in past final wave figs that didn't get released on time, were released in next package re-dos.

I honestly cannot fathom how so many of you seem to be okay with how Hasbro has been pricing TVC 2.0, especially vehicles.
I mean, at the end of the day they're not essential items. I get more frustrated with increasing gas prices, food prices, accommodation, etc because that impacts my life no matter what I do.

Star Wars toys are a luxury purchase. If I have a hundred bucks to spend on them, it just means I buy fewer and am way more selective about it. Ultimately, I feel like this hurts Hasbro in the long run. If I can only get Cassian OR Vel due to budget issues, I'd probably end up getting neither and saving my money. I'm narrowing my focus to a handful of categories and ignoring everything else.

Was/is there any doubt that the included figure would be anyone other than Din? I mean maybe if we happen to see Sabine Wren fly it in one episode, but that hasn't happened. And this has been in production for a long time. It will be Din, maybe an extra Grogu to stick in the droid spot.

I am as ok with Hasbro jacking toy prices as I am with everything in my life continually going up in price. It sucks. But I still want the toys, so I work hard to afford them.
While it does happen, it doesn't happen to this degree for no reasons. And as long as people continue to feed into the insane idea that it's okay, it will only continue. But hey who the F cares about all those families that cannot absorb the sharp increase because of greed. And lets be honest these companies aren't hurting when they made record profits all throughout the pandemic! So I'm not about to feel sorry for poor old corporate America and just go along with paying their high prices for everything just so they can get rich while continuing to take advantage of the less fortunate.

This sub forum needs more than just GNT moderating as he's only one person and can only do so much.
Gregg was actually "uploaded" (is apparently the appropriate way to explain it) in 2014 and was replaced by an algorithm. GNT now stands for Generated Nanobot Technology.

I don't disagree, but toys are a microcosm of this. We can all stop buying and then the toys go away. Lose-lose.

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to this ship and hope Hasbro has the painted model at Celebration and not just renders.

Since this is a general release, it will probably end up on sale or even clearance, so those that think its overpriced, but want to own it, can simply wait. No one should feel they have to pay a price they're not comfortable with, in order to support a mega corporation - Hasbro isn't a charity. We should only support pricepoints we think are reasonable, or that we're willing to pay because we want the item on the release date.

While this isn't something I'm buying, as I don't collect large vehicles - I'm guessing Mando & Grogu will be packed with the ship, can't imagine Peli being included with it, as they'll want to toss in repacks to save money. I could see Peli in the basic line with a tiny droid, similar to the Cal Kestis release. She seems to have a decent fan following, so she might do well, or perhaps sell slowly like Mythrol, but would hopefully make enough profit back to be worth the release - I know I'd certainly buy one. I like the actor, and think she's some of the best comic relief to come out of the Disney+ content.
