Standing 3 ¾-inches tall, the Vintage collection provides 3 new Anakin Skywalker figures, walking fans through the Jedi’s fall and transformation into the Sith Lord, Darth Vader. Each figure includes some fabric, flexible clothing, accurate lightsabers and outfits to the films, and Darth Vader (Redeemed) even includes an interchangeable arm and lightning effects – a call back to his turning point in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

gotta re-look at the upcoming ahsoka fb anakin to see any differences. Maybe a TPM anakin shouldve been the 1st one instead?

Anakin (ROTS) on a card now feels inevitable since this is the "Vader" version.

I'm in for one of these sets to rip open, but can't help but think all three will be carded at some point in the future in repack slots.
 
^ in a way, this shouldn't have been too surprising given the last 3 pk like this was Luke set...but did i expect this? NO FLIPPIN' WAY! now i guess w/ pulse, i'll have to find something to add to it to make $75 min for free shipping, maybe re-order a couple singles already preordered at amazon. I don't think i need 2 of these

I wouldn't say it's perfect at all. Effectively what's a reissue of the up coming TCW Anakin with a cape and an extremely scene specific Vader variant that's really not a necessity to any collection beyond the completist...but I WOULD say that ROTS Anakin (I suppose it's actually Ahsoka Anakin too, red saber inclusion and all, but give him the blue saber and it's ROTS Anakin) is perfect.

Perfect figure in a nice but imperfect set. If it were perfect...it would be TPM Tatooine Anakin over TCW. That's already coming.

Now give us that ROTS Obi Wan update and we can make a pretty epic Mustafar fight.

Still got my fingers crossed for Endor Rebels, but doesn't seem likely. My money is on at least one being a cantina alien set. That Duro's X-Wing pilot head was made for a reason.

These sets rely on reuse so that wasn't going to happen. I think it's fine for what it is; a collection of scene-specific Anakins.

Don't get me wrong here, I do really like it, but I think people are mixing up "Great Figure" with "Great Set." What is nice, though, is that I presume you can swap the headsculpts (and lightsabers) between the two bodies to have a Jedi ROTS Anakin and a Sith ROTS Anakin headsculpt. It's the only reason why I didn't just cancel my TCW Anakin single card preorder.

Also, I don't think I've ever discussed this before, but it did always bother me that Anakin didn't get the red saber in ROTS. I always kind of wished he did, but at the same time I do also like seeing blue vs. blue as it's uncommon. So it's not a big deal to me, but I did often give my ROTS Anakin's a red saber. Just a little edit I'd make.

If you have the HTTE set on preorder with Pulse, cancel it and then put in a new order for the HTTE set and one of these to qualify for free shipping.

My first thought was this may have been CONV EXCL 3 since they've done special action figure sets like this before, but good to see Jayson's sorting and ordering of the master list proves to offer hints on what else is to come in 2025 now.

Want more of ths ^^^ but why Hasbro can't get things like this in a store is still confusing. I see crap in the toy aisle all the time that is either overpriced or just doesn't sell, but somehow TVC packaging, which is MADE for display and for visibility and nostalgia, etc.....

I know... buy online... everythings easy online... blah. Any time a Star Wars fan is at my house, they marvel at all the stuff they've never seen or heard of before. Kids are shocked that Star Wars has so many things because they've never seen any of it in a store.

i may just p/u the TBS SotE set as well. Not a TBS collector, but i do p/u an occasioanal "special" one and this set is sorta/kinda "special" for me.
 
Wow, did not expect another three pack reveal so soon let alone it to be an Anakin set.

It’s a cool set, though. I’m glad we’re essentially getting a ROTS Anakin update. I do find it ironic that yesterday I mentioned Sith Eyes Anakin and Emperor’s Wrath Vader for a 50th anniversary Commemorative set and here they are, hahaha.

TCW Anakin is the oddball of the three pack. Yeah, he has the scar now, but the cape is an odd inclusion. It feels more like a nod to the Microseries Anakin, but with the wrong colors. It kind of feels odd to be double dipping with TCW Anakin, since we’re just about to get it. That hasn’t stopped Hasbro before and they’re at least differences between the two figures, but still kind of odd.
 
Absolutely love this set! Instant purchase for me.

However....

Vader's gloves are incorrect. In ROJ (and ESB) his gloves had vertical stripes on them. These appear to be horizontal, like what he wore in ANH and Rogue One.

Either way, this is reminiscent of the Anakin/Vader Evolutions set that came out in the ROTS line in the summer of 2005. My favorite time in collecting.

I've said this before, but Hasbro does try to sell the things we ask for. They're frustrating and sometimes they take forever, but they do usually come through for us.
 
Since I'm not a PT collector, this isn't the most exciting set for me, BUT, I'm always happy to see TVC getting something new, even if there is a lot of re-use going on. Will pick up a set and offload the ROTS Anakin, but keep the other two. CW Anakin will be good for custom fodder, and electrified Vader is an upgrade over the TVC 1.0 version. Do hope that Vader comes carded eventually, but this time on a scene-specific card using a frame from the film where he's getting electrocuted, even if they have to use some Photoshop trickery to make the image work on a 6x9 card.
 
What a great set! The Ahsoka show dark side (Or ROTS videgoame alternate ending if you're a cool kid) Anakin looks amazing!

The Clone Wars one with cape has the scar fixed that people pointed out with the previous version, and the Emperor's Wrath Vader looks cool!

Plus, being a Pulse Exclusive means that those that don't want this for whatever reason won't be sick of seeing it shelf space away from what they DO want!

A win-win for everyone!

Now just get Anakin's Starfighter out there in a TVC box please, Hasbro!

Yeah, my thoughts on this were similar. Not disappointment per say but more like meh, I absolutely don't need any more Vader figures. Vader's wrath is a neat variant and would look good with a skeletal structure under that "invisible" helmet but without a DS to put it in..
Then we have ROTS Anakin which should be a single release, and frankly a second TCW Anakin so close to the Ahsoka release seems overkill. Once again two releases "competing" with each other just like some of their DLX offerings. It does nothing for me and feels more "lazy" than inspiring.

Don't get me wrong, all the figures look great and it's nice to finally have a proper updated EPIII Anakin. This just doesn't move the needle for me, certainly not even close to how the HTTE set made me feel.

Which I think is a good thing for select characters from these non-carded multipacks, this one though feels unneeded if they're just going to put ROTS figure carded a few months later. That said, I like how it mimics Evolutions vibe of TLC for a character. But if the purpose of this set was ROTS, then it should have been all from ROTS.
The positive is that it's not taking any main line slots, other than the Anakin being carded at some point.

For me as an opener I'll be torn between getting this and passing on the single carded versions of Anakin, and getting Vader as a bonus. However, being that I'll want multiples it'll mean extra Vaders I don't need. lol

Totally this, this sept specifically having two version of Anakin and a Vader screams retail to draw in all walks of buyers. You've got TCW, PT and an OT version of a popular character and it goes to Pulse? The HTTE set being Exclusive I get, but Anakin/Vader?! 😲

In terms of ROTS 3-pks and character selection, I wouldn't mind if they took this route for Commander Cody. Phase 1, 2 and BB deco!
 
They saved the best TVC reveal for the last week of Gift The Galaxy! This is something that I think PT and CW fans have been hoping to see get released for a long time. And with Anakin's appearance in the "Shadow Warrior" episode of AHSOKA, that helped to seal the deal.

I like the nod to the Tartakovsky 2D Clone Wars series with Anakin's cape. It's a nice touch. At first I thought the hair might have changed, but it looks like only the color has been altered from the upcoming Anakin.

The World Between Worlds version of Anakin is just what I had been hoping for from that series. "Shadow Warrior" was an amazing episode. It helped dovetail Hayden Christensen's performances that much better with the way Matt Lanter had portrayed Anakin in The Clone Wars, making for a much more complete, yet complicated character. And this dark incarnation of Anakin is precisely what might have faced the galaxy if he hadn't been so gravely wounded on Mustafar. I have a hunch that this Anakin will be re-released in at least a couple of forms down the line. A Jedi Knight version seems to be in order. And a Sith eyes version from ROTS also seems like a great possible release.

I understand the inclusion of the 'Emperor's Wrath' version of Vader. And I have little doubt that it was built on that Dark Times Vader buck that has been used for 4 previous Darth Vader releases. Better for this to be in a multipack than to have another of these ROTJ Vaders on an individual cardback.

This also eliminates another of the candidates from my March Madness 2024 Top 25. Glad to see that happen, and it's time to start crafting the 25 for 2025!
