Not really sold on the images that came out today, from the teaser

But I am curious to see more.
This is all based on first impressions, obviously.
Agreed, while I don't expect them to exactly resemble their animated counterpart they could have sought actors with slimmer faces rather than ones with round melons on top of their shoulders. The makeup looks more like amateur cosplay than a Hollywood studio production, but like you say we'll have to wait and see more in action sequences.

That guy got seriously de-alienized since RotS. The Pau'ans looked like space vampires with vertically furrowed faces back then. The animated version of the Grand Inquisitor had his facial lines reduced, but still had a certain Nosferatu-ness on him. Here, he has barely any furrows left, and the face looks much too human. Also, his gaunt elegance is gone, making room for a round-faced bouncer guy. Meh.

They had awesome make up for the race, for the prequels :) and G.I. is supposed to be one of these.

GI supposed to be skinny and gaunt like Tarkin. The guy in the teaser looks like he's been eating too many Twinkies...packing on the pounds!

I didn’t even realize the Rebels grand inquisitor was Pau’an! 😅

Grand Inquisitor has been my most wanted Black Series figure for a while now, but if the figure looks like the Kenobi trailer I will pass.

Sadly, I have to agree with this. No Idea how they could botch his design this much.

I think looks fantastic, instant buy for me, live action versus animation usually not the same.

Um yeah, I think you're missing the point that his people has been seen in live action before though... He really looks like a totally different character despite animation and live action not being the same, plenty of narrow headed people out there to cast. This is just too jarring considering they did a pretty good job on Cad Bane's transition.

Disney cast Rupert Friend in the role, and honestly, I don't think he's a bad casting choice. He doesn't have a particularly long face but he does have angular features. I think the problem became an abundance of prosthetics that make Rupert's head look far too round. His head was shaved for Hitman, and if Disney had kept the prosthetics at a minimum, or at the very least taller like the ROTS Pau'ans, I think Rupert's Grand Inquisitor could've looked way better. Also, he doesn't appear to have the yellow Inquisitor eyes.

If we get a Grand Inquisitor I want it to look more like Rebels than this half-assed live action attempt. They don't get to keep using the excuse that the animated versions are more exaggerated than what they should look like in live action when the Grand Inquisitor in Rebels looks less extreme than what the Pau'ans looked like in Episode 3.

If we are lucky we will get both! And maybe even a version from the area they did not explore fully (irony):
Animated Realistic Style Evolution - you know, the one where they make a realistic version of an animated character, even though there already is a real person portraying that.
(I need to patent that before Hasbro do - they love their acronyms!)

True lol moment...

While I would prefer his head to look more like his species should from ROTS, he does look pretty good to me overall (especially given that the Rebels figures are all stylized to appear more realistic too). I think he will fit in just fine on my Imperial shelf.

This is the first figure they have revealed this year that is an auto-buy for me.

He looks sick. Definite pick-up, he'll fit right in with the Ghost crew too.

Meh I dunno. I like the show but he was a little underwhelming to me. I’m always tempted by red sabers so who knows I might get him? I’d much rather have the 4th sister with the head tendrils.
