Especially with no movie. I doubt Resistance will have a very big figure draw, not seeing a lot of hype for the show so far.

I check them all, only found 6" stuff, except Tuesday morning which had Rose and Executioner Trooper (I happily bough one more of these to make the pair for $5). Really wanted a Proto Fett to open and I can't find him anywhere, never saw him in ANY retail environment. Checked 2 Burlingtons and nothing but lightsabers and 6". I am hoping it wasn't picked though already but it's quite possible the scalpers already hit it hard.
May also be the fact they lost the Exclusivity, leaving a bad taste in their mouth? Because "other" Toy Books have SW items in them. The ones I received from Kmart and Fred Meyer both featured Star Wars. As well as other circulars. So i'm thinking that it's not so much that SW is not as popular as it once was. But that Walmart specifically is giving it the cold shoulder. Which doesn't bother me in the slightest, as I don't frequent them very often. While that retailer has its supporters, I've never really been a fan. And after their handling of Exclusives, and SW line in general. I've come to to point I almost despise them. lol

Yeah, Walmart only has itself to blame for blowing their exclusive line that they wanted.
Anyone finding anything new with the discount stores? Seems to have gone dry.
Yeah I feel like I hit them too late for the most part. I'm curious from anyone who's been there, are the toys in Burlington's only in the designated "Toy" area? In both stores I checked, it looked like a pop shop in the center of the store. Not much really there at all. I was expecting aisles, but everything is haphazardly thrown onto tables for the most part.
In both instances they were in the middle of the store. Only half the locations by me received them. Maybe they are staggering them?
Yep, middle of the store on tables and tall wire racks along with Justice League movie figures, 12 Deadpool figures, etc.

I have been to the Burlington store in the past few weeks and have’t seen anything Black series. Only thing Star Wars I’ve seen is the light and Dark side lightsaber.
During the initial sightings at Ross several weeks ago I found a Ponda Boba at Ross. Yesterday I popped in and found a Sandtrooper.
Well there is the trick, it was several weeks ago. I totally missed out, I'm sure some other wily collectors got to the good stuff before me. Still, good to know some of those discount stores carry interesting SW stuff. I was hoping to find a really cheap Rey Speeder here from the 5POA line so I could use it for my TVC figure. That, and the Snowtrooper snow speeder from TFA. They never showed it in the movie, but it's in the deleted scene.
My Walgreens was clearancing the tfa snow speeder out at one point
Ah man, I didn't think to check a Walgreen's for 3.75" stuff, I always thought they just did the 6" exclusives.
I checked a Burlington yesterday but no restocks. Was hoping Marshall’s or TJ Max would get the wave Ross received. I could use a few $3 Sandtroopers and Sandpeople.
You should check Tuesday Morning for the TFA vehicles. I'm pretty sure I've seen Rey's speeder. At one point they also had TFA snowspeeder and that other Jakku speeder (with Finn), but I can't say I seen those recently.
You can also find Rey's speeder online at walmart.com for a reasonable price and free shipping to the store.
Went back to the Burlington where I found some IRGs a few weeks ago. I left about a dozen figures from the rest of the wave. None left today. not a trace. Also no restock. My guess is these are a one shot hit. Like Tuesday morning.

Said this in another thread, but can you imagine how well a Bad Batch 5-pack (featuring Echo's new suit/look) would sell? Hasbro's aversion to making the most money they can off the Star Wars license continues to baffle me
I found all my empty boxes for these I had stored away and decided these would be the best means to store the 3D printed 1985 Ewoks/Droids cartoon custom figs I have acquired. Made a few quick print outs and wa-la!

I say not a great deal because these all went to clearance and discount stores for $20 or less IIRC a couple of years ago.
Gosh, I was doing a bit of purging the collection today and rediscovered just how many Galen Marek action figures Hasbro actually made. A total of 8 in just 3-4 years culminating with the latest one in the Black Series. Have to say that I am impressed that they gave an EU character so much attention, every other one pales in comparison. I guess it helps the game was very popular back then for us to even get Felucians etc.

TFU really had a strong merchandising push, probably because Lucas was so involved in the process. During the 2013 / 2014 TBS 3.75 lines they also peppered in a decent amount of EU characters, something like half a dozen just in the basic assortment. The character selection remained good until we hit TFA, and then the repacks flowed with a lot of basic choices from TFA, which made the line a bore. I recall only being excited for a few releases, because we had a basic line covering most of the characters as well.
What was sad about it was the fact that there were some interesting character designs that never got action figures, and that the ones that did get made were 5POA. Granted there were people who liked 5POA, but for me it just meant less to buy because I didn't. The only one I might have bought if made in 5POA was that gold droid in Maz's Castle.

I don't know if anyone's particularly clamouring for a storage option for Walmart TBS 3.75", but I recently bought some of these stackable storage containers from Daiso to store loose figures and accessories and discovered quite by accident that they perfectly fit a row of 7 boxed.

I learned a lessen long ago not to buy "open" type containers, I got a good deal on the few that I bought with lids. Normally $13 I got them for half price and they're about the size of a 48 QT cooler. The good thing about them is that when I no longer need them for Collectible storage they can be used for other household items that i also have too much of.

Check eBay sold listings. That's the best barometer of current market prices.

youd be better off looking at Completed Listings.
If you're thinking of selling I'd probably do it fairly soon before Hasbro decides to reissue in TVC, while it may or may not impact carded prices I'm sure it will take a hit somehow once there's more available. Honestly, considering the crappy TBS cardbacks I don't know why a carded version would be that much more than loose figure. The only reason he commands a lot is due to being OOP and kind of rare as that wave seemed very limited.

Does the value usually go down when reissues come out? Yeah better look at selling soon then.
Plagueis would look great on a Vintage collection card.
Generally, though I don't know the exact Dollar amounts. The biggest impact to ebay sales once a reissue happens is the fact there's a cheaper alternative and less demand than if it wasn't reissued. I've sold off all of my TVC 1.0 figures expecting reissues and now look, a whole wave of Jabba goons for $17 each when before they would have run $100+ for a carded figure. I got a pretty decent return on those which has helped offset some of the more pricier stuff Hasbro has made. Specifically the barge and Razor Crest, heck by the time I sold off the Jawa Elder and Grogu that was included with the RC it ended up only costing me about $130!

Even crazier that the figure originally shot up in price because of Snoke identity speculation, you'd think that bubble would've burst by now.
sadly i only have 2 Black Series figures still boxed in my collection: the 2014 Walmart Ahsoka and 2015 Yavin Ceremony Leia
Anyone here who could help me out with an extra protech Star6 case for a figure I have? Would greatly appreciate it
