I guess it's a first step towards an Omega Squad custom.

TBH, now that the mold exists I would totally expect them to repaint this sculpt for Delta Squad as part of the Gaming Greats line. And I hope they do!
It would require a new helmet (and ideally, a new forearm with retracting vobro-blade) to properly represent the "Katarn" armor from the game, but yes, I really hope we see this tooling re-used for Republic Commando figures post-haste.

As others have mentioned, I am hopeful this will lead to releases of other Clone Commandos (are Delta and Omega squad still considered canon?)

On a side note, I watched the new Clone Wars season last night and does anyone else think Hunter looks like Charlie Sheen's character from Platoon??

I got more of a John Rambo vibe than a Charlie Sheen, and IMO that's not a good thing. I don't need Clones looking like pop culture icons.
I also never got Rex's hair color, was he not too busy fighting a war that he could spend a Saturday night with his mates and dyeing his hair? I get why the people in charge do this type of stuff but logically thinking they weren't bread to be individuals. I can understand shaved heads close cropped etc. but I'm not sure about Gree's look, or even the way they styles Neyo's lol. it's neat and adds variety don't get me wrong, just seems unlikely for a Clone force.

One reason why I like Crosshair is because he's an older Clone of which we never really saw in TCW really, I assumed they were just forcibly retired at a certain age. The ones who lived anyways.

This character just didn't appeal to me nor does having the figure. I almost bought a custom Tech helmet a while back and I'm glad i waited, surely he'll be next.

The whole "Bad Batch" didn't appeal to me except crosshair, they were far too cheesy of a group. The Rambo look is terrible.
It's been said in a few different episodes how clones try to look different to give themselves individuality or set themselves apart. I could understand that, in reality it would most likely be similar.
Also who wouldn't have time to dye their hair regardless of a war haha.

Have to agree with you there. I don't mind them as much now as on the initial watch since there was an element of just wanting to hurry up and get to Mandalore when the season first aired. But they never really grew on me, though I know some folks really love them and that's good.

I would much rather have seen them integrate Delta Squad into the same role, or a new Republic Commando squad. Republic Commandos have been severely underrepresented in Disney canon.

To say nothing of (*grinds teeth*) "Tup" and his samurai man-bun...

I think by the time I had finally watched the Bad Batch episodes, the spinoff had been announced, so I knew that they lived on and there was more to their story, but watching through it, they kinda came across as if they were all just one step away from being double agents and turning on Rex.

As for different looks/individuality amongst the clones, it reminds me of the space marines in the movie Aliens. Each character has their own personalized armor (graffiti, attachments, etc). This was done to imply to the viewer a few things about this squad of marines: each had a long battle history with the corps and weren't rookies; because of that history and record, superiors let it slide that they took some personal liberties with their attire.

If you apply that thinking to the clones we're familiar with, it would reinforce the idea that the Bad Batch were these ultimate badasses and no one told them what they couldn't do.

I wasn’t crazy about the BB episodes, they were my least favorite of the new ones. It’s a decent idea, the sort of misfit clone crew. But as others have said it kinda came across as a cheesy SW Avengers team. That said, the figures look great (especially Crosshair who was my favorite of the crew) and it looks like this will be a wave where I want every single figure, so I’m in.

The Bad Batch strikes me as the Star Wars version of the A-Team.

"The A-Team is an American action-adventure television series that ran on NBC from 1983 to 1987 about former members of a fictitious United States Army Special Forces unit. The members, after being court-martialed "for a crime they didn't commit", escaped from military prison and, while still on the run, worked as soldiers of fortune."

Doesn't that sound like the situation the Bad Batch will be in when they don't execute Order 66? Watching these elite Clone Troopers offer their services for hire when the cause is just sounds cool to me, and I can't wait to see the galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Republic's fall and the Empire's rise.

Billy laughs at your choice of 80s cliche pop-culture references.

Got Hunter today! Love the figure man. I've loved the Bad Batch since they were first shown in the old CW Animatics that Lfl released after the show's first ending.
As far as his likeness goes, I'd have preferred if they pushed the Temuera Morison aspect a bit further in the Stallone direction, which is how the cartoon character looks. As is he looks just like a friend of mine from High School....dressed as Hunter; the comedic aspect of this is really testing my ability to suspend my disbelief, lol. My only other gripe is that I wish they could have tooled a hole in his backpack for his blaster to peg into. Ah well....still a dream come true figure man! Can't wait for the rest of the crew, especially Echo!
