I was able to snag Darth Maul at Target last week after having them check in the back stock room. Out of curiosity, I popped over to Target while running some errands and headed to the toy aisle...where the rest of the Black Series figures were still not out on display.

I'm not sure what the stocking/set up procedures are, but that it really didn't seem to make much sense, especially considering the fact that their toy section has a giant Star Wars display placard with almost nothing on the pegs.

...but as you might expect, there was an overflow of Angry Birds products sitting there that continue to not sell

Targets in Minnesota are getting wave 1 as of 8/12/13.

And they're flying off the shelves at light speed. At least at the Targets that I've hit over the past few days.

I swore I wasn't going to collect this line, but I'd probably pick up Luke and the Sandtrooper *IF* I saw them...

Thats is where i'm getting all my figures and surprisingly enough my target is doing a good job at restocking them.

I just found all four figures at my local Target in Phoenix, AZ. Sadly I passed up two of them, Darth Maul and R2. Luke and Sandtrooper are just way too cool. Darth Maul I really wanted but the paint jobs on both faces were off, I'm hoping I'll find a better one. And R2, I'm just not that impressed after reading the reviews and seeing the pics. First thing I did when I opened up my Sandtrooper is strip him of his Tatooine gear to make him a basic trooper. He's perfect both ways! Not sure where this line is going or how long it will be around, but I want more!

hahaha, a stripped down sandtrooper is not a stormtrooper.....they are still different

Spotted these in target outside Williamsport PA. I've got a set so maybe someone close could grab em

Well many of my local Targets that I went to today have been pretty much empty.
Had a couple of the employees look up the DPCI, but even the surrounding ones had either 0 or MAYBE one or 2 on the shelf (and the maybe part we all know pretty much means "nope").

I've been hearing that people have been starting to find stuff at WM...so off I go to try!

According to that Target link above, the Target by me has them in stock. I swung by and they weren't on display, and I didn't know the DCPI so I left. There aren't any pegs labeled for the Black Series.
Went to the nearest K-Mart and they had one full set so I got the Sandtrooper there. I know it's very early in this series, but you can't buy what isn't out, so Target's loss is K-Mart's gain.

the black series arent pegged, they are loose on the shelf, so look for a shelf tag

Yeah every Target I've been too has them labeled on the shelf below. Check to be sure because most times there IS something else in its place if there is no stock on the shelf.

Hit another Target today on a non-toy errand, but everything is in limited quantities.
No BS 3 3/4" or 6" on the shelves. The 6" line has a tag, but the smaller figures don't. Even the mission series and legends are scarce here.
So much for so many collectors NOT buying The Black Series, MS, and Legends.

Unfortunately i believe a lot of people are cleaning them out to scalp on ebay. And i believe reports are that most stores have only been getting one case or if you are like my local store, they are not carrying them at all.

The tags for TVC 3.75" are TBS 3.75". They didn't change DPCIs this time around.
if the website says Limited Quantity, there's 1 in the store...somewhere.

Can someone please explain this to me:

I have twice checked the DPCI # for items at Target (Black series and Rise of Vader set), went in, and saw that they were not on the pegs. Luckily, the woman at customer service who is willing to call to the back room was there both times and I got my stuff (there is another one who just says the old "everything we have is out" line).

On Thursday, I noticed that Target had cleared out a large portion of their toy section like it was about to be reset. When I came back the next day, however, all they had done was fill the pegs in the Star Wars section with all the 'Angry Birds' items from one of the shelves (ironically labeled 'HOT TOY) that weren't selling.

Why are they keeping Star Wars toys off the shelves? They have it in the back room--I've seen it. Is this some kind of stocking rule I don't know about?

Sounds like they're just way behind in their reset. The stuff is still in back because it hasn't been tied to the sales floor location yet.

Well I stopped back in the Target I mentioned last week. They do have a tag on the shelf for Star Wars 6 inch assorted which I guess will be the Black Series when they bring them out. There are two pegs for Vintage $9.99 which I guess someone posted earlier will be the Black Series 3.75 inch figures. And the other pegs are labeled Mission Series and Saga Legends, so it would seem that they will carry everything. The other items such as Angry Birds plush and the Rise of Vader sets have tags on the shelves as well. Everything I've mentioned is there except for the Black Series items.

The Target that I frequent has labels for the Black Series, but has yet to get any stock. I am friendly with the morning crew there and they told me they are still waiting for inventory.

I found the three I wanted (sorry R2, you're not worth 20 bucks) at Target. I was checking the store about every night (it's on my way home). The first time I saw them they had Luke and R2 (bought Luke), and R2 stuck around for a couple days. Second time they had Luke and Maul (bought Maul), and the third time they had the Sandtrooper and another R2 (bought Sandy). I never saw them have more than 2 of the 6" figures out at a time. I always scanned them to see if there were more in the stockroom but there never were. So either they've gotten several cases and I've been lucky in being able to find the ones I want, or they've only gotten 2 or 3 cases total and they don't out full cases all at once.

Either way, Target seems to be the best place to find these so far.

I couldn't look Hasbro in the eye as I gave them $20 for that sloppy artoo. Hopefully it's not as shoddy as I've been hearing. Now...about that X-wing...

Case pack is 4, so it is possible that the case is put out and someone bought 1 or 2... watching the local stores with the link to the DPCI (087-06-1941) there seems to be a pretty steady flow into the stores once they sell out. My closest store went from in stock to out of stock (and into my car!) after 3 days it was in stock again...

Target seems to have them, just coming in 4 at a time...

If you cannot remember the DPCI, remember this... all star wars in the toy section start with 087-06... try to remember the year 1941!

Here's the link again to check if anyone needs... Target Mobile : Expect More Pay Less

You kids today with your new fangled fancy gadgets. Nothing beats a pen and paper, or an abacus for that matter.

I was a little late to the game on these. I don't collect "modern" figures (this is my first one!), but I saw a few of these on Ebay a couple days ago and they caught my eye, so I've been doing a little reading on the Black series line here and wanted to see one in person.

Anyway, I stopped by the Target today in Green Bay (Ashwaubenon), WI, and got the very last 6" X-Wing Luke; they were out of stock already on the others. I'm going to swing by the local TRU and Walmart later today, I'll post in the appropriate threads on those.

I've seen the tags for these at 3 different Targets but have yet to see an actual figure. Stockrooms are all empty as well (according to the price checker machine)

I have only seen the actual figures at TRU thus far

dont bother going to walmart, they dont carry the 6" series, also, most stores seem to be getting in 1 case at a time so pickings will be slim

Yeah, I just got back, oh well. Both the local walmart & TRU had nothing in the 3.75 line either. I guess I'll consider myself lucky to get the Luke X-wing pilot, its the one I wanted the most, and it was pretty cool I got the last one. B)
