Anyone here collect Super Mario? My Mom got me into Mario/Nintendo at a young age. Sadly she passed when I was 6, so its one of the few memories I have of her. I have the old Applause figures from 1989, to the new figures from Jakks Pacific. I wish they made more SH Figuarts figures though.

Here is my collection

Here are some recent pickups

I picked up these cartoon animation cels off Etsy of all places. Very cool to own these.

I started out with the Acorn Plains playset. I've since amassed a nice collection of playsets and figurines. I'm also into the Hot Wheels Mario Kart stuff as well. Fun to collect. :)

Picked up a few new figures over the weekend - 2 Paragoombas and decided to grab Nabbit as well. All are 2.5" scale.

I had my eye on that large 12" electronic "It's-A-Me Mario" doll/figure at Target. It started out as $40. It's been $35 online for a while even though it is still $40 in the store. Today one of my local Targets had it on clearance for $15.

This one

Now if only I can manage to one day take that large Mario that's hanging on a pole in the video game section. LOL! 😅
I was tempted to ask someone about it, but if you examine it closely there is a sticker that says property of Nintendo and not to remove unless authorized or something to that effect. I'll bet some lucky employee will get it one day if they ever decide to remodel the video game section of Target.

Also, I thought I'd mention that Five Below has one of the waves of 2.5" figures with an accessory. It's the wave with Donkey Kong.

Happy Mario Day! Nintendo officially dubbed March 10th (Mar10) as Mario Day. I bought this book a few weeks ago.

I found Daisy and Rosalina 2.5" figures this past week on two different Walmart trips. Coming off ankle surgery I thought I would have a hard time finding them. I got lucky as I'm just starting to walk, and with Rosalina they had 2 left and I grabbed the last Daisy.

I found Daisy at Gamestop, but havent't found Rosalina yet.

Target has some good Super Mario stuff on sale.

This Mariokart Hot Wheels set is on sale as well.

On a related note, I came across this Hot Wheels set at Best Buy. Never even knew about it until I saw it on the shelf. I added it to me growing Mario Kart collection.

Where were these playsets when I was a kid? Back then I used whatever I could find to make my own Mario levels. I used drinking cups for warp pipes. Now that I think about it, its probably why my drinks tasted funny.. :cautious:

Found Cat Peach, Boom-Boom and a third Paragoomba. I was looking for the new Jazwares ships and walked into the Hot Wheels section and they had a fresh case. I was a bit surprised to see as I picked up my first Paragoomba back in mid-January. I now have 2 to go with the custom red variant I did from SMB3. Looks like the next two 4 inch waves seem to be repacks, so things are going to be a bit slow.

Some new stuff finally arrived. The 3 playsets came in from Gamestop's website, and I found Baby Mario today at Target. All 2.5" scale.

Some of the playsets look pretty neat hence scenes from the game, and that Mushroom house is as well could also double as a Smurf dwelling.

Found the newest 4 inch wave at Macy's of all places. The only new one in this wave is the green Koopa Troopa. Mario and Yoshi are redesigned and have better articulation. I also found a 2.5 inch Yoshi at Walgreens, I was shocked I didn't own one.

Here's a look at the redesigned Mario from Jakks Pacific for anyone curious (middle). The figure on the left is one of the earlier desgins, the one on the right is from SH Figuarts.

I managed to find the Koopalings set last night at Gamestop. The retail price was $24.99 but it was on sale for $13! I have all of the Koopalings, minus Iggy because I missed out on him on the initial release, he is going for over $100 on ebay! So this was a great score for me. Not only that, now I have completed the Koopaling family in 2.5 inch scale! Hoping they finish out the Koopalings in 4 inch scale next.

I ended up buying Lemmy (4 inch figure) again. This version was released under the "Jakks Gold" line where figures come with more accessories. I bought him as he comes with his signature circus ball, oddly the first release didn't include it.

I managed to nab Yellow Toad from wave 30 on ebay for retail price (with free shipping). A lot of places here are stuck on waves 26-28, and I managed to find wave 29 at Macy's last week of all places.

In this wave, the other figures are Wendy Koopa, Ice Mario (redesigned, better articulation), Red Shy Guy (no propeller) and Goomba.

Found the redesigned Ice Mario and Shy Guy at Barnes & Noble today. Missed out on Wendy Koopa.

36 years old and NOT ashamed haha. I went to one McDonald's and asked if they had the Mario movie toys available for purchase. I was given Toad, and on the way home I thought to myself if there were others available for purchase. I stopped in a second McDonald's and asked what they had. The employee showed me the display and said they had Mario (pipe), Luigi and Peach, which I purchased. Four more to go.

Found Wendy Koopa this morning at Barnes & Noble! There have been reports of this wave showing up there, and I've been checking B&N constantly. I found a few other figures from the same wave there just after Christmas.

I went in and didn't see anything initally. I was moving some Mario Kart Hot Wheels around and saw the wand at the end of the packaging and instantly knew. Pretty excited I got her because I checked 3 Targets prior for Micro Galaxy Squadron wave 2 and came up empty. My Targets are just getting wave 29. Wendy is in wave 30 so it may be some time before they get the next wave in.

Along with Super Mario toys I also collect the Hot Wheels Mariokart items. I found this at Ross today, though I already had it when Target put them on sale one time.
$14.99

The new Mario movie figures should be coming out this Sunday, however some people have been finding them at Macy's. They are street dated at Target and I believe Walmart for the 26th. Hoping to find them this weekend.

Meanwhile I managed to get a Dr. Mario 2.5" figure for a good price.

I say today was pretty successful! I visited multiple stores, both Walmarts and Targets, and only 1 Walmart had a few kart figures out.

I got to my closest Walmart a little after they opened and got lucky. I saw someone I went to high school with who works there, so he got me Mario, Bowser, and the 4 kart figures from the back. The next Walmart, nothing. I got to Target right before they opened. After one employee was done helping someone, he asked me if I was looking for anything. He was able to get me Luigi, Toad and Peach. The next Target I went to another employee asked if I needed help and he got me the plumber's van. I had 3 employees at 3 different stores help me, that never happens haha.

The only things I didn't see are the Hot Wheels plumber's van and Mario Kart movie kart.

Cat Toad arrived from BBTS a few weeks ago. This wave hasn't hit stores yet (at least in my area) and is the only new figure in that wave. I'm eagerly waiting for the next wave. The new figures in the next wave are Fire Mario (technically new, its redesigned), Builder Luigi and Dry Bones (no wings). I also found the Hot Wheels Mario movie kart yesterday. I just need the Hot Wheels Plumber's Van now.

Organized my Mario collection over the weekend. I ordered more bookcases from Ikea. These ones are wider than the previous ones I had up. I can add shelves to them, whereas the other ones I couldn't. I moved the smaller bookcases into my office, replacing the old brown ones I took from my Dad's house when I moved.

Found the new Monty Mole and Buzzy Beetle 2.5" figures over the weekend!

Finally found the Hot Wheels Mario movie Plumber Van! I am now caught up on Mario movie items until wave 2.

A few more pickups this past week, just in time for my birthday (yesterday).

I got the new 2.5" Yoshi with better articulation. If positioned right, Baby Mario can be placed on his back. I also grabbed Mario as it comes with a clear stand, so it looks like he is jumping out of a pipe.

This last piece came in from ebay a few days before my birthday. I never heard about this so it was pretty cool to find. It's Lou Albano as Mario acting as a DJ and plays songs from the 50s and 60s. It has sound effects from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and also has the DIC logo (the company that produced the show). The Mario parts are on youtube, but I wanted to own the cassette (probably the last one I'll buy too lol).

Super Mario Bros. Favorite Mushroom Party Hits!!!
