I’m all for them re releasing Imperial Stormtroopers every few years for army building purposes but how do Rogue One Stormtroopers differ from OT Stormtroopers?

Again I agree with @MovesLikeJabba - how are they different? Is the mold more hi-def precise than it was in 2013/14?
Hopefully it was meant as dirty stormtroopers from Mandalorian

Interested to see how this turns out. I too would like a new sculpt. It could just be the same figure though, with new accessories ala the Hot Toys Jedha Patrol Stormtrooper.
Not sure mate? I know there was a rumour of an upcoming Carbonized Stormtrooper and wondered if it was possibly this?
Perhaps it will be the Jedha Patrol Stormtrooper? They are similar to the Sandtroopers, but the packs are different.

Uh! Nice. But still it would do them good to take a new look at those legs.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a re-pack of the existing Stormtrooper, but labeled differently to not seem like a direct re-pack. While I would of course embrace some upgrades and re-tooling, it also has been hard to find clean basic Stormtroopers for a while now...so I think it's good either way.
Hopefully not a repack. Hoping for a completely new sculpt as the current/old Stormtrooper does not look good at all.

I believe the Stormtroopers in Rogue One did not have holsters. I just watched the Jedha ambush and I didn't see any.

Well, to be fair, the old Stormtrooper could use a different helmet sculpt. Compare it, for instance, to the Mimban Stormtrooper.

Is there much difference between regular Stormtroopers and the Mimban Stormtroopers? Apart from the peaked forehead helmet and cape.
As far as I know, no. Besides the additional forehead armor (inspired by actual World War I Imperial German soldiers, especially snipers) and the cape, I think they're just mega-dirty Stormtroopers.

The helmet has some subtle differences, I believe. Also the armor at the ankles flares out a bit more. And the obvious difference is no holster.
Not really sure if I'll be in for any of these, because I already have 12 of the current OT trooper.
I thought he was talking about in the movie, not the figure.
As for the figure(s):
The Mimban Stormy's helmet is more detailed, the nose piece ("frowny mouth" bit) is smaller and the eyeholes are closer together.

Helmets are symmetrical (not that the BS6 OT TK helmets really captured the asymmetry) and have indented tube stripes
Shoulder straps insert into raised tab slots at the top of the chest armor
Shoulder & bicep armor is mirrored on each side
Forearms have a smaller cover strip on top of a larger cover strip (the raised ridge)
Chest and back armor are connected by black extension pieces
Back armor has an indentation at the top of the box wall, o-cog has spines, the bars have little lines at the bottom
Ab armor buttons and plates are different than OT TKs
Kidney armor (lower back) center is covered by a rectangular plate
No holster on belt
Thermal Detonator (backside of belt) has a different style of control pad vs OT TKs
Undersuit is ribbed at junctions (like the FO TKs)
That's off the top of my head. Not sure if Hasbro will catch all the little details but they do vary enough in some places to warrant a new mold. I guess we'll see!

This would be amazing. They could also make a Jyn in Imperial disguise with an updated head sclupt that doesn’t look like crap.

Seeing images of the new Stormtrooper Commander, I don't think there will be a new sculpt for this one, unfortunately.

One can always hope, plus some speculation in regards to the difference.
I am way pumped about this. I’m an OT guy. Hate the sequels. Kinda meh on the prequels. I enjoy Rogue One ok for what it is.
But if there’s one thing Disney got right, it has been the redesign of the stormtrooper. The new suit and helmet are perfect. I even love the little flashlight attachment on the E-11.
I’m gonna buy so many of these. Assuming I can find them...

Looks interesting. SHFs new version is too expensive to army build. The model kit is great but the neck issue plagues it. I may army build this one.
I know it's the 'mando' version but it definitely takes after ESB stormtroopers.

Correction - it's the Rogue One/Mandalorian version - which they say is the definitive version now. Looks like no ANH or ESB versions in the near future.
I'm aware it's the mando version. I was saying it can pass for a ESB stand in. ANH have the raised brows and ROTJ has that oddly shaped helmet.
