Please use this thread to discuss the Black Series 6" Stormtooper number 48, I believe this one is just a reissue of the first version. Good chance to army build.

Definitely good opportunity. I never saw the 40th version, although I did get one of the orange box release from way back when. I've gotten one so far and I'm hoping for another 6 or 8 more. Nothing yet though, there have been no restocks since FF in my area.

I was lucky and came across many Stormtroopers on Force Friday and yesterday. Bought five for myself to bring my loose squad to 10 (40th Anniversary x5, #48 x5). I find the 40th Anniversary version and this version are a bit shinier than the orange line Stormtrooper, so I may part with the few I have.

How are the hands on these new Stormtroopers. Are they are stiff as the old 2013 Stormtroopers or did they make them softer ? They haven't showed up in stores around here, yet. Never saw any of the 40th figures except those diecast figures. My old Stormtroopers, nearly all of them are starting to split on the left hands where the fingers roll back.

They are the same as the old ones, you have to bend the fingers open to grip the barrel of the gun. The only difference that I can see is that the arms, legs and head are made from a more glossy material that doesn't seem as porous as the old stuff. Hopefully that means he won't turn yellow if you look at him wrong like the old ones did.

Thanks to this guy, I now have three Stormtroopers. Not quite a massive army, but it'll do for now.

I definitely would have preferred this guy as a repack in wave 2 over AT-AT Driver. Snowtrooper, ok. Kylo I'm also fine with. I never got the appeal of the AT-AT Driver without an AT-AT.

Oh well, I'm sure we'll see Imperial Stormtroopers in next year's Han Solo film. Perhaps he'll get another repack then.

I know this question probably has been answered a bunch a times, but what is the best way to display these guys while taking the yellowing into account? Just keep them away from light?

I have several of the orange box figures, and none of them have turned yellow.

More likely in the mix for the Luke Centerpiece 'add-on' figure. Which begs the question, who was the dumb AT-AT commander that let one of his drivers leave his post? I'm pretty sure the bridge crews of those other fallen AT-AT's perished. :D

One of the AT-AT drivers was thrown clear.... wasn't wearing his seat belt.... saved his life...

He was forever immortalized by Hasbro as an action figure...

I grabbed one of these on impulse when I bought my Jedi Master Luke. Now I've two!

I had my two dozen orange box Stormtroopers proudly displayed in formation for a couple years; the arms and legs are now very slightly yellowed, and they were not in direct sunlight.

My original one from when they first came out is verly slightly yellowed. I have 2 that are pretty noticable but they were a gift from a friend who has a smoker in the house and who knows how he displayed them.

The rest were slowy picked up from release to right before the 40th one came out.

So it varies. The new ones have the gloss to them that should fair tremendously better

I can neither confirm nor deny that I (MAY) have a problem walking away from Stormtroopers.

I realised the other day that I just don't really see this guy anywhere. Is this a UK thing, or did he come and go really quickly everywhere?

I saw one or two of these in a single Best Buy while visiting relatives. It also had several Thrawns and others from that wave. I got the distinct impression they were only left because nobody even realized Best Buy sold Star Wars figures; I certainly had no clue. I was there to buy a flash drive.

Mildly regret not picking a Stormtrooper up now, though.

Haha, it's tough when you have the army building bug. I was that way with First Order Stormtroopers. I was up to 21 when I decided it was getting out of hand and stopped buying them (I also sold a few and brought the squad down to 10 or 11).

Missing out on the first OT Stormtrooper release I was really excited when I saw it was being re-released in the 40th Anniversary line and red box line. I think I bought 5 40th (leaving 1 carded of course) and 6 red box. B)

I'm up to 14 loose. Most of those have been orange box. A couple red box, and a couple loose through a deal here. I'm up to three on the 40th card, and I have one boxed that I found at a discount store.

I often used to see the odd one knocking about in branches of Smyths, but since they started reducing stuff in the last couple of weeks, they've probably all been hoovered up now.

My orange box Stormy has yellowed really bad over time, I'm gonna have to get a newer version to replace itit!
