I have so many Stormtroopers from the first time they came out but I'll still totally buy one on that cardback

Will this be a repack of the first Black Series Stormtrooper, #09?
An improved helmet rather than the Sandtrooper bucket would be welcome. Unlikely though.
I always regretted not army building these the first time around, will gladly buy a few of these.
I can understand how many will disagree with me, but I kind of hope that "The Black Series" will go with this style packaging in 2018 and beyond.

Well I agree with you.I always loved the vintage card back.I doubt they will stick with this style packaging though we have ESB and ROTJ,anniversarys coming up. I will probabl get only one of the 40th Stormtrooper just because of the novelty.

They are going back to the boxes after the 40th run of 12. they said so in the round table interview. They also said that the new figures from the 40th set will also be coming boxed in the future.
It looks like they may have went with the shinier plastic on the whole body this time around, so hopefully that will eliminate the premature discoloring of his head and limbs. I just wish they would have upsized the head from that 3.75" Rogue One Stormtrooper for this release, it had a much more accurate design.
I plan on picking up at least one of these if I see one. I NEVER once saw the first release at retail...ordered the one I have from Amazon.

I'd buy a couple if I can get them cheap enough.
Would like to see the first 21 released in the vintage packaging. Hope they don't end with the first 12, that would be a mistake.

It would be cool since they are getting close. It'd be weird having the gonk droid on its own. Perhaps make it an online retailer exclusive or pack it in with the Death Star Droid and R5-D4 is some sort of vintage throwback three pack. Greedo would just be a repack. I'd really love Hammerhead, Ponda Baba, and Snaggletooth. 6" line is desperately in need of more aliens.
Yeah, the 6" Stormtrooper is an awful figure with its inhuman proportions and that terrible helmet sculpt. If Hasbro had at least replaced the helmet with a new, more accurate sculpt, then I would consider buying this.
I really think that they will carry forward Han and R2, and each other figure will be 1x per case. The Jawa and the DSC will come in the boxes later on, so Hasbro will see that as the double for each of those. I hope they go 2x DSC and 2x Jawa with no carry forwards, but with the wy they did wave 1 I won't be surprised if wave 2 is just as bad. I hope the stormtrooper finds its way into futire cases as well. That should be in regualr rotation as well.

They need to update it. I'm thinking if the Han Solo film features them they will release an all new sculpt and hopefully one taking after the Rogue One troopers. I thought the Rogue One Stromtroopers simply looked more refined and superior to the original OT troopers.
I find it weird how the Rogue One Stormtroopers did not have holsters and seeing that Rogue One happens right before ANH, why suddenly they all get equipped with holsters?
As for this Stormtrooper, I don't think I'll get it. I army built the Han in Stormtrooper disguise (cause they were on sale at Walmart for C$10) and I'm quite happy with those, especially cause they came with the neck piece too. The helmets sat a little high but I just cut off the top of Han's head so the helmets sit lower.

Stormtroopers should honestly be shipped to retail heavily in some manner. They'd sell a lot of them if there were always a couple on the shelf, I'm sure there are tons of collectors who would just grab another one while at Target if there was nothing else.
Hoping we get a 3rd wave of 40th that is just the top desired ones, won't happen...
I was/am looking forward to getting some of the new all gloss versions of this guy. Maybe I'm not a "true fan" but the helmet works for me, always was happy when getting a new Stormtrooper. Sadly this guy will be saught after and command a premium... Hasbro really isnt helping much with the desireable rereleases as they are already going for a premium, and even after the wide release at one per case I don't see it improving.

Unfortunately, I re-checked approximately 5 to 10 minutes later and it was already out. I did get an order placed though. Hopefully, Amazon restocks quickly in the days ahead.

There is an EP4 Stormtrooper listed in Gamestop's system for 9/1, Force Friday. So apparently yes.
This is a good figure to have saturated everywhere. They will probably still sell very well but having tons Stormtroopers out there is good.

The one thing I really hated was that they didn't give him that neck piece so that it covers the joint. That's why I only have 1 of the original Ep4 Stormtroopers. I army built the Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise instead.

This bothers me none, it's just so petty to me. Plus it allows you to give the Battlefront Shocktrooper a backpack, get a custom jetpack, have clean Sandtroopers, etc. Just would rather have the option than have a 3mm hole plugged.
Hope to catch this guy on Amazon or just may wait for the FF release. Got 1 from my case but want another 3. I don't mind having 2 extra sets of Han and Luke Stormies but I'd rather phase them out since the Stormtrooper is available again. I got a friend who needs a set of them anyway.

Forgot to add, I hate that neckpiece. It doesn't sit on well, gets in the way, and is just more hassle thsn it's worth. Having it sculpted on Luke was a better choice.
Yeah, that would be better, but the way it was done on Han was better than not having it. Plus, on Han, the head kept it down, but I get what you mean by it gets in the way.

Oh good. It's not just me. I've been trying off and on for two hours to purchase one. I can add it to the cart, but as soon as I select my shipping address, it says out of stock. Yet when you bring up the listing, it says Reserve yours now from Amazon, expected in stock June 4th.
