Jedi temple Archieve have poste that we'll be seeing a Ep4 Stormtrooper figure in an upcoming Black Series wave. Most likely a reissue figure.

Any thoughts on this item?

Hopefully, it is a new sculpt or better kitbash than the earlier Black Series stormie.

I don't like removable helmets on stormtroopers because they usually put a clone head underneath it. Now, if they give us a non-clone head, then that would be ok.

A new or kitbashed trooper would be great, but I think it will be a straight repack of the wave 2 stormtrooper. All in all I'm glad to see this repacked as opposed to another ROTS Ani or Obi repack.

Hoping this isn't going to be a repack of the crummy butchered Sandtrooper from TBS 2013... for a TVC Stormtrooper or a new kitbash, I'm all game. I've yet to get two identical Stormtroopers for army-building. (well, I had two at one point but someone butchered the second.)

If a clone head bothers you that much, just glue the helmet on... problem solved.

Another one? Hasbro has a weird thing for stormtroopers. The tvc one was good enough for me.

Hasbro has a weird thing for clone troopers; just release a white one with a pack of crayola markers and be done with it.

I'm a little surprised they're trying again after the TBS Stormtrooper from 2013, but I would easily take a reissue of the TVC one in a heartbeat - I've never properly army-built Stormtroopers the way a lot of folks do so it'd be a great opportunity for me. I imagine they still sell well.

It's time for an all-new Stormtrooper. I Dremeled the head of the Legends figure to fit on the TVC Stormtrooper body, and it looks fantastic. But I'd like to see Hasbro finally return to the drawing board for this guy.

It's because they keep changing the sculpt every two minutes. Much like the Clones should have just stuck with TVC version, likewise so should the Stormtroopers stick with their TVC version.

Even if those sculpts aren't perfect sticking with it is far less infuriating than releasing new versions every year.

The legends one rivals TVC for me. That head is great and so is your custom!

Thank you for the kind words. If the upcoming Mission Series Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise has a quality helmet like the Legends Stormtrooper, you could probably fit it over the VC Stormtrooper head with no custom work necessary. Fingers crossed!

More than likely, it's an all new sculpt so that they could cut back on articulation. Otherwise, the last SA stormy would have been just fine!

It will be a repack of the so called "Stormtrooper" we got in wave 2. Just a stripped down Sandtrooper body with bad paint apps.

Could indeed be a repack of TBS Stormtrooper. As we're getting a carry forward Wampa attack Luke and most other TBS waves included 2 repacks it would make sense.

For the love of all things holy, if this is what they do, I hope they at LEAST get the eyes and mouth stamps properly aligned this time. Even with the Sandtrooper traits carried over (long neck post for the pauldron and hole in the back for the backpack), it would've still been a decent figure if not for the horrible paint apps. Here's proof of what paint apps can do to help or hurt identical figures:

I'm fine with this figure. I found one from wave 3 the other day and the paint Job was a lot better than some of the earlier ones. Right now, I'm trying to replace my Legacy stormies because I don't like the clone head, so having this figure available is helping me do that. Once the TFA stuff hits, IÄm sure the new TFA stormtrooper(s?) will take precedents over the OT ones, so I want to stock up now.

I use the Saga Legends head on a TVC or Blackseries Endor Stormtrooper(ones with removable helmet as the peg is perfect for easy custom upgrades). I plan a total of 10-15 eventually.
