I'm pleased to bring the world of Star Wars tattoos to collectors and aficionados at Celebration Europe, taking place this coming weekend (July 13 – 15) in London, England at the ExCel Center.

The Star Wars tattoo exhibit located in the Platinum Suite (Level 2 of the ExCel Center) is a unique attraction where people can view Star Wars art created by some of the finest tattoo artists in England. Here too will also be where collectors can purchase one of the most limited convention exclusives available: The “I love my Star Wars Tattoo” shirt. Licensed by LucasFilm and limited to 250 pieces worldwide (150 for Celebration IV and 100 for Celebration Europe), this shirt is a must have for those with Star Wars tattoos, those planning to get one and those who just like limited collectibles! The “I Love” shirt features a sweeping old school tattoo design surrounding a unique sacred heart Death Star montage and was designed by renowned tattoo artist Hannah Aitchison, star of Kat Von D’s upcoming new reality tattoo show, LA Ink! Don’t miss your chance to pick up one of the hottest collectibles from Celebration!

The exhibit will also be the registration point for Star Wars tattoo enthusiasts to enter their Star Wars tattoos into the competition. Tattoos will be entered into one of 4 categories:

Small/Medium Colour
Large Colour
Small/Medium Black & Grey
Large Black & Grey

The tattoo competition will be taking place on Saturday at 3:30pm on the Platinum Stage. Those interested in registering for the competition must register their tattoos before 1:30 PM on Saturday. No entries will be taken after that point.

Also in the Platinum Suite will be the Illustrated Trooper, a combined art fusion event where several tattoo artists will work on separate pieces of armor to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art! The artists will be working on the Trooper all of Friday and Saturday with a final unveiling set for Sunday afternoon.

Also be sure to check out my Star Wars tattoo collecting panel discussion taking place in the Collector Panel room in the South Gallery on Saturday morning at 11:30am!

From Star Wars Dot Com:
Star Wars collecting takes many forms. Collections can be large or small, made up of action figures, posters, prototypes or props -- but in the end, it's all just stuff. Stuff that collectors can eventually liquidate, should they so desire. Venture with us into a realm of Star Wars collecting that involves ultimate dedication -- the hardcore world of collecting Star Wars tattoos. Shane Turgeon, author of The Force in the Flesh, the recently published coffee table book all about the art of Star Wars tattoos, will lead the discussion, complete with beautiful tattoo illustrations.

Thanks to everyone who came out to make the tattoo track the great success that it was!

I'm very sorry that i was unable to bring books over to sell. I had every intention to do so but because of various issues, it just didn't work out.

The comp and the talk were both great - and there was a Tommy Lee impersonator up there in the comp for an added bonus.

Get rid of the gimp who was introducing the comp though if possible for the future. His best 2 lines though 'did it go septic' to a girl who entered and in response to a branding 'this is somebody preparing to get a tat'. Jesus if that's what you have to do nowadays to get a tattoo I'm never having another.

Pics looks great Paul! Thanks for posting them! It was my pleasure to bring the event over to Europe and i hope we can do it again. I got your order as well...i hope to send out the book tomorrow.

Anyone wishing to get the book can do so at www.theforceintheflesh.com or meet up with us at the San Diego Comic Con next week.

And Malc, i had no control over the MC of the show. He was a helluva nice guy but not too well versed in SW or tattoos for a guy MCing an event like that. Glad you enjoyed the panel and event tho!

I didn't make it to the Tattoo event but was at the panel and have to say it was one of the most interesting of all the panels. Thanks for organising it and I will probably pick your book up at a later date too.
