I have several pin display cases and was wondering how many out there have Star Wars pin collections displayed.

I've got many pins both vintage and modern and some Disney mixed in as well. Currently, I'm looking for the Hard Rock Star Wars pin that was available during the 2nd Star Wars Celebration event.....

I have some pin sets but nothing that I collect on a regular basis. I do try to pick up fundraiser pins whenever possible. I still need the DCSWCC Yoda pin, come to think of it.

I don't have anything on display, either. They're all stored away right now.

Although this picture is a couple years old, I'm still using the same corkboard (although I am running out of room with all the disney pins)

I've got two extras of this Star Tours one that I'd love to trade or will sell for $10 each plus exact shipping. PM me if you're interested.

I have a few dozen Star Wars pins (almost exclusively Disney) which I display on a framed corkboard. It's actually a backboard for my unused dartboard so now both are filled with pins.

I have some miscellaneous ones like the gold rebel logo, Imperial logo, Mandalore skull, Fett chest symbol (looks like wheat?), and SW Celebration I pins. I also have some Disney World character pins (Vader, Maul, Jango, Boba, Stormie). If anyone wants the Disney pins, PM me, as they are for sale.

I love that Rebo Band pin, Stewbacca. Very cool and HUGE.

I do have that Fett pin, thanks for asking. I don't have the Yoda one from that same site, though....I totally missed out when that was available.

I don't buy too many of the Disney pins, but I have what I like that they made....although, I will likely splurge on Disney Yoda, Disney Fetts, Disney Grievous, and Disney Chewie pins.

I really need to post my pin collection since I started the thread.

I am currently looking for the over-sized C3 exclusive Fett Bantha Skull. I think they sold for $50-$75. I bought the 30th Anniversary logo pin then and passed on the Fett skull and crest.

Is that a pin? I thought that was the background on the cork board.

My bad....I didn't even notice that....time to check the prescription on me glasses.

Anyone selling any of the SWC7 character pins? I went but was only able to get 20 of the 45 pins. Would love to find the ones I'm missing (including all of the presale sets and the mystery boxed pins). Christopher Lee is one of my fave artists and all of these pins were designed from his art.

I have a few Millennium Falcon pins in my collection. Mostly Disney Pins but my favourites in my collection are the more bizarre concert pins that you see every now and then.

CK5 pin by Kingpin designs.

I picked up this Pinpocolypse badge today. It's tiny, but a worthy addition to my collection.

Question - were there official pins for Celebration 2 and Celebration 3? If so, does anyone have pictures of them?

I've never been a pin collector, but after picking up a couple in Anaheim I've decided to go back and try to get one pin from each of the Celebrations I've attended. I have IV and V, and of course Anaheim, but I still need II, III, and CE2.

I've attended 4 SWW at Disney in Orlando dating back all the way to 2000 and have the official logo pins from each trip. I think my favorite one is from 2007 coinciding with the New Hope 30th anniversary. Pretty cool!

Looking for the IG-88 pin from this year's 2015 Star Wars Celebration pin collection. It was part of the blind box sets. Please PM me if you have one for sale.

For the experts here: are there any metal pins with the Imperial logo that are not larger than 1cm-1.5cm (about half an inch)?

What about non official pins? I really enjoy the Phish pins that were made for various live concerts. I missed out on a couple of really awesome ones last year.

One was a "Steal Your Face" pin based on the Greatful Dead album and the other was a really nice Bassnecter pin. Alas, I dithered and they were snapped up.

Another necro post.

I recently bought this rather nice Kessel Run pin. (Can't add photos for some reason).

Tracking down one of the Half Marathon medals is proving to be a little trickier.

Do any of you every wear/display your pins at conventions? I don't have an extensize Star Wars pin collection, but I do have some nice, limited edition gems. I was thinking about getting a Star Wars messanger bag and putting some of the pins on the carrying strap for when I go to Celebration or Comic-Con.

I was wondering whether any of you have done this and what your experiences have been. If I were to do this, I probably wouldn't include pins that would be difficult and expensive to replace - like the CIII Hard Rock Café pin - as much as I'd love to. With the size of the crowds at such conventions these days, I'd be too worried that I'd lose a pin(s) either accidentally, or through theft.

I will need to post a pic of my small collection one of these days soon.

Did anyone pick up the HAN SOLO Limited Edition pin set from DisneyStore.com when it was for sale (gone now)?
If so, can you post a pic of the Falcon cockpit pin? Does it open up?

Disney does sell pin backs that apparently lock the pin into place so that may help secure them to your bag.

I think the gems should just stay at home. Too much of a risk with damaging the pins by dropping your bags or bumping into folks on the crowded floor.

Theft would be a concern but someone would have to be pretty slick to snatch a secured pin from your bag.

For die-hard pin collectors who just want to show off their pins, the locking pinbacks are a must.
Over the week prior to SWCO, at both the con and TMK, DHS, and Epcot, my daughter found three
pins on the ground which must have fallen off of someone's lanyards. Thankfully we didn't lose any.

The rubber pinbacks are inadequate for wearing around casually.

(EDIT) the locking backs are available at all the pin trading spots, and use a hex-wrench
to crank down a large plug onto the back of the pin. (Allen wrench included)

Are the locking pin backs "universal"? i.e. do they only work on Disney pins, or would they work on other line as well?

Well, I've only ever seen the locking backs used with DISNEY pins, but im sure they'd lock onto any pin which has a post which fits into the locking plug.
