Hasbro is branching out and doing a selfie series in the various 6” lines they produce where you could have a headsculpt with your own likeness put on the them. The toys include - Star Wars Black Series, GI-Joe Classified, Power Rangers Lightning Collection, Ghostbusters Plasma Collection and Marvel Legends.

Each one was listed with a price of $60 each.

I believe it went live and they pulled it down. Anyone interested in this?

Posted about these here last night in the GD thread: https://forum.rebelscum.com/threads...cussion-thread.1093941/page-583#post-20506720

From the Hasbro Pulse Dev website before it got locked down. These are genuine. The cost was $59.99.

This actually looks cool. I'd do a mandalorian body and hope it comes with a helmet (to pose holding not cover my moneymaker of course)

I have some bad luck. First I buy a 3D printed throne, then they release one with the Emperor. I made a Season 2 Luke from The Mandalorian, and that was just announced as a pipeline reveal. Now, a few months ago I used the My Face on a Figure website for this same reason, and Hasbro reveals this.

In all seriousness, I will most likely get one of myself on a pilot's body again. The one from My Face on a figure, the head seems to be a bit bigger than a standard BS figure - a helmet won't even fit on the head. In the promo pics here, it looks like the heads are more proportioned than the one I have. If one selects a pilot or trooper, is it known if a helmet is included? Also do we know what is used to make the heads, resin or the same material they use for the BS figures? I'd hate to put a helmet on and the paint rubs off easily.

I guess we will learn more details during their Celebration panel

I probably don't understand the target audience but if I were a woman, I'd probably want a Bo-Katan body instead of Hoth Leia.

And if I did want my head on a figure, I'd want it to be on a that little-known or seen character class, a Jedi.

If i was a woman, I would want my head on Slave Leia's body, as a matter of fact I will send my wife's picture and get her one for our anniversary.

What does this have to do with the selfie series? Go troll somewhere else.

I don't know what the poster intended, but I took it to mean he thinks the Selfie Series should be on a cardback with a blister pack (to be able to show off your Selfie figure in-package).

His "#NoBlister-NoBusiness" may be done in the same spirit as #NoOolaNoMoolah

My first pick would be to get me on a Jedi body, but I supposed I could do a pilot. And a Ghostbuster. Especially of they're gonna put my name on the chest!

What a great idea! One-of-a-kinds like this justify the higher price, and Habsro gets a helluva lot of a return on investments on several body molds. If successful, this ideally could/should have trickle down benefits for their regular lines.

Yes, I think this is a fun way for Hasbro to get more use, and profit, out of old body molds. Hopefully a large part of the profit from this goes back into the line and funds new molds. If the Selfie Series is successful, I don't want to hear excuses from Hasbro about characters which require new molds.

All of that said, Hasbro needs to retire the old Stormtrooper mold at this point. They really should be offering us a "Selfie" on the new Stormtrooper mold.

Edit: Also, if they are giving us Hoth Leia, they need to offer Bespin Han. That's the figure I want my Selfie to be on. Also, I would be more inclined to get a Selfie of my wife on Hoth Leia then. I bet a lot of couples would like to do that.

I feel like stuff like THIS is gonna be where the money is gonna be made on this. The gift potential for this is excellent. Big Ghostbusters fan in your life? You KNOW they don't have this in their collection/memorabilia. Even if you have 0 action figures, this would still be awesome to have.

Hmmm...this could be a fun novelty piece but I'm sure there's a very limited number of body sculpts to choose from. A Bespin Luke or Bespin Han would be cool options.

So do you just upload a picture to Hasbro and they do the rest🤔

People are gonna troll the hell out of this lol.
I mean, the price tag should stop most (not all!) shenanigans.

I suppose I’ll make myself a pilot, but I’d rather be a rebel trooper or a background Jedi…

This is my follow up question: how easy will headswaps be? If I need to order a Pilot to put my head on a Jedi body....or an Ironman body, or ghost rider... or apparently, when Darth Revan takes his helmet off, he and I look a LOT alike!

Like I said... lots of fun potential with this.
