Fittingly, Hasbro is following up the SDCC-exclusive Darth Maul and Sith Speeder bundle with another Episode I-inspired figure/vehicle combo. This set includes a fully articulated Battle Droid figure and a STAP vehicle, along with three accessories, including a removable backpack and back antenna.

Price: $49.99

Who’ll be picking up the new Black Series STAP with Battle Droid?

$50 is a lot for the Battle Droid/STAP 6" set, but I may get this anyway. It looks great, and I did really enjoy TPM. I do like the weathering on the droid.

That being said, it's amusing that this will be so expensive (for what you're getting) - when I clearly remember the 3.75" "Sneak Peak" version of this set peg-warming for a long time @ retail stores back in the day & eventually getting put on clearance. However, I seriously doubt that will happen with this 6" set ;)

Man I still remember driving across town to KB Toyworks on my lunch hour and picking up the Sneak Peek set! Good times

Loved the preview version, it's one of only a small handful of vehicles I kept boxed from TPM, loved the overall presentation of it. Kepp in mind the original release was in POTF2 packaging so it's nice to see it updated to "Episode 1" packaging.

I have fond memories of Target being overloaded with the old POTF2 sneak preview STAP. They had so many.

Definite purchase. Love to see them start dipping their toes into vehicles again.

100% ... it being supposed to be PulseCon Excl., I bet Premium Members will again get a advanced PO-window, so I finaly hit the button on the membership yesterday, too🤪😎

I hope this set is available through Gamestop in Canada...

Something always bugged me about Hasbro's Battledroid...I think it's the eyes. Are the eyes too big for anyone else?
I don't know what you're talking about... 😅

Wish the box had the green branding instead but i still love this. One of my favorite original releases back in the day.

Dont buy many black series these days but this I had to get. Just arrived from Pulse. Unfortunatly the blasters on the front are rubbery so theyre a bit bent out of the package, and the handlebars are a bit mishapen as well. The stand also isnt incredibly useful for any kind of dynamic pose, it will just fall over if its not straight up and down. The blaster head and tilt up and down, as well as rotate left to right. The handbars can swivel up and down but theyre connected.
