Hi all I'm sorry to have to do this but i don't want to hear of anyone else being ripped off
The long and short of it is do not use sonner toys unless you're a walk in customer and will be leaving the store with your product in hand
They've had my money since June for pre-order stuff and will not answer a single message sent on any social media platform or to the email they have on the website, all contact numbers are dead and I'm left with no choice but to drive from Hertfordshire to Portsmouth to get my money back from them or take products to the same value plus fuel costs

Please guy's check the online reviews (which I didn't do my mistake I fully admit) before you consider parting with you cash as since I've been looking into them they seem to have outstanding debts for pre-order stuff for over a year or more to a lot of people

Cheers Stuart

Having gone through a load of drama with 'Darkside Toys', I hope you are successful in getting anything owed. I stick with Star action figures, never let me down and superb all round service from them.

I hope you manage to get sorted. I’ve seen a few people in various groups mentioning similar issues with them recently.

Thanks guy's
I've only posted this in the hope that any other scummer won't fall into the same trap as myself and many others have
From what's wrote at one point they was a good company but over the last couple of years they've fallen into a bad habit of taking money for items they never get into stock and don't pay money owed back

This is the same pattern with Sonner as other retailers that went under like Darkside. They appear from nowhere and have stock levels of products that the established retailers like SAF, In Demand and Kapow don't have which looks fishy from the start. People don't see it though and order and pay deposits and then it turns out the retailer over promised and could not deliver and then runs off with the money. it's a shame to say it but people are best to stick with the aforementioned established retailers and not take the risk.

They’ve officially filed with companies house to dissolve. I would show this to your bank and hope they can help.

I saw that earlier but looking at companies house their are several Sonner companies registered including more recent Sonner Toys registrations. So although it looks like something is up I am not sure that filing is clear cut that they have gone. it could be for an unrelated company on that they are changing the ownership of the company.

So a update
Went into the store yesterday to be told they would look into it and return by end of the day which when we did they'd shut early
On our return today the store is fully shut and boarded up so I'm going to say they've shut down permanently so now it's time to get the bank involved

Harry strevens is the scammers name and he's already opening up another shop under Portsmouth collectables so that's another one to stay well clear of
The shopping centre the store is in has been hammered with calls by people who are owed money and they can't help with a contact number for said scammer as only have the same ones as on the internet which have been disconnected, they've had to send in bailiff's themselves for payment of rent so all around this guys a waste of air

If he opens up another shop, just go in there and take stuff to the value that he owes you.

Great mind's mate great minds,
His trick is to list up pre-order stuff for delivery over the 6 month's safety net from the banks and PayPal so by the time your stuff doesn't arrive you can't get it back as been to long but there's many ways to skin a cat
Is anyone on this forum out of pocket from said company or just myself?
If there is please send me a pm as sure others have been robbed by him for a lot more then myself
I saw on one review that a chap was waiting on two hot toys figure's so over £500 owed for over a year to which Harry strevens has put the blame on hot toys

I ordered 7 figures and got 3 of them. I've repeatedly asked for a refund for the other figures and received lies in which they stated that they were processing it. I'm down just under £60 so it isn't the end of the world, but it's still annoying.

I'll be amazed if my bank or PayPal goes anywhere near it due to how long ago the orders were placed.

Its a shame that stuff like this happens. That is why I only deal with established and reputable deals, sure they may have higher prices and less selection, but that is the trade off. Bad dealers can put a awful taste in your mouth, been there before as well, hope you get your money back.

Moving forward, I plan to buy exclusively from SAF as they don't charge the card until they dispatch the items.

I had some issues getting a refund for unsupplied figures from Kapow. I got the money back eventually, but it took several weeks and multiple emails.
