Now that they're out, I was wondering what you all think of the first three rehashed Action Fleet vehicles, assuming anybody bought them (and with the way they disappeared around here, I'm sure SOMEONE bought them).
I had planned not to get any of them, since they were all vehicles I already had, but once I saw them in person, I was tempted. I had longed for new Action Fleet stuff to buy, and these three had just enough changes for me to consider them "new". I'd still love some little people to put in them, but that's another story.
So what do I think? Let's look at them, shall we?
Vader's TIE: Seems to be a bluer shade of grey than the old one, and the paint is much brighter all around. The damaged wing is different from the one on the TIE from the Death Star playset, and appears to be accurate to the part in A New Hope where Vader's ship gets hit by one of his escorts.
Falcon: Same wonderful ship minus the missile thingy. Of course, I haven't opened it yet, so I don't know if they took away the little hidey place inside, but here's hoping they didn't. The paint is much more striking this time around, and the charring gives the ship a nicely used look. I prefer the original, but this is a good companion to it.
X-Wing: R2's not removable, but aside from that, a vast improvement. The paint is very realistic, and I love the yellow on the front. The guns on the wings of mine appear to be somewhat bent (the top ones look like they point up a bit, while the bottom ones seem to point a bit down), but maybe that's my eyes playing tricks on me.
So I'm happy with these three, rehashed as they may be, and am looking forward to the next few rehashes for various reasons. The Episode II stuff... we'll see how that turns out. I'm concerned that even if Hasbro gives us some people to put in the rehashes, the AOTC stuff won't be made to hold people in the first place. Dooku's Sailer springs to mind.
