I believe this PF will be resin, unlike the 1/6 which was plastic. But the 1/6 as a fully articulated figure had a fantastic appeal to collectors, especially because of that excellent articulation. From the interview video:
Legs are magnetically attached
Hinges won't move but legs can pivot/spin
Top will spin
Gun/sensor pieces on top will articulate
Lights and sound
Eye will light up
Knob on top section will be used as a button
The 1/6 is a beauty. And it is pretty accurate, a RPF modeler was involved in creating it, the same guy who also worked on the EFX TIE Fighter. The base looks odd. It looks like a Cylon Basestar. I have the 1/6th scale with snow base. I like that one.
Right. And it's light enough to use an acrylic rod with no issue.Add the snow base on the 1/6 and it looks even better
There are very accurate studio scale models which can be bought for slightly more than this PF.
I'm a little confused, this went from sold out/waitlisted to now back up for preorder with delivery in 2025. Did I miss something?
They really need to do another Speederbike 1/4, I'd buy that in an instant. Not too sure, its been almost a year too.
Either they expanded the ES or they never did the full 1000 ES run. SS appears to be investing heavily in their 1/4 scale for Star Wars again.
