Sideshow Captain Rex PF 2023

A more exciting pose compared to the Phase 1 Rex they did over a decade ago.

You'd think SS would take advantage of clone madness and make more.
 
Just watched the High End Collectibles Panel (and by watched, scrolled through to all the product reveals), looks like Rex is further ahead than Mace, Nihlius and Luke and is in the sculpting stage, while they're still in Concept stage.
 
Glad to see it announced, assuming we might see Luke, Mace and/or Nihlius announced/teased during this event as well.
 
Saw the teasers on other forums.

Assuming these 2 will be up by May 4th or for May 4th.

I have both Kenobi Mythos Statues, but I might be inclined to sell them off for a solid 1/4 version of him, especially if the Ewan sculpt looks close to that in Production Photos.
 
Assuming animated helmet and pauldron but realistic everything else, similar to what HT did.


Regardless, I want.

Good thing I'm selling a few Mythos and Premium Formats, looks like I'm all in on Mace and Rex, and probably Kenobi.
 
Only thing I don't like is the animated helmet and pauldron with the realistic armor but most companies have been doing that when it comes to Phase 2 Rex.

Not as exciting as Mace and Obi-Wan but due to the size of this, it will have great presence in the collection.
 
A steep price, but I've been preparing for him and Mace lol, sold 2 PFs, a few rarer Hasbro pieces for Mace and now selling a few statues for Rex. I had over $200 in rewards sitting around as well which was put towards this.

I was expecting this to be around $800-$825 though.

I'm a clone ***** though soo...pre-ordered!
 
Looks fantastic but not one I have any plans to buy. I don't feel the need to have a 1/4 Rex in my collection and am content with my Hot Toys & Sideshow versions.
 
Yeah, that $1k price is high. I have the first Rex PF and I'm happy with that. What was the original cost of that one? $300-$400?
 
Sideshow is releasing a 2 week exclusive Phase 1 version.

Missing the Rangefinder for some reason. I'm happy with the Phase 2 version and I don't think I can budget another $1k Premium Format.

For $1K it should have been a single statue with both Phase 1 & Phase 2 helmets as a switch out option, not 2 separate releases

The issue with that is there are a lot of differences between his P1 and P2 armor, it can't be just a helmet swap out.

Never noticed the differences, though can now you pointed it out. I do think they should have announced both versions at the same time.

Unfortunately with a lot of the named clones and commanders, a helmet swap doesn't work, even Cody has his fair share of differences between P1 and P2. It can work for a regular clone, 501st, 212th, etc.

Agreed, should of went up at the same time, and maybe some sort of discount if you get one. I just don't think I can justify over 2k for the same character in the same pose.
