Who’s purchasing this figure?

i think what's throwing her face sculp toff is the hair is too thick and bleached. Look at her bangs then look at the photo still on the card. Then there is the hanging braid, which looks makes figure look more like ...

1737573374016.png ....but i'm not complaining

I’m overall satisfied. The sculpting looks good. I hope she is truly shorter than Baylan.

The face still looks off, but I’ll hold final judgement until I see her in person.

I’m a bit conflicted on getting this one now or waiting for a release with her cloak. Unlike Baylan, who has novelty in being based on Ray Stevenson, Shin will reappear in Ahsoka Season 2, so I’d figure we’d get a release of her with the cloak at some point.

The face is really off. Is it just me or does see look oddly asian? I'd even go as far as to say it's not even close. In an era where most headsculpts are anywhere between the range of good to incredible, she'll go down as among the worst. This feels like a 1010 likeness. But, with that said, I still think she's a good looking figure, lousy likeness aside. It's not so bad that I can't tell who it's supposed to be. But call me crazy, but I'm already hoping for a second release of her with a new head sculpt.

Not a character I really liked or cared that much for, the figure looks fine other than the hair feels less detailed than past sculpts I've seen. Not the worst though. I'm still not sue if this is a full price purchase to utilize character wise, but I will be getting a couple for fodder. Legs and arms specifically.

Besides desperately needing a dark wash to match the grime of the on screen look, is anybody else getting annoyed with the inconsistency in ball hinged wrists for female characters?

Two of the daintiest figures in recent memory have had them - Bo Katan & Fennec Shand - yet the characters who require them most (Ahsoka, Shin, Sabine etc) continue to get shafted.

What gives?

I'm glad we're getting the figure, but yeah, no cloak and the head doesn't feel right. The padawan braid is a no-win situation at this scale. The photo real feels like it's missing a bit of detail under her eyes and the hair needs a wash. I'm usually the last person to say anything needs a wash but her actual hair is kind of thing and here it looks fluffy, and that's failing the details. It feels like melted butter.

This post sounds so negative! I'm glad we're getting a Shin and I'm very impressed with the rest of the figure.

This is "Fresh from the Salon" Shin Hati. She is on her first day on the job with Baylan, so she got her hair done with plenty of 80s hairspray and her clothes are all fresh and shiny. This was from a deleted scene that did not make the final cut of Ahsoka Episode 1.

Seriously though, I will be ordering for sure!

Really wasn't a big fan of the character (of course that could change) but the figure looks great

its called an excuse to cut costs... see thigh-swivel removed from TBS 6"

While I agree it's frustrating, there's a subtle indirect reason given when Chris mention FX-7 wasn't possible today. Costs have increased so much that they had to reduce the "waste" that comes with some of the tooling with smaller parts, just look at how much larger the wrist hinge is on male figures and makes their palm bulbous to the point it doesn't want to hold accessories tightly. Hasbro can no longer justify the "breakage" that transpires during casting with the tiny flimsy made parts so they shifted to "thicker wall" to reduce said waste per figure.

Picked up as well. I'm not sure how I feel about the lightsaber - like Baylan's, it looks more red in the samples we've seen than orange (Like the Black Series figures), but I actually prefer the inaccuracy, as I plan to put this pair in with my Sith display.

I kind of like the new legs without the the thigh cut better. At least on the few that I have, the hip and knee range of motion seems better. But I think it's pretty essential on TVC figures (they need more help balancing).

The double hinge knees were a major factor in why I didn't like TBS figures, it was chore to try and pose them without it always coming back to not quite being able to achieve said pose due to that restriction. So, the invention of swivel at the hip helped tremendously. Unfortunately, by that point my patience had run out and I scaled back to only getting EU characters.

The figure looks average, needs a little bit of weathering/detailing in the hair and outfit. Did preorder her anyways.

Having it certainly helped! But when they went to the single jointed knees, that range got a lot wider, so it made it the thigh cut a little less important (again that may depend on which character too). And the new hips also have some in/out pivot (not drastic, but enough to feel) that helps make up for it too.

I'm surprised the likeness is off on this (might just be this sample), considering that, strangely, several 3 3/4" releases that followed a 6" TBS release somehow managed to improve upon in that area and end up looking more like the actors. Think Bill Burr's character, Cobb Vanth and others. However in this case both look equally off. Such a destinct looking actress' face, too.

The missing capes on these two dark mercinary Jedi is also annoying.

I just bought this on Amazon. I had to pivot from EE and Pulse, which suck.

So today's preorder figures contains Ponda Baba, a figure that has been available for 15 years and won't ship until August, but in the UK we still can't preorder Shin and Baylan.

Starting to wonder if they'll ever make it to Europe at this rate.

Yep. Don't know what's the hold up for the earlier PO batch of figures but it 's weird. Expected a delay on last week reveals as well but, seeing they are actually going up for PO locally, the mystery thickens around that Baylan/Shin wave only being available in the US for so long.

So frustrating - Yord & Kenobi are the same wave in the States and they went up fine for order last time!

Yeah, I can't understand that one either. I think the last info was that they would be made available for pre-order over here once it got closer to the release date.

It makes me think Hasbro is producing less (and assuming a high US demand for these two) that we'll just get the leftovers or have to wait in case they need to make more to satisfy the demand outside the US.

Who could have predicted that the two most highly requested figures of the last two years would be in high demand. Obviously not Hasbro 🙄

There must be something off on the business or logistics side for that wave in the UK. At least they're aware and hopefully working to fix it.

But the Yord and Obi-Wan in the same wave can be pre-ordered just fine. That's what doesn't make sense....
