The stories I read with him, he was a real bad ass. I think I might pick him up.

Stormtroopers and lightsabers! Pfff what's next? The Emperor survives? Oh...

It looks weird though. I probably could persuade myself at some point, but definitely not needed. So far: Pass.
Yeah I’m on the fence. He looks better than I expected and I’m glad they’re using the new mold but it’s still not super exciting. I may pick him later though. He was cool in the comics

Wasnt too fussed by this one at first, but I keep looking at it and I can see myself now getting multiples as some sort of specialist - really love the extra pouches. I've got no connection to Kreel but I can picture him as a heavy trooper or marksman type (pauldron might be an issue with a sniper-type rifle)

IF they'd make the rest of his team THEN I'd be pulling the trigger.

It looks like they're using the First Order chestplate maybe?
But looks like its the new body (single pin elbow) with the original belt/holster?

Edit: Actually belt must be new since it has the pouch on the right thigh connected to it. Holster itself is the same though (as I guess you'd expect).

Strangely, I only care to know if “GalaxyShot” photographed this or not.
He did Jesse for VC. I dunno if he did any of the 6” stuff. But from the lame posing of some figures I would guess some are definitely not his work.

As someone who actually read the stories with this guy years ago, I'm not convinced. He looks like a generic stormie instead of a bulked up super-soldier.

Not quite as beefy as depicted in the comics, but I can't deny that this figure looks like a badass all the same. I'm tempted.

And for that reason, I can see myself army-building this guy as a slightly more "tactical" class of Stormtrooper (plus, it never hurts to have extra lightsabers). 🙂

Good thing in my eyes, I've no desire for a random Power of the Force figure standing in amidst my Black Series:p

I didn't read this comic but he's cool looking and I'm a sucker for Imperial troops.

But that price, jeez...

Agreed. Sev is the only one I’m gonna order today and that’s cause I can knock $5 off the price. Kreel, Saw, and maybe Leia will have to wait for a sale. I’m not worried about it. All these figures will be on sale at GameStop at the very least, if not multiple other sites.

I did not initially realize the price of these.

I, too, will wait for the gamestop sale.

I had never heard of this character until now.

Still though it is a freaking Stormtrooper with a lightsaber!! Put me down for one.

I haven't checked all the sites, but both GameStop and Entertainment Earth have the Sergeant slated for November release, but the remaining three comic figures for February.

I pre-ordered it, but I'm not sure if I'll keep the order. Lost a little respect for myself over this price tag.

Who is Sgt Kreel and why does he have a lightsaber?

Short version: a badass agent of Vader. He acquired the lightsaber during an undercover mission and Vader allowed him to keep it.

I thought Hasbro filled the slots with oddball characters like this because fans cry out for them, but it sounds like hardly anyone here knows this guy? WTF and LMAO!
I've known about him since they started advertising the character and his team back in 2015 or whenever, but I don't care for the new Marvel comics at all, so that was the extent of it.

Yet the cries from the fans that Hasbrah hears are distorted and twisted

Edit 1:
I know... I get it, these pave the way for new sculpts in this day and age ... I wonder how they did so well up until a couple of years ago, with all those unique sculpts

Edit 2:
And they are able to make some great ones in between. I've seen them do it.

I do want this figure, but I don't want to pay that price for him. I'm not sure what new sculpt he's opening the door for, but based on the last two years, I think it's gonna be a different kind of trooper, or backgrounder from one of the shows. Which would probably also be a pass from me.

We all want a few obscure characters, but I don't think they've been doing a good job of finding the balance, because there's a chunk of main characters everyone seems to want too that aren't getting any love. And half the ones that do, land in the "deluxe price" range.
