My RS Prop Masters Stormtrooper armour is on its way to me!!!

When not wearing it I'd like to have it displayed on a mannequin - I'm looking for any advice about how to do this, e.g. what kind of mannequin is required.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Have you tried a local department store? They might have old ones in storage.

Didn't think of that, not that there are any department stores left where I live! Should have got one when they were closing down. :)

So is a standard shop mannequin suitable for this armour?

Congrats on getting the armour. Have you asked RS to see if there are any mannequins they would recommend?

I did ask RS, they replied but didn't have any useful advice!
Armour arrived today, not taken it out of the box yet, except the helmet, which was hard to get on and not that comfortable!

You might want some bendy/flexible mannequins, similar to these:

The thing is none are perfect, and you'll need to work a bit on them. And their price is not small either

Stormtrooper armor and mannequins can be tricky. First piece you put on is the thigh armor you need to bend your ankle to get it over your foot. Which means you'll need a pricey bendable mannequin or be willing to cut apart cheap mannequin as needed. People have also use homemade mannequins out of duct tape. I ended up buying a half mannequin and just display the helmet and torso armor.

The helmet is meant to be put on at an angle. Like sideways and then rotate to the correct position. If you got a big head (like me) you might have to remove some padding.

Thanks. Those flexible mannequins look nice, but are really pricey!

I was thinking of getting a female mannequin, as the male ones are around 6' and I'm only 5'8" (a little short for a stormtrooper).
The female body might give more wiggle room to get the armour on, as long as they breasts aren't too big!

So far I have only tried on the helmet, I thought my head was too big as I had to put it on sideways. I must say, it isn't comfortable!
