As good as the costume and Prowse were, James Earl Jones was truly indispensable.

yeah I'm surprised Eastwood is still alive and kicking.

also James Earl Jones was in the Sandlot movies as the odd blind old baseball player who somehow was able to build a wall from old washers/dryers
So sad that only Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Anthony Daniels (and Denis Lawson) are left from A New Hope.

I wouldn’t say it's sad. Most of the principal actors were between the ages of 18-62 when A New Hope was filmed and released. Unfortunately we can't stop the passage of time...

I wonder who is going to voice Vader from now on
JEJ's sold his voice rights to Disney so there's your answer. At least his family will get residual checks from that deal so it's not totally awful.

With his permission, they used an AI version of his voice in the Kenobi show

I think he signed away the rights for his voice to be used so I think he will still get residual checks but there is always the possibility they will just get someone else to voice him....

They can recreate Vader’s voice using AI & their extensive audio files of his movies. A recent example was the Obi-Wan Kenobi streaming show on Disney +…he didn’t record for that one. He did grant them permission.
