Reva (The Third Sister) - VC#242

Second Sister when.

Also kind of sad (and liberating) thinking this might be one of the last figures I buy another to keep MOC as we inch closer to plastic free packaging.
 
Based on the very small sample of footage we have seen so far I'm not overly enthused with this character (although I know it's ridiculous to form an opinion based on basically no knowledge) but the figure looks pretty good. I personally would have preferred to see live action versions of the Inquisitors from Rebels that are in this show instead of this character.
 
Probably. Might preorder "just in case". Which is a phrase/thought I'm sick of saying/having.

I think it's just that they want to keep her interactions brief due to her possibly becoming a pivotal character so that when it happens in the show it's more meaningful. I was a bit surprised they sowed as much as they did and thought they would try to make her appearance a shocking surprise moment to the audience the same way it likely will be for Obi-Wan. After all a show named after the titular character and one we've know for over 40 years and knowing full well he's in it that there really wouldn't be much to hide. Leaving the other known Inquisitors as returning favorites as well as known characters, so seeing them appear would could make sense and not need be a surprise.

I mean since we already know exactly who's in it all the way up to Vader, what "surprises" can we really expect from the show in terms of characters? Especially in a "connected" Universe I totally expect to see some cameo possibly a younger Boba since he too has a Tatooine fetish.

How are people able to judge whether or not they like this character yet, or say there could be better options? Reva is going to be a major character in the Obi-Wan show, and she is already revealed and soon up for pre-order.

People have been asking for this timeliness to be the norm for ages, but it finally happens, and some people say “why her? There were better choices!”

Why her? Because she is apparently one of the main characters, as she is leading the hunt for Obi-Wan.

I think it has to do with the fact that it's a character no one knows, as opposed to either coming or of the gate with Obi Wan (being that it's his show), or the Second Sister, who has a close enough design to this, and a 3 year lead on having a fan base.

And I think after BoBF, some collectors/fans may be a little more reluctant taking trailers/previews at face value.

Seriously, she's in all of the promo photos with Hayden and Ewan.
 
And thus begins the slow and agonizing trickle out of figures associated with this mini-series, in association with the VC.

In my day, we would have had at least two Obi-Wan figure variants available by the show opening.

You'll be able to watch the show less than 24 hours after the product's pre-order date. Don't like it, cancel the order. Want to wait? Fine. Wait a whole day before you see the character in action to judge.

She's a major antagonist in a brand new piece of live-action media. That obviously takes precedence over your suggestion of a minor character from an increasingly obscure animated show that ended four years ago.

As for Obi Wan himself, obviously he'll be revealed/available within a week or two. That should surprise no one. Heck, most collectors have already seen the image of his figure leak.

These complaints are laughable.

Obi-Wan successfully "turning" her would give him some hope, something he has little of entering the series. He's spent a decade being emotionally broken after seemingly killing Anakin.

I want the figure based on the trailer alone.

Second Sister is from Jedi: Fallen Order. The inquisitor from Rebels is behind a lot of other Rebels characters on want lists, so it wouldn't make any sense for her to come out instead.

My point was just that the character hasn't unanimously won fans over yet and some people might be thinking the trailer could be misleading. And that was in response to why are people down on this figure. Personally, she'll probably end up being one of my favorites because force users typically are.

So a video game character (no offense to gamers!) should have even LESS priority!

Yes, she hasn't "won over fans" yet. This is probably the first time I've ever heard that argument about any character in SW history. "Hmm, well, I'll have to wait and see her in the media first." Usually people are champing at the bit for new figures from new media, whether they've seen 'em or not. Especially if their cool-looking baddies.
 
I'm easy. If they appear on screen, I buy their figure. Easy enough!

It was a REALLY good game though! And if the main character shows up in Obi Wan (the time lines match and it was lightly rumored), it would make sense!

We are wanting new figures, it's a valid point. It wouldn't be the first time we got a minor character over a main first though. That's all.
 
Nothing against the character personally, I just find her to be very basic and boring compared to all the other Inquisitor looks that they could have gone with. And TBH I'm getting very tired of main character always having to be Human particularly in a GFFA with millions of Alien species...

It was a decent game and didn't she already get a figure when the game launched?
 
The interesting thing about Fallen Order is when the first game launched, TVC's priority was geared more toward OT.

Now the line is much broader, thus why Cal is rumored/coming for the sequel. He may not be alone. Who knows.

What's a valid point, exactly? She's clearly a major character. It looks like she'll probably be more important than the Grand Inquisitor to the narrative (that's just speculation, of course.) But to say she's "minor" is silly.
 
She was newly created for this series. No future Rebels baggage. I fully expect her to experience a full character arc. And I'd be shocked if she survives the finale.
