I'd been wondering at this too, because boy do those things ever not want to come out! I've not tried this yet myself, but have you considered heating the plastic a bit with a hair dryer and then seeing if they'll pop out? Again, I've not done this yet, but getting the plastic to expand a bit with some heat is usually sound.
Does anyone remember how they went in?

If memory serves it was the basic snap-in lever on the landing legs. However they lock in tighter than any other add-on piece that I've seen. That's why I'm thinking a little heat at the edges of the socket should help them pop out easier.

Its a nice vehicle , I own 4 of them however it is just too bad it was underscale and the battle station gimmick makes it suffer as an adequate trooper transport. Was probably the only way the designer could get hasbro to produce it I bet.

I've been re-watching The Clone Wars lately from start to finish, and I've noticed how often we see this Attack Shuttle. It looks like quite the big interior in the show, especially with that extra cargo box we see on the bottom of it in the D-Squad arc in Season 5 (I think) and the Fives arc in Season 6. In season 6, when the super-space battle droids enter the attack shuttle and wipe out the clones escorting Tup, the interior of that cargo box is pretty huge. I'm thinking that, with a few interior-design interventions, a cargo-box equipped attack shuttle could be a decent long-term operations unit for a squad or even small platoon. It looks huge on the inside. Almost too huge to be believed.

Of course, the Hasbro version is a little bit smaller on the inside. It's still huge in its own way, especially for a toy (Oh my God - did I just refer to my shuttle as a "toy"???), but I wish Hasbro had at least combined both side seating areas with the main compartment and hollowed out what was there a little. I realize it can't be bigger in actual size, but if it had had an "engine" room and more opened interior space, it could have seemed bigger than it does, now. I'm thinking of how the Republic Gunship -- bless the hearts of those people who put this toy out so I can have one -- really maximizes its space. True, it should be possible to open up the top part of the Gunship a bit, but there's still a lotta room in there, whereas the Shuttle is crampy!

Fine - I admit it: I wish there were some kind of really Clone Wars ship, like a Republic Blockade Runner (like the capacious beast we see in the Season 2 Episode 8 "Brain Invaders"). It has a little galley, cargo area, various hallways and rooms. Think of the GI-Joe USS Flagg set, but the blockade runner, perhaps a little fatter and taller to incorporate at least two levels, lift-away sides and roof panels for access, tons o' rooms. I'd fill that baby with pilots, engineers, clone troopers, cargo boxes, you name it. A little infirmary, a little brig, some cramped bunk quarters, engine room, small armoury, etc. That would be the centre-piece of my collection. Anyway, I digress.

If anyone has pics of how you've set up your Shuttle with figs or a diorama or something, please post. I'm not at all hot on the playset part of the shuttle (I pretend that feature doesn't exist, because I'm picky), but I'd be up for anything posted on this.

That's the biggest reason I didn't buy the thing, the playset aspect totally ruined what could have been an awesome "ship"! It basically negated anything use-able inside for that purpose. In the show, it does have some cool alts and interiors. But simply wasn't translated into the toy. To date, the Republic Gunship is still my favorite PT era ship. Next would be that mini gunship looking Dropship. Also like that ship /Anakin that was never released...

To an extent, I was letdown with the new Slave 1. There could have been so much more going on inside, instead of just the rotating seat.

I prefer ship interiors to fold-out playsets too, but all you basically have to do is not open up the wing compartments... everything else is inside the ship space. And while it's cramped, I don;t think they could have made it any bigger and expected kids to tote it around. It looks great on the battlefield, and has tons of clone voices that play... it even does different sounds based on whether the wings are in up, playset or flight mode. It's really a clever toy. And I doubt we'll ever see anything like it again.

Yes, the Golden Age of SW toys has ended yet again. Sounds like everyone wished that the Attack Shuttle was another BMF. Large in size, great features, where the ships interior rooms are the playset, not fold out walls and towers.

But, we won't see this again. Unless there is a revolution in Manufacturing that causes the price to make these things to plummet, such as 3D printing. Who knows in 10 years, we might be downloading toys from Amazon and printing them ourselves. :D

I would've preferred a ship interior like you guys, but I have to say that my son (who was 8yrs old when I bought this cheap from Amazon around Christmas) thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. He loved the sounds. He loved the idea that this thing could land and set up as a base to fight droids.

Oh definitely, I spoke with my 8 year old self when this came out. And he thought it was very cool. Almost as cool as the Mobile Command Center from G.I. Joe!

Post Clone Wars, this is still the toy my 6 year plays with the most. This list includes the Gunship, AT-TE, etc. I, too, would have loved a more spacious interior but it's a darn good toy especially compared with the crap that Hasbro is putting out today.

Cargo box for Attack Shuttle?

Has anyone tried producing a cargo box for the shuttle? In the "Secret Weapons" arc, we see a Republic Attack Shuttle that has a significant cargo box attack on the bottom rather than the protruding landing gear. When we see inside this cargo box in the Season 6 Fives arc, the cargo box makes for a rather capacious interior, indeed.

Now, I notice that when my shuttle wings are all the way down, there's an empty space filled only with the protruding landing legs. It would appear that a cargo box pod could slot in there nicely. Has anyone tried it?

Holy home factories, Batman! My 3D will never stop, then!

So can anyone tell me the maximum number of figures you've fit into the shuttle without just laying one all on top of each other? I can get six figures standing-room in the main compartment, two lying in the tiny "bunk" on the right side (usually this is Aayla Secura and Commander Bly's "stateroom"), and a droid or two on the bench on the left. Two pilots. So what's that -- 12?

Found one at a flea market today. $5! Have to wait till I get home to see how complete it is. All its missing exteriorwise is the small gun above the cockpit. Won't miss the pilot figure but hope the white rifle is hiding inside!

Edit: Nope, no white rifle. Oh well....
Some broken tabs on panels and missing the cannons for the playset. Still glad I got it tho...

Spaceship mode!

Outpost mode!

Broken Tabs!!!

I just wanted the white rifle cuz it was an exclusive...
I'm happy for $5 worth! That is, when I can keep the resident 5year old off of it....

Sorry about the craptacular pics, nothing photographs good on that table, and didn't have anywhere else to take them...

Sweet! Now load that beast up for a mission. Like seriously -- droids and rebels abound.

This shuttle is definitely out on it’s own. I managed to track down some clone pilot mini figs from the Transformers Crossovers line. They weren’t cheap and it took a while, but they satisfied my curiosity as to how they’d look in there. If they’re under scaled it wouldn’t be by much. They are a little taller than Action Fleet

They did make a Legacy Collection version of the Clone Pilot. I never picked him up though. I think I only saw him once at a Sears of all places He may have been part of one of those 'Hard to find" waves. Its been so long ago, that I can't remember.

From the looks of the pictures, it appears as if his helmet doesn't fit quite right.

Pretty sure I have at least one of those floating about. I like the design,
but the imperial “V-wing” (?) repaint is a much better fit with the helmet.
But even the full molded head/helmet of the ROTS Collection clone pilot (w/firing canon) with the split elbow joints still looks better. Especially in my imperial gunship. A smaller neater head really helps.
