Bought a b wing pilot with as stated in auction an original gun. It turned out it arrived with a black repro blaster. The guy offered me 10 dollar partial refund on a 29.00 auction. The figure has a few rubs and is a ok condition figure at best. Ive since sent photos of it sinking, side by side to show the markings are wrong, and that the color is off. He still insists its original. I guess getting ebay involved is inevitable....

Ebay will side with you. All you need to say is item no at as described . Then it's a waiting deal

You'll be ok. Stay on the high road and let him run off at the mouth.

It took all of 5 min for ebay to approve refund. I put my original next to it and photographed them side by side and in water.beware a relisting. B wing pilot with phony mlack endor pistol.

Hi Lobotscomb

I know EBay gets much crap (Some of it deserved), but however if you know your toys I have never had them screw me and always back me on repro's or any miss-leading auctions.

They came through. All good on my end. As a seller they have treated me like garbage on occasion. Especially when the post office screws up. I have proof I've meiled an item and it is scanned all the way to its destenation....then Bam, no delivery notification and I lose out. The items are refunded and later on it gets delivered after the case is closed. Happens more often than it should.

Next time I would just buy a beater carded one and open that one and no problems with repro’s.

I already have one that was a baggie. I wanted another to pilot my B Wing the price was ok and if it was a true black blaster as stated it would have been a bargain instead...lol plus there was a lot of hidden paint wear on the top of the helmet.

The argument about opening carded is not about value, it is about preserving the finite supply of unopened product that is left.

NEVER OPEN CARDED.
yeah..sure the world will never be the same without yellowed bubbles torn and worn out 40 year old packages. I disagree with you and will continue to tell people to open up beater cards for mint figures. They made millions of each figure and there are plenty around for those that want mint cards and tons of collections with unopened figure cards and packages. Including mine. It should now be about people enjoying the toys and figures not about 200 years from now. Kids thanks to Disney’s SW movie abominations are already turning there nose up at Star Wars toys. Telling them that these are priceless pieces of history and not ever to touch them is the wrong thing to do.

I just made yours more valuable. You are welcome. Now go back in time and steal them from under kids Xmas trees too.
