News Reorganizing the Film and TV section

Even though Rebelscum is collector oriented we do have some forums for discussions outside of the collecting realm. With the release of The Mandalorian we're going to reorganize the Film and TV section as such :

Film, Television and Literature

• Prequel Trilogy
• Classic Trilogy
• Sequel Trilogy
• Non-Saga Movies
• Live Action and Animated Television
• Novels, Comics and other Literature

We will also be making use of the new "Tags" feature of Xenforo and encouraging people to use them. Tags let you specify what your content is about, so if you make a post about Rogue One, Thrawn, Dr Aphra etc in any of the appropriate forums people will be able to search by tag to find just content about those subjects. If you use our sister forum The Jedi Council Forums you'll know that tags work really well and help people find the content they're looking for very easily.

The existing forums like Expanded Universe and Spin-Off Movies will still exist but you won't be able to create new threads. You will however be able to continue to reply to existing threads and they will be moved and tagged to the appropriate forum as admin/mod time permits.

This is a step in the right direction and just what the film section needed, the only section that's not needed is the "Novels, Comics and other Literature" section in the film section because the forum already has an established "comics, Books & Magazines" section in the "Toys and Collectibles" section of the forum. Seems like a lot of doubling up.



The Hasbro toy section needs the sections condensed/merged - so many toy sections and a lot of them just inactive with maybe a couple active threads in the last 2 or 3 years. It's time to tidy it up and make it more streamlined - Plus who wants to scroll through so many sections?

This is how I suggest the Hasbro toy section look like:

The Black Series 6"
The Vintage Collection
Past Hasbro Toys - 1995-2017 (17 sections now into one)
General Discussion/Other Hasbro Star Wars Products
Action Fleet, Micro Machines, Fighter Pods
Limelighting & Display

i honestly didn’t see the lit section in toys and collectibles, because why would it be there?? There needs to be a distinction between discussion of the content of a book, and discussion of collecting of books. Otherwise you might as well argue that we don’t need movie discussions because people collect action figures so the movies should be discussed there.

with regards to Hasbro that’s for someone else to deal with, feel free to email the mods and Philip to suggest changes, I just jumped on the tv and movie forum because there was no TV section at all.
