Refueling station Diorama

Damn! That's awesome! Really cool to see some of the bigger ships in 1/18 scale in a setting that looks big and the style is really fresh. Love the crates, droids, and looks like some really cool figures in there too! The floor is really off the charts. How long did it take to to do it?

So the floor is a gaming matt, for table top gaming, so you just roll it out.
The individual painting of the figures, the various refueling stations would be around 40 hours tops,
The Razor crest weathering which is minor was about 8 hours at most.

The Falcon custom painting, now that took a long time,
Start to finish that would be around 1000 hours,
But that is over a 10 year period [When it was first released in the legacy collection line]

I think it looks amazing. I also like that it is different parts so you can easily rearrange it to make it look different.

Really great to see a large-scale hanger put together like this one. Did you have any "Goto" base figures you used for the different mechanics spread throughout the diorama?

Amazing work! Excellent rust weathering on multiple pieces of the scene, and that’s a great custom female tech with the flight suit off of the upper torso, working on the falcon! That’s a scene I’d have love to see in the sequel trilogy 👌

Yup, the Joytoy mechanics, then the rest are either old re-painted gi-joe's or random figures from the vintage collection line,

Sorry, things have been busy at work so I think I missed a few earlier replies,

Just some updates on where it is at currently,
Another set of JoyToy Maintenance crew arrived,

Been adding additional figures,

These photo's are a few weeks old so if I go out and take some more photo's there will be a few changes,
I also have something additional that I am 'building' which is part of the station....

Also a link to some of my other creations

Whoah bro, that’s totally epic! That’s a full spaceport if anyone’s ever posted one. I love how you’ve designed it almost by color in certain sections. It just goes on and on. It’s absolutely beautiful! 🤩

I actually really like the flash! Somehow it gives the spaceport this night-under-the-streetlamp kind of vibe. It actually feels like it’s happening outside. Some of those interior shots look totally real. I love all the JoyToy mechanics!

Thanks so much for the close-ups. This is just fantastic!!! I agree with
Tulgah on the flashes. It really gives the pics a real spaceport feeling.

I bought Hera Syndulla, R5-D4 and Chopper last night and should arrive today, going to give them a once over on weathing then put them into the hanger, will take more photo's then.

AWESOME!!! Really cool stuff, I love all the details in this dio, a lot going on and some very unique elements. One of my favorites? Sandstorm Chewie carrying a tub of cabbages! 1700600268371.png

I took some photo's using our digital camera, the compression size of the pictures is apparently better so I can upload them here on one post,
The quality is either better or worse.
I also turned on all my lighting in the diorama so you can see where they are and how it looks.
Some photo's were just too dark and didn't come out well so they were excluded.

Me too! I fact, I have! 😝

Two of my favorites are the weathered Vehicle Maintenance Energizer at the top of the rusty tower and the girl handing a tool to the rusty 8D8 combo droid.

But my very favorite is this one. It’s dark, but somehow it’s one of the most appealing SW toy shots I’ve ever seen. Rebelscum for the win!

That guy fell over several times while setting up for the shot, and I just realized the base for the carbonite is not centered with the ramp LOL
My OCD is twitching o_O

Edit:

I finished weathering Hera, chopper and R5

R5 has wheels so was harder to get him on the ramp, but blue tack solves all.
The other droid, R4-M9 from the Power of the jedi line 2000-2002 was before they started adding wheels on their feet.

I wish I had more time to look through this more as it is really inspiring. I'll definitely check after I've sorted my greeblies and can work on my own projects.
