I just received a veeeery nice 1986 Hawk MOC and a less nice Action Force Airtight MOC today. man I was kind of worried about the Hawk since they said damaged card, and I could barely find a flaw when I got it, plus the seller nicely included a 1987 catalog. Man I love those catalogs.

Catalogs are great. How I miss those. Congrats on your haul. I just ordered a 2006 Convention Skull Squad Trooper, but he's not here yet. I'd love to grab an '89 Recoil or '91 Sci-Fi MOC.

I keep getting outbid on '86 sci-fis I just didn't think that they would run me more than I've been bidding

That sucks, but I've found that if you hold of long enough you'll find it for YOUR price. I just got two v1 crimson guards for $8 each, complete and VERY mint. I almost feel guilty.... man I love ebay... (most of the time!)

I recieved a mail away 1993/4 Joseph Colton still in the bag with file card. For less than six bucks with shipping. Not bad, and a great figure!

My recent acquistions have been:

-hand painted Firefly V2 hardcopy (used as the photo sample in Hasbro photography).
-6 steel roto head molds used the production of some of the modern 12" figures.
-Canadian diecast 3 pack
-Canadian Scarlett MOC, swivel arm with Canadian birthplace.

Wow thats some haul. I;d love to see some nice closeups of that Firefly once it arrives, if you'd be so gracious

Do you have one of those Tiger Force Steel Brigades Shane?

I don't actually. Most modern proto stuff doesn't interest me and the only reason why i jumped on these molds were because, well, they were molds. Of Snake Eyes. And Stormshadow! LOL...i'd have been silly not to.
smile.gif

Other modern proto stuff i have are a set of FSs for the Oktober Guard and the Crimson Infiltrate set. That's all i'm really interested in.

I'll be posting some collection pics in a few weeks or so and i'll have some pics of the Firefly, as well as the rest of the Firefly V2 run i've put together.

I just checked the shipping record, and my carded Mainframe should be waiting at home. I just hope that the postal carrier didn't decide to leave it on my front porch since it is raining out. I can't wait to see it. I am also waiting impatiently for a couple of parts lots I won. With the poor pictures, I hope that I get what I thought I saw, and maybe some good surprise or other. Either way, it'll increase my for sale list by whatever items I can't use.

this weekend i found several vintage joes i was missing and a few i never had.

iron grenadier (1988) $7 (i already had his weapons)
viper (1986) $3 (i already had his weapons)
serpentor (1986) $10 (no weapons)
tomax & xamot (1985) $6 each (i already had their weapons)
quick kick (1985) $5 (no weapons; i had his backpack)
firefly (1984) $10 (backpack)
wild bill (1983) $6
major bludd (1983) $7 (no weapons)
gung-ho (1983) $5 (no weapons)
destro (1983) $7 (backpack)
scarlett (1982) $10 (crossbow)
snake eyes (1982) $5 (uzi)

i also got a thunder machine for $5 with various parts missing. i was very happy with all of it. they are in great shape except gung-ho's joints are loose and xamot's paint is a little worn. snake eyes' screw is missing. it amazing he was still together. he was at the bottom of a box of joes that had been just tossed in there. i tried to replace the screw, but i think the hole is stripped. he looks good and stays together fairly well anyway.

A couple of weekends ago I went to a Sci Fi conventioin and instead of buying any SW, I bought GI Joe.

For a grand total of $15, I bought complete Flint, Leatherneck, and Beachhead. Included in that price was the VAMP without the jerry cans and steering wheel. I was happy. I've also picked up a Dusty this past week and a Russian MOC Flint that I'm waiting to show up.

Thanks again for the assist on that Shane.

I got my Starduster and a parts lot that I had bought. I will be adding some of those reconstituted figures into my for sale list.

Well I just got quite a few figures.
2 pit viper 6-packs.
2 night watch 6-packs
2 crimson guard 6-packs (one w/ Tomax and other w/ Xamot)
1 shadow guard 6-pack
3 v1 crimson guards complete
1 v1 viper complete
1 v1 B.A.T.S. complete
2 v1 Cobra Officers complete (one was straight arm, but not mint as described)

These were form 2 seperate sellers on eBay. Total was like $176 after shipping... I thought it was pretty sweet. Even though I'm kind of disappointed w/ the crimson gaurds (6-packs) and shadow guards. Their right arms aren't quite right...

A couple of weeks ago I went to a Sci Fi convention and didn't buy any Star Wars.

ops:

I've gotten a little stagnant on it lately so I'm going to pursue a few different GI Joe figures. Last weekend I picked up the Vamp jeep, Flint, Beechhead, and Leatherneck. Here is a figure I picked up on eBay and it arrived today. It's a Russian Flint. Thanks to Shane for answering a few questions about it for me.

what parts are missing on the thunder machine? as i have a lot of extra thunder machine parts

from what i can tell, both machine guns, the antenna, & side mirror. the front bumper & brush guard are not only missing, but they are broken off. i think i could glue them on though.

i have the parts you mentuned....except for the brush guard,

the parts are unbroken, with no stress marks....

do you have a gi joe trade list vintage and modern you can PM me?

Two more pickups this weekend. I won an auction for a VAMP II minus the steering wheel and a Cobra Snow Serpent minus the missile stand for a grand total delivered to me for about $25. I'm trying real hard not to clutter up my house with more "stuff" after dumping almost all of my Star Wars collection, but Joe's are really hard to avoid. I'm think though I'm just going to stick with jeeps and a few figures.

I got a first shot for my Firefly V2 run this past week. Now i have a rough, unfinished HC, the handpainted photo sample HC, the FS and the concept/presentation art. Not a bad little run.

Dang, that's more than 75% off...most Targets sold those out at $5. I found one hidden (obviously) on a shelf, the blinking light version.

Had a nice surpirse at the big local antique show today. Picked up MOCs of Footloose, Airtight, Dr. Mindbender, Croc Master and Raptor, all Candian cards for $190. As nice a deal as it was, i guess the guy who had them picked them up at my big toy show a couple weeks back for $15 each.

I guess that'll teach me to pay more attention at more show.

Received my Japanese Flint MOC. of course it came from Asia, and as with most things I get from Asia, the box got knocked around in transit, but overall I'm still happy with it. It's not great looking, but it is mine.
smile.gif

BTW does anyone know where or if it's possible to find an Action Force Flint?

Not a big Joe collector (although I am getting pretty interested in the 25th ann sets) but I do grab a few of my old favorites when I see them from time to time. Anyway, I was able to get my hands on an A.V.A.C. in near mint condition from ebay. I got a great deal.

Now if I could just find a Firebat that's in good shape for under $50... I know, not going to happen. I miss the days when you could find this kind of stuff at garage sales.

I missed those days when Hasbro offered vehicles through mail-in using Flag points. I got the Firebat this way since I wasn't weathy enough at the time to get the Terrordrome.

That's exactly how I got my Firebat. I collected the flag points for a long time and I finally was able to get it. I loved that little jet. I had it for years before one of my friends decided to see if they could make it fly.

Considering that was almost 20 years ago, I should probably let it go...

I picked up the Viper Pit and the Issue #44 comic pack with Lady Jaye and the gas-mask Cobras. Lady Jaye with the helmet is pretty cool I must say.

Thanks to ThorOakenfelder I now have a decent complete Destro V1 (still had the pistol from when I was a kid)And I was able to piece together a nice white Storm Shadow V1 (he only has a bit of paint wear) Slowly I'm building my collection ... very slowly lol lol

Today I picked up CP #44. I still say this is the weakest set they've done to date, but I can use the two troopers with my Eco-Warriors.

I liked Lady Jaye's non baseball cap head. It's a little small, but oh well.

I'd love it if it looked like Lady Jaye. It looks more like the chick who played Dana Scully IMO, esp. with that haircut. I do plan to dye her suit a darker green too.

I just got a MIB Sky Hawk with a BIN of $19. I was extremely happy. It was one of the few vehicles I told myself I needed to have because, in my opinion, it was the perfect stopgap between military realism and a tastefully muted sci-fi that makes G.I. Joe so appealing to this day.

I really want a MIB Buzz Boar now for some strange reason... actually I just want the empty box like I usually do but rarely can I find those.

Landed an incomplete, but in rather good overall condition Terrordrome at goodwill for $7.99!

WOW! Nice score! $8 is amazing - I'm sure Firebat and pilot were gone, but otherwise, how complete?

Just picked up the following Joes and Cobra:

Snake Eyes w/ White Wolf
Snake Eyes w/ Black Wolf
Storm Shadow
Flint
Cobra Officer

Would anyone have preferred that the Cobra Officer come with the AK-47 instead of the "silver" sniper rifle? BTW, wouldn't a "silver" sniper rifle kind of give away your "sniper" position?

The stands look great and they look awfully familiar to some stands from some other Hasbro toy line. Now what was that line....hmmm.

Nice find on the Terrordrome DarthPete.
