I am still baffled as to why Hasbro has a street date for these figures. In a recent Q&A, they were asked why there was this long gap between figures, and their answer was that they make a certain number of figures each year, and that they try to get the figures out as fast as they can, and that is why some waves seem to come out practically on top of each other (e.g., Fall, 2009). And once they have shipped all of that year's figures, there may be a gap before the next year's figures are ready to go.AaylaSecurasMan said:This guy found them here in the US! I think when Hasbro planned this line they figured that the basically ‘failed’ 2009 assortments of both TCW and Legacy would take at least 6 months to fully clear (because there was undoubtedly still stockpiles unable to be moved to the clogged pegs, creating a backlog of cases to be slowly sold). Given that it appears they want to restart the line with the Vintage look, they want as little as possible Legacy left on shelves when they launch the line, so as too completely separate the lines, and too prevent Legacy from becoming ‘eternal peg warmers’. In that I mean if Vintage and old Legacy were on the shelves at the same time, the Vintage stuff qould sell quick, and the Legacy stuff is still going to stay there indefinitely. Then when Vintage is restocked, it will sell, leaving the same old Legacy. If there is only Legacy stuff then they can wither it away without competition. You know the odd ROTS figures which lie around at the stores? It would be like that only worse. 2009 was a failed year for Hasbro and they want to reboot the line fresh.RegJr said:I am still baffled as to why Hasbro has a street date for these figures. But here is a case in which they are purposefully not putting the figures out as fast as they can, leaving retailers with dwindling stock and few sales. And there is a legion of collectors waiting to get their hands on this stuff, with itchy wallets in their pockets. Why would Hasbro refrain from sending these to retail as soon as possible??
I know, I don't like it, it gives me the creepsBIGJIM said:Here's the sticker we need to look for when checking pallets for new figures.

Eerily looks like the EU case sticker.

This image is from forum member gshaller over at Star Wars Action News. He picked them up at a local CA toy store. Read all about it, with images too.BIGJIM said:Here's the sticker we need to look for when checking pallets for new figures.

It's been reported that they're currently available in the UK.nagauthier said:I call shanigans. No pics = no proof.chewie1 said:saw thm in toys r us today looked amazing picked up dengar and boba now i relly wan cloud ca and piolit plus snowspeeder
Most likely he is talking about the UK TRU and not the US, several folks from there have been reporting their finds, the Vintage line is already flowing there.nagauthier said:I call shanigans. 'Flowing' isn't the right word. If you mean we get 2-3 cases of Vintage which are exclusive to TRU and paying a slight markup, yeah, they're 'flowing'...AaylaSecurasMan said:Most likely he is talking about the UK TRU and not the US, several folks from there have been reporting their finds, the Vintage line is already flowing there.nagauthier said:I call shanigans. Sure it doesnt hurt.nagauthier said:Whoops, shenanigans accusation rescinded. But that does reinforce the notion that if you don't have your location under your profile pic it doesn't hurt to mention where you are when you post a find.
Don’t want to jim-in here, but in all honesty he kind of did have reason. The guy who posted is relatively new, hasn’t posted much, didn’t offer a location of find, and had an oddly worded post (no offense to the guy or anything). Given that there aren’t many reports of finds, and people are eagerly awaiting the first reports from the first people to find these figures, then there is definitely the opportunity for someone to ‘fool’ some people around here. So he had good reason to question the guy’s legitimacy. Obviously the guy was telling the truth, however questioning the find with no evidence, or location was certainly justified. But anyway carry on...Idpullthecurtain said:Sure it doesnt hurt.nagauthier said:Whoops, shenanigans accusation rescinded. But what does, is calling someone BS when it most likely isnt.

I apologized, no need to get testy. The fact is he has a very low post count and hasn't been here very long. That fits the profile of the kind of people who troll and post fake finds. It does happen here more often than it should and I was a lot nicer about it than some people here who call B.S.Idpullthecurtain said:Sure it doesnt hurt.nagauthier said:Whoops, shenanigans accusation rescinded.
