I've acquired the knowledge that there's a lot of pessimism on these boards about the first wave. If that Walmart list holds true, I think there's gonna be a lot to like with the Black Collection.

Found part of the first wave at Target. Biggs and Vader. They were 9.99. Paint apps were awful.

I'll check the receipt. The description said Vintage Figure when they scanned so it might be the same as the vintage collection.

That's not a good sign if true. My local target is still loaded down with Vintage Collection figures. 
I just picked up the whole first wave of the back collection (3.75) from Target. Plus R4-P17 x2, shock trooper x2, and a super battle droid from the new saga legends series. I forgot to have them check the 6 inch and mission series. What are the DPCI number for those 2 again?

Darth Chuck - any idea what stores that still have a ton of TVC will do? Should I just start shopping at a different store? lol. Very strange to have a whole new card style end up on the same dpci, isn't it?
Went to local Target looking for these. Gave them the DPCI# and they had 12 figures in the back! I got excited that I found the new stuff until they brought out a case of TVC with Malgus in it.

Just ran to my local Target after seeing the "product available" bit on their website. It was TVC. Only one on the shelf. Thought about picking it up just to clear them out totally but left empty-handed. A bummer but it's early yet.

I got six figures from the wave at a Target near Denver last night - another collector had Luke and the Clone Sergeant in his basket as I got to the aisle. They seemed to have gotten only one case in.

And the mishandling/stocking problems of the Star Wars line continue...
This time, it seems to be more the retailer's fault than Hasbro. Haven't gone looking for these yet, but I will buy Padme on sight.

In cases like these, I tend to round up all of the old figures and return them to the worst store in the area- that way at least some of the stores get new stock even if one doesn't. Probably not the nicest thing to do, but it works.
I need the DPCI number for the 6 inch TBS, not 3.75 inch. I also need the DCPI number for the mission series figures. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Picked up Biggs and Anakin at TRU with the BOGOHO sale, 2 for $15 not bad.

We're most likely screwed
I have 8 TVC figures and -0- pending. I may have to have a friend relocate some. Bwahaha. Sad thing is, we're probably one the "bad" stores. We've had the same stuff foreeeeeeeeeeeever.
Most stores around here are pretty low. One has fifteen, the rest have fewer than six. Mine has four, and three of them are Battle Droids.
One store (near my parents) has twelve, all located in Upper Casepack in the back... I'm a bit tempted to go out there.

Found a full case at TRU and picked up the Luke and Padme with the BOGO1/2 sale. Just a few thoughts:
-- Padme's head sculpt is excellent; I'll probably pick up another for a headswap with the LC version (assuming the neck posts are the same). However, the white elbow joint on the right arm is beyond ridiculous.
-- I'm leaning toward putting the resurgence Luke head from my current ceremony Luke custom on the new body (the new blaster/holster is nice, and the new shade of yellow for the jacket looks better to me).
I planned to pick up a Biggs, but after seeing it in person I'll probably stick with my kitbash... Just not feeling the headsculpt, and the flightsuit's orange color seems off to me.

Thanks! Do you just go to customer service with this number (if in stock) and ask them to bring it out? Is it something they typically do, or just as a favor?
^ You can usally ask any employee, especially if they have one of those hand-held devices. Or sometimes you can go to the media department (my Targets usually have them close to the toy department) and have them look it up there.

Keep in mind that there is a rule within Target about pulling collectable toys from the back (that is not typically enforced anymore, but...) and some stores or associates will not get Star Wars stuff from the back for you.

The Electronics department employees are the ones who usually push the policy of no pulling from the backroom the most. If I were you, I would try to find someone working in the clothing department or someone in grocery. I've always found them to be the most helpful.

Had to run to Target for some other stuff this morning. Decided since I had a little money left over at the end of the month and the Vintage figures were still on clearance, I'd just go ahead and grab the remaining figures for custom parts (hoping to have some more time for customizing soon...). We will see if this makes them get in The Black Series. Knowing my luck, they'll get another case of TVC...
If it hasn't already, Black Series has now officially hit L.A. Met up with EnigmaticOne at the Eagle Rock target; all that was left was Vader and two biker scouts. Bought Vader.

The neck posts are NOT the same. Black series Padme is 11.5/64", and LC Padme is 14/64".

Checked around the closest spots in my area of South Jersey. Nothing in the Vineland/Millville area or Mays Landing/AC yet. TRUs do have the new Lego, though, and the TOR ship is astually MSRP. Also, Target in Millville reduced MH and CW to $4.98. So if you still want an Aqua Droid, now's the time to get it (it is pretty awesome).
Picked up Luke and Biggs, buy one get one 50% off, at local TRU here in San Antonio this evening. Left Vader, Biker Scout, Anakin, and Clone Sergeant. The only other figure from this wave I was interested in was Padme but she was not to be found. I did like the looks of Anakin though and will probably pick him up as well.
Found remains at a local TRU this afternoon. Picked up the Biggs and the Darth Vader. $9.99 each plus the BOGO sale.
