Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

So are the new Comic Packs and Droid Factory considered Legacy Collection? They certainly seem like TAC to me based on the packaging.

Yeah, but the mod said to post those finds here.

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

Yesterday I picked up all 6 WalMart Droid Factory sets, with the display box.

I was also fortunate to find all 3 WM exclusive comic book packs.

Since I had to drive quite a way to get to the nearest WalMart, you can't beat this kind of "one stop shopping"!

what are the droid packs selling for?
9.96 here in AZ
All the DF sets were $9.99. Funny thing is. I paid $11.88 for the comic packs and another scummer got them at a Wallie on the other side of town for $10.88. Those [censored].

The comic packs are $10.88 at my local Walmart too...very little consistency.

In VA and NC I paid 11.88. Inconsistent and ridiculous.

I took the $10.88 shelf tag with me up front and, even though the comic pack rang up at $11.88, they honored the tag.

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

It's great to see that so many collectors are finding all of the Droid Factory sets that they need.
Seems like there are plenty of sets in stock to go around.
It's nice to see considering that these Droid Factory figures are so cool.
I expected them to sell out quickly or be difficult to find.

Looks like Hasbro got this one right!!!
Good job!

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

Picked up the only two sets I was looking for, Vader and Pilot Luke. Vader's droid K-3PX has a swivel head, which was a bit of a surprise. I really like the X-Wing pilot Luke set. What a great deal, a SA pilot and a cool new sculp of R2 for under 10 bucks.

Disneyland. I was surprised to see it out early. They also had the Sith set and the Fetts in the new Legacy Packaging.

Score! At a little Walmart! Found the three comic book packs and the Droid Factory sets. Could only get three of those but they had plenty so I can go back and get the other three. Nice to finally have a SW score. It has been a while.

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

I picked up the Watto and R2-T0 Droid Factory Set at Wal-Mart a while ago. They had all the sets and comic packs, but I'm only interested in this one because i don't have Watto and the paintjob on the Astromech is kinda cool.

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

I hate to nitpick, but the Droid Factory sets really aren't part of the Legacy Collection ... or if they are, they still have the TAC packaging design. I'm not sure why eveyone insists that they should be in this section.

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

Picked up a complete set of the Droid Factory figures last night at Walmart. Passed on the comic packs as the only figure I like is the Neyo repaint but I can't bring myself to pay $10.88 for the one figure.

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

According to someone we know from the local boards, a few Clone Wars figures leaked onto the pegs at a Target in New Mexico. Also someone said that they saw a couple cases of the figures with the street dates on it at a Walmart in the Pheonix metro area but some of the stuff rang up as "not for sale". Keep your eyes out, you may get lucky before the 26th.

There were plenty of leaks befor ethe ROTS launch too, if I remember correctly. I'm going to avoid looking for these "leaks" though - the ROTS launch was really fun for me and I'm hoping to replicate it this year.

I hear ya. If I see them by happenchance I will pick up the new stuff but I am not going to actively try to seek them out or ask employees to get them out of the back room.

They may have TAC packaging design but they were created to kick off the BAD in the Legacy Line so in my opinion they should be in the Legacy section. There is no right or wrong answer though, it is pure opinion because they are their own line of toys.

Out of curiosity where do you believe the original Seperation of the Twins figures go (ROTS or TSC)?

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

As noted in the "Target" thread, picked up Sandstorm Luke, 2-Piece Helmet Vader, Yarna, and Bane Malar this morning (my first ever "before street date" score).

Vader, Yarna, and Bane have the "First Day of Issue" Sticker on them.

Re: Recent Acquisitions - TLC Edition

I just tracked down the Imperial and Rebel #2 Pilot Evolutions packs. I will post pictures soon.
Both I found on Amazon.com. The Rebs were $5 over normal retail, no biggie, but the Imps were $40. Only worth it just this once.
