Recent Acquisitions - Indiana Jones Edition

Supposedly Five Below has had the cars. I had a buddy get mine from down south. I did find the one plane at Hobby Lobby (mixed in behind other vehicles) but gave up and ordered the OB-3PO plane on eBay.
Found one today at Five Below after reading the thread. Thank you! Previously found the planes at Hobby Lobby after a couple of attempts.

At last month's comic convention I found TOD Temple Guard for €3 (not sure who's rifle or base he comes with), as well as a Golden Compass Lord Asriel figure (Daniel Craig). I got the Mrs. Coulter figure (Nicole Kidman) from the same seller last year, and I gotta say, both really impress me and work great for "new adventures with Indiana Jones" scenarios. Popco's figures were at least on par, if not slightly superior in certain aspects to Hasbro's work at the time.

What's curious is that Craig's headsculpt, which is pretty great for the scale, might work decently for a 3 3/4" Rick Deckard (Blade Runner) figure, leaving no unused parts.

I am almost certain that rifle and base came from a series of WW2 based action figures that were on shelves around the same time as that Indiana Jones line. I can't remember the name of the line for the life of me, but I was able to get quite a few German soldiers for Indy to fight at that time (they were inexpensive and came with lots of accessories).

What a great score, that Golden Compass figure is one I didn't know existed and now I'm seeing that Bladerunner custom myself.

Wouldn't this make a great Indiana Jones playset?

"You know how long I've been looking for that?"
"All your life."
"All my life."

There was no Last Crusade figure line when the film came out and I was always disappointed that they didn't make a 3.75 motorcycle with sidecar in the modern Hasbro Indiana Jones toy line.

Well Marauder Gun Runners is selling a motorcycle with sidecar for EIGHT DOLLARS, which I just can't understand. It isn't a perfect replica to what was in the film but it is EIGHT DOLLARS!

I have it and I think the figures look pretty good in it.

The details are very crude and simplistic for Schleich. Looks more like Playmobil. But it could be fun for display purposes.

What line is the Ripley figure from?

Somone else answered this on the board, perhaps in the recent acquisitions or one of the Batman collecting threads. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the manufacturer. A Japanese company that sold these as "build them yourself" kits.

Thanks for the tip. I got my sidecar motorcycle today and loaded it up with Retro figures since I could get to those:

Gentle Giant is like that… I feel like they always had a couple of different sculptors and one or two of them were fantastic and a few of them were really bad.
