South Park Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 for DVD they're 5 bucks each at Walmart right now. Good price to catch up on the classic South Park where back then in 1997-1998 it was actually funny
Really good deal. I may pick some up myself. Since I dropped Hulu I don't have access to all the old seasons of Souh Park.

I went to the pawn shop an hour ago today and bought these for DVD

Exorcist The Complete Anthology. Pretty nice box set where it has a 2 disc DVD of Exorcist that has a feature length documentary along with Exorcist 2, III, and both versions of the prequel movie; Dominion and The Beginning

Jurassic World

Secret Life of Pets 2 (I was bored by it - didn't have the magic of the 1st for me)
Lego Batman Family Matters (with the mini build Ultimate Batmobile)

Booksmart. Shame there wasn't a 4k release, but I guess they crunched the numbers and figured it wasn't worth it.

Wait a tic, isn't filming in HD these days? Why would it be more expensive to release 4K over standard HD, when the discs for both basically cost the same? Give or take a quarter. Same for the case holding said disc.

I mean if studios can afford to convert 20 year old movies to BD or even 4K, surely a new movie would be less costly.

It was an indie comedy, and I don't think it did too well at the box office. They likely figured that the money they'd have to spend to manufacture a production run of just 4K discs was more than they'd get from people who buy 4k discs. Then there's also the fact that not every studio is like Disney, Warner Bros, or Paramount. Some have less money and will choose to spend it more frugally or where they know they can get a win.

Went to Best Buy @ open with the intention of buying the Pixar Steel 4ks. But ended up only purchasing Aladdin '92 in 4k (using my Zavvi Steelbook, better artwork imo).

I could not justify dropping $34.99 each on the Pixar stuff. I will wait for an eventual sale.

The trend with the Disney catalog 4K steelbooks is for them to sit on shelves and once they hit the 46 day mark (outside of the window for Elite Plus members to price match) they will drop to $29.99
As much of a Disney/Pixar fan I am, I couldn't justify grabbing them at this price for subpar artwork. Some of these have had steelbook/ironpak/metalpak releases already with superior artwork. I will just buy the 4K discs elsewhere and throw them in the steels I already have.

Don't worry, i didn't spend a dime! Glad I was able to pass on all this. I still need to rent Aladdin 19 first.

Besides I'm starting to get bored with the artwork they're choosing to use for Steels.

How was MIBI? It looked decent, and a bit entertaining. But I never made it to theaters for it, only lasted one week here.

I bought a $40 portable DVD player so that we could watch some documentaries about the ancient sites we will be seeing on our vacation, while on vacation. I might bring along some movies for it too. I'll have to dig out some of my old DVD's, and see what of my blu-rays actually come with DVD's.

Nice! I'm also a Steelbook fan and I was able to order Spider-Man: Far From Home and Captain Marvel, but I also wanted Ant-Man, Guardians, and Doctor Strange. However, Best Buy Canada does not put limits on pre-orders so those three sold out quickly when pre-orders opened and now on release day still have not come back in stock. Yet I can buy them on eBay from sellers in Canada for $20-$40 more. Very frustrating.

Doctor Who - the Matt Smith years, the complette 11th doctor

21 discs include season 5 to 7 including all Xmas Specials and the 50th anniversary, all the extras of previous released versions and a few new extras too. Love the new box art design to blend in with the new title-logo of the Jodie Dr.
Can't wait for the Capaldi years coming in Dec. and I hope they do the same with Tennant and Eccleston too

stuff I got for DVD from the Walmart store earlier today

South Park Season 2
the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie
Batman Forever 2 disc DVD Special Edition that comes with green Riddler slipcover. it was 5 bucks cheap.

Im kind of tempted to go back to the Walmart store tomorrow and maybe buy one of the Universal Monsters Legacy collections for DVD or buy the entire seasons DVD box pack of Married With Children or just stick with buying Avengers Endgame or X-Men Dark Phoenix

Walmart, but only the Bluray not the 4k. It's a shame I would have gotten it there just for Nightmonkey....
