I can't wait to see how outrageously over priced THIS release will be.

Sounds cool, but I’m happy enough with my soft cover version. Glad the collectors with OCD can finally have their matching set!

If you don’t want to pay the high price, just wait until this gets funded. I’m sure the market will be flooded with cheap gently used soft cover versions.

I'm really on the fence with this. I have the original V1 which I think was $75 and the deluxe vol 2, vol 3 & vol 4.

I'm not sure I can justify paying $249 + shipping for this - 30 extra pages and in HB, especially when I look at what I'm getting for my money compared to the ReadFive book

Just about halfway there. However, most of these have started like this and slowed down to a nailbiter to make it to the goals. I hope this picks back up.

I'm sure it will, with so much time left. It'll atleast get funded. But I really want that slipcase! I wish I had more friends that would be interested in this book, I'd spam it on facebook. But no, my friends are all too old and just complain about bills and making jokes about some balloon.

I backed this. My OCD with having the first in softcover, and the following two volumes in hardcover, well, this will make things right on my book shelf. No desire to own Volume 4, so while a slip cover is neat, I'll only have the three volumes.

not if you get your hands on the volume 2 deluxe edition or if you put your first edition paperback in the set.

I own the Volume 2 Deluxe. Hmmmmm....how will that work on the slip cover?

I'll probably sell my Volume 1 paperback once I have Deluxe HC in hand.

I was really hoping it would be further along by now. I just hope it gets funded. The stretch goals would be awesome, but it doesn't look like it'll make it to them. But then theres just over a month to go yet. Maybe after people get their taxes back, they'll back this.

I grabbed a copy. Missed it the first time, hopefully it gets funded. I'd like to have the full set of his books.
That’s a neat collection. Having all of them is probably rarer than people think. This will fund and it’ll be a nice addition to the series.

I'm right there with you, with exception of volume 4. Not to mention, I work in the printing industry. I know costs of materials have gone up, but when I worked a quote for a nearly identical book compared to Volume 3 two years ago, it was $35K for 600 books. That was with my shop doing the printing and another company in Mass doing the binding. Even if the cost has jumped 30%, it comes out to $45,500. That is still WAY less than what he's seeking for funding. I really did consider adding volume 4, and part of me would really like to upgrade to a hardcover volume 1. However, these prices are just too much when there are other books with more collector oriented information available for less.

Less than 20,000 to go as they passed the 65,000 mark. I really hope they keep going. That slipcover would be a great addition to finish off the collection.

It's a little worrying. But theres still over twenty days to go. Plenty of time left.

Yeah, I think the last week will be when there's some real movement as people get their books before it ends. The slipcase is probably out of reach though.

I definitely believe there's plenty interested collectors for the slipcover. Maybe that needs to be a separate Kickstarter without stretch goals. Pretty sure that would be successful by itself.

Kim put an update on Facebook earlier today about trying to get the slipcover made.

Yes, glad you posted it. Need to get the book funded first, but I still have hope.
