Just reveale, Quinlan Vos will make his debut in The Black Series:

full

Who’s purchasing this figure?

Hell yea !!!! I’ll be buying two of these, especially to also make him in his Jedi attire tunic !!!!

I'm pleased the head could pass for Dark Horse comic Quin, even if the tunic makes it clearly TCW inspired

Glad they got around to him, thought we'd never get one

Psst Tholme and Villie next Hasbro
Yes, Villie would be great!

Quinlan "Foul Ball" Vos was a male Kiffar born in 58 bby who reached the MLB after a spectacular homerun in the Coruscanti Corral (38 bby)

I'm happy to get any iteration of Vos, but there's so many good looks I can't help but feel they are now delayed for 5+ years min. And episode 1 version would have suited the line well

His TCW design was always fine and probably the best.

The old Dark Horse version with his robes would be my 2nd choice. Forget about the TPM version…that’s just BS.

Man, I was so disappointed that they didn't go with this outfit.
Personally, I think it's a far cooler look, and I loved those graphic novels back in the day.

I'm really not even certain where the outfit they chose came from. (Clone Wars, I'm assuming.)
Doesn't look out and out horrendous, but it's giving a lot of the "Lemon Acolyte Jedi", imo.
Nothing a repaint can't remedy.

It's amazing what a yellow line on the face can do to up the coolness factor. I was on the fence, but the more I look at it the more I want it.

The design 100% the one from TCW put through a realism filter, same yellowy colour, the star symbol on his shoulder pad is the TCW multipronged design vs the basic star Kiffar Guardian emblem in the comics. No holstered blaster and shorter dreads.

Not that I mind it much, he looks very good

The dark horse outfit is cool, but this will stand out on the shelf more. He definitely stood out on the show. I assumed if we got him, this would be how.

The reason why is much simpler. This is the canon look, Dark Horse is much older and no longer considered canon. Same reason why we got S1 Asajj and Bounty Hunter Asajj but Tartakovsky or DH Ventress are unlikely. Yes they did some like Clone Armor Kenobi based on the 03 show but new canon gets the attention most of the time.

Same. It's really the only "canon" appearance he has. I don't even count the TVC figure they gave us. But at least it still same as one version of his EU looks.

Tbh I'm not sure what they based the TVC outfit on. It's not his DH Jedi robes (which the TLC comic figure didn't nail either, he usually has a more normal sleeved tunic) and certainly not what the retcon TPM extra was wearing.

I think that TVC figure was just a "concept" of another character but retconned into Vos from TPM of him supposedly sitting at that table on Tatooine. Blink and miss guy with yellow stripe on face. I do prefer the look from four posts up and why I like this TBS figure, because the only version previously available was an animated sculpt from TCW line. TBH, it was great figure for its time I just didn't care for the face sculpt or the overly slender body.

To me, Vos is such a strange character. Every time I look at him, I always think of the hippie Jedi pothead now after TCW. I'm a big fan of the character or, rather, before that version. So I watched clips of him on the show and was left very...confused. So he's Jack Sparrow, apparently. I much preferred TCW comic Vos. He was fantastic and a much better character there, IMO. But then he's even more strange when you know his actual history and how he started out as literally nothing but a background extra in TPM, but someone liked his design and retroactively turned him into a Jedi. So now, there's another Jedi on Tatooine in TPM, which makes NO sense. What is the excuse for why Qui-Gon didn't sense him or, for that matter, he didn't sense Qui-Gon and/or Anakin? Was he super stoned? :ROFLMAO:

If I remember, they actually addressed this in those comics. Quin was on an undercover job and did spot Qui-Gon, and if I recall (it's been a while since I've read those) he used the Force to minimize his "presence" so that Qui-Gon wouldn't notice him, even though he could tell that Qui-Gon could probably use some help.

But yeah, the Dark Horse version of Quinlan Vos is what is fueling my want here--he was such a good character and had an exciting story arc. I hated what they did with Quin in his Clone Wars episode.

Yea, he didn't know what Qui-Gon's actual predicament was, but he was undercover himself (that was his whole shtick in the old EU, infiltrating crime syndicates and generally living the life of a thug for months on end) . Pretty sure Qui-Gon did notice/recognize him and played along.

Imagine being the Tunisian who was a background extra in a movie 26 years ago and they made 5 action figures and 2 legos of you. Does he even know?

I don't know anything about this guy's backstory. Why does he have a baseball bat for a lightsaber hilt?
His Dark Horse comic story is really good. Commander Bly and Aayla Secura (his padawan) are prominent in it as well.

(That's the reason I was hoping for his Dark Horse outfit. I loved that graphic novel and would love to display the three together.)

I just have to keep in mind those comics are 25 years old and most newer fans will only know Vos as the surfer dunce Jedi who quotes the Dude

...

(Damn you Filoni)
